Every time that I open a new drawing which has clipped XRefs, the X clip frame is set to the number 2, and I set it back to number "0", but then when I finish that drawing and open another drawing, then the new drawing reverts back to X clip frame 2.
How or where I can change the setting to the default is always "0"?
I come across this problem from time to time and generally either just ignore it, if the detail is destined for in house manufacture, or alter it in autocad if it's destined for exterior suppliers.
Our guard frames are manufactured from extruded aluminum section (made by a company called palletti) I have when needed created a new frame generator frame member for each new x-section that we wish to use. I then draw a 2d sketch for the base frame skeleton and then a 3d sketch for all the frame work above. This I then use in an assembly to create the framework. This framework assembly then goes into a second assembly where the framework is then adorned with all the accoutrements that make up a guard frame that we can then order as an assembled frame, panels feet, hinges et al.
When placing the views for the detailing of the second assembly sometimes the view will show the wrong length for one or some of the frame members.
;note how the left and right views are different and how some of the frame members are elongated on the lh view.
I'm guessing its because of the home grown frame members but all seems to work well other wise and this only happens infrequently.

With all the service packs and updates installed 2012 still fails to sometimes recognize frame members properly. Not only is the frame mitre being ignored, the frame was never as long as the idw is showing. It was only as long as the edge. I have spent hours deleting and re-created the frame, views and even completely re-created the drawing but why it's doing this. 2010, 2011 & 2012 have all had frame generator bugs.

I tried uninstalling PS and reinstalling it again but I'm still having this error. It's always worked before, now I'm not sure what to do.

This only happens on one person's prints. All layers are thawed/on. Yet when he prints, there's a random line going across the drawing at 45 degrees. This happens if he prints from paperspace or modelspace. The line shows up right from the print preview. Since it only happens on his computer

View 3 Replies View RelatedI get this strange thing when editing clips in VS x3 - each clip has 3 frames the same at the beginning. It's a real pain, as it mean I have to cut each clip at the start. I always assumed it was something to do with the footage from my Canon HG20 camcorder. It's a HDD camcorder, and though I don't shoot in HD (I shoot in SP - 7 sbps), I never used to get the problem when editing mini DV clips. I recently downloaded the Pinnacle Studio 15 trial, however, and noticed that it didn't happen in that editor. I prefer VS X3, and also like the trial of VSX4, though the problem persists in that version, as well.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a single frame clip in my library, i want to put this clip into my timeline and i want it to be 10 seconds. I can just easily in/out in timeline and 'overwrite'. i don't like where i'm repeating a single frame and then still need to render it as 10 seconds clip.
This should be done like 'repeat' in the desktop tools. So in timeline when doing 'overwrite' , Smoke has to be smart to detect 1 frame edit so it just need to 'repeat' it not to 'timewarp' it.
And the another BAD thing , i can't have 'repeat' tool inside cfx . why ? so have to repeat the clip outside the cfx and go back into cfx.
I am facing this problem that when i give plot command and preview the window it show fonts different other than my main window. Also it prints as per the preview window and not as per the fonts present in my AutoCAD model space and layout.

The "Pre" image is when first inserting in the block into the drawing. The other two images are that after the drop down option of scale has been changed and when exploding the block and attempting to manually change it to the correct way.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn Acad 2012 (sp1, w64), it seems that, if a hatch has a scale too big to have something showing into the boundary, it renders as a solid hatch ! (previously, it rendered empty, as expected).
The attached file demonstrates the issue, with "dots" hatch samples at various scales. You can see that, at scale 80, where no point should be visible, it becomes solid !
It's a major annoyance, since I have lots of lisp-based automatic hatching of things, and, while it's not a problem to have an empty hatch whenever the boundary is too small for a given scale, getting a solid hatch instead is a big no-no.
How to get rid of this ?
Is there some indication that shows the “direction” of the digitizing?
For example, in the screenshot below, how to know the start and the end of the line? Which indication the AutoCAD provides rather than the coordinates?

1. Begin creating a new block using the block editor.
2. Add an object (circle) for reference.
3. Add an attribute with the following properties: Constant, Visible, Value (i.e. "34"), Justify: "Middle-Center." Make the tag
4. Save the block, exit block editor.
5. Insert the block into model space.
At least on my system, the constant attribute always shows up left justified. If I explode the block after inserting it, the constant attribute shows correctly. In addition, the constant attribute seems to be left justified with the TAG label from the block definition itself.
I have a bit issue with inserting xrefs in model space .Basically, when I insert the xref in model space, the xref shows in an angle.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using AutoCad 2012 Educational Version / Autodesk Design Review 2012 and DWG Truview 2013 and am unable to see Hebrew font within a drawing. The file title is in Hebrew and shows correctly when I open the file within any of the programs listed above, but any Hebrew text within the figure displays/prints as question marks?? I do have Hebrew as a font on my PC and have no issuues within other programs (Windows, MS Office 2010, etc.). As I need to edit the figures and text for Israeli clients, how can I get the Hebrew font to show??

What is really disappointing is that whenever a solid (or xref or block) is sectioned this way, it shows a back faces of that object. It makes the view messy and confusing, and then I have to use whiteout all over my paper space to make the drawing readable.

It was working fine. Then I just did a simple command (pattern a part) and the entire workspace blinked out. The first time it happened I hit UNDO and it was back. So I got out of the drawing and got back in and tried the pattern again. Same issue but this time when I hit UNDO it would not come back. I closed the file without saving and when I went back in the file the workspace is still nothing but white screen. In the browser everything is still visible except for those that I had already changed to invisible. I tried making an invisible to visible and nothing happened. I got out and tried opening the "old version" which should've been before any of this happened and it is also blank. I can go to an ipt or iam in the browser and hit open and it will open in another screen just fine. I just can't see my main assembly. I have Inventor 2012. It shows no errors or messages. I have even rebooted.
I looked thru the forum and found a past issue back in 2005 identical. I tried doing Find in Window on an item in the browser but for some reason that option is not even in the list when I right click.
I have an issue between XP 32 bit ACAD 2011 workstations and Windows 7 64 bit ACAD 2011 workstations...
1 - A Windows 7 user does a Paste Special>Paste Link>Microsoft Excel to insertembed a portion of an Excel worksheet into the DWG.
2 - various win7 and XP users make changes to the Excel worksheet directly in Excel
3 - Win7 users open the DWG to see the correct and updated Excel data in the DWG
4 - XP users open the same DWG to see OLD data from a previous save and not the correct updated data on the linked worksheet
5 - XP users directly open the Excel file in Excel and are able to view the correct updated data BUT NOT IN THE DWG
6 - XP users see old incorrect excel worksheet data in the DWG. Win7 users see the correct data in the DWG.
