I am facing this problem that when i give plot command and preview the window it show fonts different other than my main window. Also it prints as per the preview window and not as per the fonts present in my AutoCAD model space and layout.

Created new PC3 for KIP 3100 plotter using its AutoCAD Heidi driver for Win7x64. Upon plot preview the following error occurs.
This causes a crash report which has been submitted to Autodesk. The response was to install service pack 2. Error still occurs after installing the service pack.
Using the non-AutoCAD driver works.
When I trying to plott (or do a preview) with HP LaserJet 1525 nw configurated, autocad crashes. I have the latest drivers and updates installed Autocad 2011 64bits (sp2) on windows 7 64 sp1
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a coworker who is having trouble printing from AutoCAD 2011 (sp2) on his Dell Latitude, Win 7 64 box. Whenever we try to print or even do a print preview, it will crash the program
He has tried several printers and uninstalled and reinstall the drivers for them. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program as well.the Windows Application event viewer shows this when AutoCAD crashes.

Also, I have trouble remoting into his laptop because it will not display correctly with our Landesk software. So I'm wondering if this is a display problem rather than a printing problem.
When attempting to print drawings that have been printed before...much of my drawing will print but many lines and blocks will not show up in preview, or print. i wonder whatt he problem is, as there are some lines which have exactly the same properties (ie on the same layer with no overides etc). where some will print but others wont (ie on the same layer etc). A similar problem persists where some xrefs show in preview and others don't.
Also the stuff in layout space is part there and part not, where this layout title block etc is standard for all drawings and has always printed fine.
It seems the only way to solve it is to copy everything into new drawings (including xrefs) and start again....? I have checked layers, no print etc...
I have a drawing that I created with acad 2010 that has a pdf xref attached. I just updated to 2013. And now when I go to plot the drawing my xref shows up in preview but doesn't show up on the plot.
I can go back to my 2010 version, and it plots fine. What gives?
I received an Autocad file from another person, opened it with Autocad 2011 LT, and it looks fine. But when I go to print preview all the lines are very thick, making the detail of the drawing difficult to see. I've tried manually changing the lineweights but it has no effect on some of the layers. Is there an easier way to fix this other than recreating layers?

I am having trouble printing to an HP Designjet T770 from AutoCad LT 2012, on a Windows 7 computer.
I am using the HPGL/2 driver. I can print a test page, and I can print from other programs.
When I try to print, it looks like it is sending it normally, but the printer just ignores it.
I am able to print to this printer from AutoCad 2010 on a Vista computer.
I'm having an issue with Autocad LT 2010 where when I xref in my title block which has our company logo in color, the logo will only print in black and white. If i open just the title block and print it, it will then print in color. I only seem to have this problem when the title block is xref'd in. I downloaded the 2012 demo version of AutoCadLT and it prints just fine?This has just started happening when my computer was upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing that I created (.dwg) in Inventor 2013 that, when opened, is completely blank. However, when in the File>Open dialog box, I can click on the name of the drawing and the preview shows the complete drawing with all views fully dimensioned. I closed Inventor, laucned AutoCAD and tried opening the same file and it was still blank (no views). I then closed that file and open the old version of the file from the, "OldVersions" folder with Autocad and all the views and dimensions were there.
So I launced Inventor again and reopened the offending print and noticed that the model is not shown in the drawing's model tree. I'm 100% positive that I did not delete this model/view from the drawing before saving the file. This is a small drawing and it will only take me a few mintues to recreate it.

I'm using AutoCAD Map 3D 2009.
I've created a simple drawing in CAD that contains a cropped JPEG, a two toned hatched polygon in behind it two MTexts overlaying all.
I cannot view them in either normal plotting, pdf format, jpeg format and even dwf.
I've increased the ram used in the "Raster Extension Options" (2000 MB), I've set the plotting in the "Process Document" to "...In computer", I've saved it in older formats (2000/2004/2007), I've placed the drawing on both our public drives as well as the local, I've adjusted the "Raster and Shaded/Rendered Viewports" & "OLE" settings in the "Device and Document Settings" (None to Best). Not to mention the other variations in the plot menu.
I've tried everything I can think of and have read through several threads here and nothing works.
What drives me nuts about this, is that I'm able to print from a layout with no problems a 3D drawing, with 2D hatching, an extensive title block with hatching and a secondary overall viewport (minimal detail) in the main viewport area.
Using ACAD 2008, I am having an odd problem where when I print preview/plot this drawing with a viewport the result is a blank page but when I remove the viewport it plots fine.

Using the plotter configuration editor, you can treat True Type fonts as "text" or "graphics". How about .shx fonts? My goal is to plot drawings (containing .shx fonts) in PDF whose text are content readable.
Have a dwg with two layouts sheets that print to pdf in paper space - one layout works just fine the other NOT.
Both include one view port and a few small details as pdf underlays(@ 150 kb each) in the PAPER space layout.
The problem sheet - ran a very slow plot preview but it did complete a full view of the layout, then when selected to do the plot it never completes the pdf.
I tried a pdf plot of the same area in MODEL space and it previews just fine and plots to a pdf just fine.
The Autocad 2013 x86 or x64 is not installed on Windows 8 Consumer Preview because programs can not read .NET Framework versions 2 and 4 which are integral parts of the OS.
View 5 Replies View RelatedTwo of our computers have windows 7 and we are unable to publish or if we plot we have to wait until that page is completed before sending another page otherwise only some the information shows up when printed (ie. no dimensions or no title block). This does not happen on the other computer in the office which still has windows XP.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been having this issue with autocad generated color PDF printouts having "fuzzy" fonts and some other black objects. What I have traced it to is that the PDF created by the stock Autodesk PDF ePlot renderer/driver is printing those fonts (and other things like lines with global width) in rich or enhanced black. 75,68,67,90 CMYK to be precise. When this is done without some sort of 100% K border (and sometimes even with) it leads to a blurring of the edges because the registration is never perfect. There is often even some ghosting due to the sheer amount of toner.
Some printer drivers have a way of forcing or selecting this "Enhanced Black" but I see nothing in the settings. I wonder if this can be externalized. It seems that at least fonts should almost never have this turned on.
I have a site drawing which has a decently high resolution satellite image underneath. When I try to plot to a pdf, the underlying satellite image doesn't show up. In the plot-preview mode it does show up, but not in the actual pdf created.

Looks like the format is not forwarded correctly to the printer when printing A3, it comes out as A4. If we change paper format in printer properties to A3 it works fine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedCoworker is setting up a new Win7 (64bit) machine but we don't have the ability to upgrade CAD at this time. So running AutoCAD Mechanical 2007. (Yes we know they don't always play nice) Two other workstations here are running the same OS & CAD and print without issues. This new machine AutoCAD does not see any system printers. Have made sure the "Hide System Printers" is not checked under options. I can add a plotter file for each system printer and that workaround is OK, but why this one machine can't see the system printers. They are Xerox workstations on the network - not local. We have already restarted AutoCAD and restarted the PC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a layout with a border that is alligned very well in the layout view (see attachement 1) but the whole thing somehow moves to the left when I preview the plot (attachement 2). I thought the dashed lines were supposed to indicate my printer's plot area. Is there a way to fix this anomanly? I have tried to play with page setup options, application options, but nothing works.
