Oct 28, 2013PDF linework some is missing in PDF yet shows in autocad plot... I beleive xref has something to do with it but cant seem to get it.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Fonts Shows And Print Different In Windows And Plot Preview
Nov 28, 2012I am facing this problem that when i give plot command and preview the window it show fonts different other than my main window. Also it prints as per the preview window and not as per the fonts present in my AutoCAD model space and layout.

Oct 31, 2012I have a drawing that I created (.dwg) in Inventor 2013 that, when opened, is completely blank. However, when in the File>Open dialog box, I can click on the name of the drawing and the preview shows the complete drawing with all views fully dimensioned. I closed Inventor, laucned AutoCAD and tried opening the same file and it was still blank (no views). I then closed that file and open the old version of the file from the, "OldVersions" folder with Autocad and all the views and dimensions were there.
So I launced Inventor again and reopened the offending print and noticed that the model is not shown in the drawing's model tree. I'm 100% positive that I did not delete this model/view from the drawing before saving the file. This is a small drawing and it will only take me a few mintues to recreate it.
I'm using Inventor 2013, SP1.1

AutoCAD 2013 :: Warning / Incompatible Or Missing Plot Style
Dec 5, 2013Publish works as expected in foreground, uses proper page setup plot style and color table an dthe results are black on white.But when using PUBLISH in background it shows an error for each ""WARNING: Incompatible or missing plot style"" and the created PDF's are in color instead of balck and white.

Jun 8, 2011I'm working with Architecture 2011 and when I draw a 2D section, the defining line is missing for the structural members cut by the section. The hatching displays fine but the line around the material isn't there.
Under the material definitions I've got the 2d section / elevation linework turned on and under the elevation style I've got the defining line turned on and set to by material.
The defining line will come on if I turn on the inner and outer shrinkwrap but then it's color is defined either by layer or by color in which case it's all the same color and i have to manually edit the linework to change the color.

Apr 23, 2012I'm trying to consolidate a lot of the linework onto a couple of layers that I will be importing into SketchUp. So what I did was created a new layer (Base), turned on all of the layers with the linework that I wanted to move onto that layer, highlighted the linework, right-clicked and opened "Properties," and changed the layer option to Base.
Now, when I check the properties on the linework, it says that it is all on the Base layer. However, when I turn on or off or export the Base layer, it doesn't affect all of the linework, but when I manipulate the layers that the linework was originally on, it does.
In other words, if you look at the objects' Properties, it says they are all on the layer I want them to be on. However, when I try to work with that layer, it does not affect the linework that I want to be in that layer.

AutoCad :: Plot Styles Table Only Shows STB Files
Jun 28, 2013When I go to plot, my plot styles table only shows .stb files. I have a bunch of .ctb files that exist in the plot styles folder, and everything is pathed correctly but the .ctb files do not show up in autocad. How can I get these files to be available?
(They do show up in some drawings for some reason though, just not when I create a new drawing file.)

Jan 22, 2013I have a drawing that I created with acad 2010 that has a pdf xref attached. I just updated to 2013. And now when I go to plot the drawing my xref shows up in preview but doesn't show up on the plot.
I can go back to my 2010 version, and it plots fine. What gives?

Sep 30, 2013I have just switched over to 2014 and i cannot for the life of me get my batch plot to plot PDF's to a single file! Instead, it's printing all 37 layouts separate. I tried switching between multi-file & single file in the publish options, but nothing!
i know that it took me a while to perfect my settings the last time i set up a new version, but i am struggling to work it out now.

Jan 2, 2014We used a block which contains deisel expressions for our plot stamp. When we publish through the sheet set manager it shows a temp folder where the drawings are spooled to instead of the actual drawing saved path. We can fix this buy turning off background plotting when we publish, but I was wondering if there is a way to show the saved path instead of the spoolled path when publishing in the background.
Below is the expression found in our plot stamp block.

Revit :: Phantom Duplicate Linework In 2013 Project
Jul 22, 2013Not sure what to categorize this as, throw it under another 2013 oddity.
We have a project that has some filled regions causing graphics issues. What happens is the plan elements around a filled region are being transposed onto the filled region causing a "ghosting" affect on the filled region. See attachment.
It is happening in both Arch and MEP and I've tested it with update 2 and update 3 installed. No changes with an audit either.
AutoCAD LT :: Lines Missing In Plot
Jan 26, 2012When I plot part of a large detailed drawing about 10% of the lines and text is missing. I'm using a Konica 7135/IP-423 PS laser printer. Happens if I print any method and shows the entities missing in print preview too. They seem to be in the same layer but not all of the entities in that layer are missing. It's in color 30 and changing the color didn't work either.
I set hide precision = 1 that didn't work either. I'm plotting in model space.

