I have a template with layouts of different sizes that had been working fine with a previous Xerox 6204. My D size and E size automatically oriented with the 36" side parallel to the roll feed. I have since moved to a job that got a Designjet T2300. On this machine the D size orients the 24" side parallel. This wastes 1' of paper on the left and uses 1' extra as it runs the 36" side perpendicular. I have been unable to rectify the problem. I have tried printing in portrait, that actually cut off some of the image. I have tried all types of rotation within the driver and layouts. Tech support had me going into the machine settings and set rotation to 90. Nothing. There is a warning that "HP utilities" is not installed. Could this be a remedy? When the tech came to set up the printer he installed the necessary drivers but mad no mention of this utility.
Looks like the format is not forwarded correctly to the printer when printing A3, it comes out as A4. If we change paper format in printer properties to A3 it works fine.
I am trying to plot a layout sheet 24'' W x 18" H. The frame on my sheet is 22''W x 16''L (inside the dash lines limits we see on the layout). I believe I prepare the print correctly:
- Select the printer (HP DESIGN JET PS) - I use the window fonction to select the printable area ( left upper corner and then the opposite corner). - Select Paper size Arch C (landscape) - Paper orientation: Lansdcape
The preview shows that the upper and bottom lines of my frame will not print, and they do not, even if I try (see the attachement below).
Printing pdf's to an HP Designjet 1055 using the new Acrobat X version. I can't change the page size from 8.5x11and nothing comes out at the 1055. Works fine to our Xerox 6204 printers. Looks like I could be going back to Acrobat 9.4...
I'm having an issue with Autocad LT 2010 where when I xref in my title block which has our company logo in color, the logo will only print in black and white. If i open just the title block and print it, it will then print in color. I only seem to have this problem when the title block is xref'd in. I downloaded the 2012 demo version of AutoCadLT and it prints just fine? This has just started happening when my computer was upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit.
I recently upgraded from 2010 to 2012 and when trying to plot, using the very same page setups as before the upgrade, the quality (or resolution) of the plot is very poor and pixelated. I am using very high resolution aerial imagery. The output is not at all high resolution (totally pixelated, not presentable as professional). It seems like AutoCAD is reducing the image quality now. Is this a system variable that can be adjusted?
I'm using autocad 2000 and I have a problem printing & plotting. The print, plot preview only shows a section of the drawing. What settings do I need to change for the entire drawing to print for the paper size I need.
I have all of our .pc3 files on a server, and have created them in the order I would like to see them, however they come in a random order. I have moved them out of the folder, and back in the order I want with no luck. I tried renaming them with numbers in front, and then with letters in front to try and populate the list in a certain order. I only have 16 .pc3 files and MAXSORT is default at 6000.
We are using page setups as well which are not a problem, but the occasional time we need to print to a specific .pc3 file gets annoying having to sort through the list to find the one we want.
Just installed 2012 from 2000. Plot style table (file copied from old installation) has all colors set to grayscale=off but is printing with grayscale.
Two of our computers have windows 7 and we are unable to publish or if we plot we have to wait until that page is completed before sending another page otherwise only some the information shows up when printed (ie. no dimensions or no title block). This does not happen on the other computer in the office which still has windows XP.
i used the page setup and creat new setup to print some area ..
ist possible to make a setup to print multi area .. - when i creat new one it ask to select what i want to print , but it just ask once ,if i want to print other thing i need to creat new setup ...
Before upgrading to 2012 from 2010 (against our will), our publishing tool worked seamlessly with our XEROX 6604. Now, strangely only one user out of seven has the ability to publish a set of drawings without crashing AutoCAD. We are happy that it works on his machine, but it seems very odd that the rest of us are affected when our PCs are the same spec and setup.
All of the proper drivers and firmware are up to date.
On PC_71, While ploting(creating the pdf via autocad) the pdf,its everytime coming in portait format but we want in landscape format.
On PC_71, if we create the pdf of any document by our Adobe pdf printer PRT13 then its creating pdf properly for both portait and landscape format . But for any autocad drawing file , the pdf printer PRT13 is not creating in landscape format.
I also cross-checked all plot setting with other proper working PC , its same then also its behave differently.
And if we create pdf on any other PC then its creating the pdf properly for any drawing but not on PC_71.
Also 1 more typical point I noticed that if we delete any pdf file from PC_71, then after refreshing its again appeared on same location.
Copied the printer configuration (pc3 and pmp) from AutoCAD 2013 to AutoCAD 2012. Plot the same drawing with that same printer configuration. With AutoCAD 2013, it plots out fine - page orientation landscape. In 2012, it plots out wrong. The orientation of the drawing is correct, but the paper is changed to portrait?
The plot setting are exactly the same in both versions.
Coworker is setting up a new Win7 (64bit) machine but we don't have the ability to upgrade CAD at this time. So running AutoCAD Mechanical 2007. (Yes we know they don't always play nice) Two other workstations here are running the same OS & CAD and print without issues. This new machine AutoCAD does not see any system printers. Have made sure the "Hide System Printers" is not checked under options. I can add a plotter file for each system printer and that workaround is OK, but why this one machine can't see the system printers. They are Xerox workstations on the network - not local. We have already restarted AutoCAD and restarted the PC.
I am facing this problem that when i give plot command and preview the window it show fonts different other than my main window. Also it prints as per the preview window and not as per the fonts present in my AutoCAD model space and layout.
When printing in 3d with the vp set to 3dhidden and the shade plot set to hidden legacy some solid items print with the wire frame. This usualy happens with torus and cones. How do I stop this?
We just started in 2014 last week. When we batch plot to PDF using the DWG to PDF driver we get multi-page files no matter which is selected in the Publish Options. Any way to allow single sheet PDF creation?
I have a drawing where some lines have a 60% screening in there Plot Style. The print great from AutoCAD. But when I create a PDF and then print the PDF the Screened lines show up kind of blue / purple.
I am plotting to a Cannon iPF720 on 22x34 paper from Acrobat Reader X. I'm creating the PDF from AutoCAD 2012.
I get "Fatal Error: Unhandled c000000dh Exception at 24079af3h" every time when I print to pdf with Acrobat 9 in AutoCAD 2012. However, the Acrobat converter is working properly in other applications. It only happens in ACad 2012.
I have two layers. One is set to red color, the other to blue color (using ctb). I have both layers defaulted to 1 mm line weight thickness. Blue is continuous and Red is dashed.
When printing the blue layer prints at the correct weight of 1mm, while the dashed red layer prints at a much smaller thickness. All line properties are set to default or bylayer (this is not being caused by the lines having individual special properties).
When I am printing from AutoCAD LT 2012, I randomly get this error message every 10 to 15 drawings that I print. Considering that I print 10-15 drawings at one time, I am getting a fatal error every time I print a set. Why? I don't get this error when printing in AutoCAD 2011LT or 2012 Full Version.
I’ve done it before in the past so I know its possible but I have forgotten how. See the attached image I would like to change the printable area of my paper space layout.
