i'm having an issue with C3D 2013, i have a plan drawing, with various layouts linked with a sheetset. I'm having trouble when plotting them from the sheet set. It doesn´t plot my alignment labels. Also happening on some other drawings like plan and profile. If i do plot them one by one from the drawing, they plot fine. The problem is that it's a lot of drawings to be ploting one layout at a time...
View 2 RepliesI am running CV3D 2011 on a Windows 7 64 bit workstation. I have a road profile that has a band which labels the existing and proposed profile elevations. For some reason the profile band labels (including the stations) randomly disappear and all you see is the band box. If you REgen they will reappear but will dissapear again when you plot preview and they WON"T plot...even though they are there in the drawing!

Two different plot settings (saved as page setups) will produce different results for exactly the same 34"x22" output. I have been bucking this problem since I started using AutoCAD C3D. I have a program to adjust the label scaling of my point labels so they are readable in both model space and layouts and when non-raster plotters are used, but now I must adapt it for other C3D labels before I can use them.
Below is my setup for plotting ANSI-D (34"x22") TIFF files at 288dpi. I have been using this plot device and setup almost exclusively since about 2001. The output is 9792 pixels x 6336 pixels which is set as a custom paper size to match my 288 dpi resolution (it is 288dpi because that is a multiple of 72dpi which is the default resolution of AutoCAD's TIFF raster output. It is 72dpi regardless of the fact that the plot scale is specified as 288 pixels = 1 unit or 288dpi). I must reset the dpi to 288 using image software so the resulting PDF will have a size of 34"x22" instead of 136"x88". You can see in the preview output I captured that their size difference cannot be attributed to these size differences. The plots are of the exact same layout showing point labels with only the page setup changed.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI cannot for the life of me get the start and end labels for any band to display within a profile view. Each band has the 'label start' and 'label end' labels ticked and the major/minor labels display at every other point but don't display anything at the start of the view or end. The profile views are taken from a simple straight alignment and the profiles themselves extend the full length of the view.

I tried to on/off the annotation visibility tabs in the lower right corner (attachement 03)
Note: While creating the sheets, I select the tabs for pipe network & copy pipe network labels to destination drawings (attachment 02).
I am trying to create a surface rise:run slope label for our company template file. I have it set using the default values that I want. But right now the text is just 1:1...where we want it to read 1V:1H.
how I can keep the label dynamic to the surface, but put the V & H in the label after the values.?
I think it is normal to want a style showing stationing, speed design stattions, etc.But.... Radii of curves ? Clothoid parameters ?
Why is the reason Autodesk developers think that designers dont want to see this information instead of "add labels, aligments, multiple segments,. etc ....

I have a stationing line. I've used the block PTTICL to make ticks. The ticks display perfectly. I'll run through a plot preview and the ticks show on the plot preview. I push plot go to the printer and the ticks are not plotted.
I've checked the layer. They are on a layer that should print.

I've run through a number of options regarding the alignment label properties and found "display" to be equal to "true."
Everything else plots just fine. Only the station label ticks refuse to plot. My project is fairly short so the work around was to put a poly line right on top of the tick mark.

I've just installed LR4 and imported my catalog from LR3. All have imported OK apart from the fact that I had my pictures colour labeled and these don't show in LR4. The labels show in Bridge so they are still there but don't show in Lightroom.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I plot part of a large detailed drawing about 10% of the lines and text is missing. I'm using a Konica 7135/IP-423 PS laser printer. Happens if I print any method and shows the entities missing in print preview too. They seem to be in the same layer but not all of the entities in that layer are missing. It's in color 30 and changing the color didn't work either.
I set hide precision = 1 that didn't work either. I'm plotting in model space.

Im using ACAD 2011.I had to send my client an .pdf drawing.When I went to plot my drawing using the .dwg to .pdf all of my plot stlyes have dissapeared Ive been trying to get them back. How all of the styles are gone. How to return them?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just completed a new drawing from scratch and I'm ready to plot. Problem is that the plot styles are missing. I tried opening another drawing to see if the plot style would show up, and it did. For some reason this new drawing is missing most of the plot styles.
Is there a way to load them into this new drawing? Also, is there a way to avoid having to load them everytime I create a new drawing?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a rather bizarre issue within AutoCad when printing.
This is affecting multiple people, using various machines (all the same model). It is happening when they print to multiple printers, and also when they print to PDF.
They are losing some information. The drawings themselves usually look ok, it is some of the extra data. This can be in the footnote information in the corner. This can be data within the actual drawing. It is not a guaranteed fault, and affects them all intermittently.
Here's my problem: I have a customized plot style table "SK.ctb". I have it saved both in the appropriate folders on my computer and in a shared folder on the network. Usually when I am working in a file and open the plot window, my plot table is available in the list at the upper right "Plot style table (pen assignments)".
Right now I am working in a drawing that was sent to me by another firm. They of course didn't send me their pen assignment tables, not that I really care as I would rather edit the layer colors if necessary, but use my own. The problem is that in the plot window it is only showing their plot styles - none of mine! Theirs are all listed as missing, but I can't get it to even look for the plot tables I usually use.
PDF linework some is missing in PDF yet shows in autocad plot... I beleive xref has something to do with it but cant seem to get it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am working in Civil 3D 2011 and cannot call up my sheet set manager. I have used it before but not recently. Here are the things I have tried.
1. Sheetset command in the commanline doesn't produce the palette and shows no error.
2. Opensheetset command in the command line brings up the dialog box to browse to my sheetset. I select it and click open and there is no error but still does not display my sheetset manager.
3. Opened up my cui and made sure the sheet set is added to my work space, visible, and docked and still nothing.
4. Clicked the sheetset palette button on my view ribbon under the Palettes tab.
5. Restarted the computer.
Still haven't gotten the sheetset manager back.
One workstation out of 50+/- when we publish, does not show the drawing prefix on the sheets in the "Sheet Name" list. The attached file shows a good list but that one computer is missing the prefix and if we're attempting to publish several drawings in model space, they would all have the same name so AutoCAD will not allow it because they would all have the same name . How do i get this drawing name prefix back?

View 9 Replies View RelatedCoworker is setting up a new Win7 (64bit) machine but we don't have the ability to upgrade CAD at this time. So running AutoCAD Mechanical 2007. (Yes we know they don't always play nice) Two other workstations here are running the same OS & CAD and print without issues. This new machine AutoCAD does not see any system printers. Have made sure the "Hide System Printers" is not checked under options. I can add a plotter file for each system printer and that workaround is OK, but why this one machine can't see the system printers. They are Xerox workstations on the network - not local. We have already restarted AutoCAD and restarted the PC.

We also tried for "HIDEPRECISION=1" command , even then not displaying it.
Then we use "OBSCUREDLTYPE=1" then the missing object display but other all lines get too dark in the same drawing .
For sample , I have attached one pdf , in which you can see the missing line and object marked with bluecolor box.
any other solution to display the missing object.
