Showing annotation objects, I’m wondering how the two options “show annotation objects for current scale only” & “show annotation objects for all scales” introduce the same result (attached)! Despite the fact that these annotation objects are assigned to other scales (attached)
In these two cases, the only displayed annotation objects are those related to the current scale! Not all the annotation objects are displayed!

When they select objects, its not reporting on the commandline how many objects its found or keeping a running total of objects selected. Not even any duplications...
I've tested it on my machine but i cannot replicate the issue and have never come across this before!
Is it a bug? Is it a variable? User setting etc.
When publishing a sheet set some of my annotation labels are not showing up. If I open the sheet, they are there, set to print and everything is correct. If I print just that sheet, everything is fine. Only happens in publish. It's almost like the publish command isn't giving the drawing enough time to open and load everything before printing.

I wanted to use annotation scale objects long time ago, but I was scared…why?In the office no one knows what annotative objects are.
I already start to imagine the "curses" I'll get when they open my drawings in their computers and see that the dimensionin the drawing are not scaled the way they used to.
I was thinking about telling them a command that will do the magic.
Is there a setting to make it so when in VPMAX, that objects that are annotative will hold the scale of the viewport? it makes it very hard to place objects utilizing vpmax... doesn't make sense that it would change scales in a locked viewport.

Example: Return Air Drive by RAR, Sump by SMP etc. How is possible to select ALL the annotation with the same text and change them for the new ones? Every time that I select by text, either the MultiText or the Multileader objects are selected correctly but I can change only one at the time. Is there anyway to do the changing process in one shot for Text or Multitext with the same contents?
How to add a particular annotation for multiple selected multiline texts,In the attached screenshots, all Mtext were selected but couldn’t figure out how to add a particular annotation scale to them!

I couldn’t figure out how these three types of scales are correlated with one another. For example, my drawing unit in AutoCAD is meter. And thus if I need to print my drawing with a scale of 1:200 then I set the annotation scale to be 1:2viewport scale to be 1:2plot scale 100:1000
if I need to print my drawing with a scale of 1:20 then I set the annotation scale to be 5:1viewport scale to be 5:1plot scale 100:1000
I couldn’t derive the rule that controls these three types of scales. This is also quite confusing when working with C3D! Sounds not the same logic is applied.

I got a block that contains an attribute (attached) and created on layer zero while the current annotation scale is 1:100. As this annotation scale is changed (say to 1:200 or 1:50) this block moves from its original place to another one (as shown in the attached screenshots).
Noticed that the Dynamic Blocks in the Annotation Tool Palette are missing? Let me rephrase that, in the Tool palette they show up, but the dwg's that they reference are missing. I have 4 users that are currently testing Civil 3D 2013 and all of them are missing the files.
I'm sure I could copy them from 2012, but still.
When plotting to DWF my Civil Objects don't plot.

The orange items in question are blocks and are just copies of each other. However, the grass hatch underneath shows through the left one and not the right one. I checked the properties of both blocks and they are identical except for x/y position.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've recently started having a problem where some objects that I edit or insert, such as blocks, only show in white. The photo I show is an example. I recently used viewport clip in order to add in the detail shown on the top right, and when I did so, the viewport went white, and it has since not changed. It is supposed to show in yellow, as shown with the other viewports. When I change to "bylayer" it is white, and when I manually change it, it stays white. As shown, I've changed it manually to cyan, and it remains white.
I think this may be an obsucre system variable problem, but I'm not sure where to start.
I have a drawing done in AutoCAD Architecture 2013. Most of it is just lines, but I have a couple of Walls with Doors. It looks fine in the base drawing but when I xref into another file the walls revert to their original color and the doors have disappeared. The opening is there but no door.
I tried xredit and the doors are there but when I close that they are gone again. Tried detaching and reattaching...still have the problem.
After I posted this tried Display Configuration. Clicking all options for Doors gives me the doors...in a closed position, not the same as in the base plan.

Annotation scale option is displayed only in the model and viewport mode but not in the lay out mode (attached)!
Based on what annotative objects living on the lay out but neither in the model (or viewport) are re-sized? At this mode, there is no option to choose the annotation scale?
On other words, how to choose the annotation scale in the lay out mode?
why a drawing would open without a number of objects (text) showing? I open it up and all notes are gone, yet another user opens it up in "eDrawings" and it opens fine. Oddly, when in ACAD I click OPEN, the preview ACAD gives me when I click this file once shows the missing text etc. But when I open it they're missing.

i'm trying to learn about AutoCAD, today i was trying to create a Glass cup, i've created it with REVSURF, at my first try it got square with only SIX faces, so after some seraching, i was told to set "SURTFTAB1" and "SURFTAB2" to a higher number like 18, so i configured them to 36... After that, the cup was looking pretty good and round, but then, i rendered it, at the highest quality "Presentation". But the cup continues to show the flat little faces, i would like to know if it's normal or am i doing something wrong? maybe i should do it with a circle and then press/pull it with a smaller circle on the top?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with grid lines showing up in my print out from autocad, but only in the viewport that has 3D objects in it and displayed in conceptual mode or realistic mode. Don't know what is causing them or how to get rid of them. They do not show up on my screen or in the print preview. They only show up in the final prints and even when printing to a pdf file format. I have printed the same drawing out from other computers that have Autocad 2009 and do not get that problem. My computer has Autocad 2010. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Autocad but that doesn't work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently running AutoCAD 2013 LT on a Windows 7 64 bit system. I was recently running this same software on a 32 bit system computer and everything was running properly. After the upgrade, I have noticed a linetype issue that I cannot seem to get a handle on.
We use a "insul" linetype on building sections that should come out looking like an architectural insulation pattern. After upgrading to the new computer, this linetype only reads as dots, nothing else. I have gone to other comnputers in the office that are displaying this linetype properly and have copied their acadlt.lin as well as acadltiso.lin files over to my computer and it has not solved the problem.
I have a user who has been using certain solids for years with no problems but now having one.
These are simple flat object types "solid" objects that are simple direction arrows. If I print it from model space they are filled in. If I look at it and/or print it from paper space (in a viewport) it shows up only as an outline of the arrow.
FILLMODE is set to 1, have tried 0 also, doesn't change anything.
I just switched from Autocad 2007 to 2013. In 2007, when you move your mouse cursor on a vertice of a selected geometry, a rectangle for example, Autocad will automatically display the dimension of the geometry. This features seems to have been turned off by default. How to turn it back on?