Lightroom :: Folder Sync Shows All Files As Missing And The Same Number As New
Dec 27, 2012moved from PC to Mac by external hard drive. Remapped path to images. Everything is fine but when I do the folder sync command it shows me 100 % of my images as missing and the same amount as new files. There are no explanition marks in the tree view and this is the only indicator that something is wrong.
On the PC everything is fine. If I click on show file in finder for a picture finder opens with the correct file marked.
So I wonder whether I can trust that folder sync feature?

Feb 14, 2013i'm having an issue with C3D 2013, i have a plan drawing, with various layouts linked with a sheetset. I'm having trouble when plotting them from the sheet set. It doesn´t plot my alignment labels. Also happening on some other drawings like plan and profile. If i do plot them one by one from the drawing, they plot fine. The problem is that it's a lot of drawings to be ploting one layout at a time...

Jul 27, 2006I just completed a new drawing from scratch and I'm ready to plot. Problem is that the plot styles are missing. I tried opening another drawing to see if the plot style would show up, and it did. For some reason this new drawing is missing most of the plot styles.
Is there a way to load them into this new drawing? Also, is there a way to avoid having to load them everytime I create a new drawing?
AutoCAD 2013 :: Command Prompt Only Shows Last Line
May 1, 2013We (the entire office) haven't had this issue in 2012, but in all of our 2013 installations, this is occurring.
In 2012, several rows are displayed in the command prompt, say for example you do a distance command, there are two rows of text showing the information the user might want to see. It displays the first row of, distance, the angle in XY plane and the angle from XY plane. The second row displays the delta X, delta Y and delta Z.
In 2013, it only displays delta X, delta Y and delta Z. The user have to hit "F2" to invoke the "AutoCAD Text Window" to view the first line of text.
I hope there is a variable setting for this, and not an oversight by Autodesk.
AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Missing Information When Printing?
Sep 23, 2011I have a rather bizarre issue within AutoCad when printing.
This is affecting multiple people, using various machines (all the same model). It is happening when they print to multiple printers, and also when they print to PDF.
They are losing some information. The drawings themselves usually look ok, it is some of the extra data. This can be in the footnote information in the corner. This can be data within the actual drawing. It is not a guaranteed fault, and affects them all intermittently.
AutoCAD 2010 :: Missing Plot Style Table
Feb 6, 2012Here's my problem: I have a customized plot style table "SK.ctb". I have it saved both in the appropriate folders on my computer and in a shared folder on the network. Usually when I am working in a file and open the plot window, my plot table is available in the list at the upper right "Plot style table (pen assignments)".
Right now I am working in a drawing that was sent to me by another firm. They of course didn't send me their pen assignment tables, not that I really care as I would rather edit the layer colors if necessary, but use my own. The problem is that in the plot window it is only showing their plot styles - none of mine! Theirs are all listed as missing, but I can't get it to even look for the plot tables I usually use.

Mar 20, 2012I am working in Civil 3D 2011 and cannot call up my sheet set manager. I have used it before but not recently. Here are the things I have tried.
1. Sheetset command in the commanline doesn't produce the palette and shows no error.
2. Opensheetset command in the command line brings up the dialog box to browse to my sheetset. I select it and click open and there is no error but still does not display my sheetset manager.
3. Opened up my cui and made sure the sheet set is added to my work space, visible, and docked and still nothing.
4. Clicked the sheetset palette button on my view ribbon under the Palettes tab.
5. Restarted the computer.
Still haven't gotten the sheetset manager back.
AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Publish Sheet Name Is Missing Dwg Prefix
Oct 8, 2012One workstation out of 50+/- when we publish, does not show the drawing prefix on the sheets in the "Sheet Name" list. The attached file shows a good list but that one computer is missing the prefix and if we're attempting to publish several drawings in model space, they would all have the same name so AutoCAD will not allow it because they would all have the same name . How do i get this drawing name prefix back?
