I have multiple layout pages (58 pages) and would like to print them in a printer at once. How do I do that?
Currently, I open 1 layout at a time then print it 1 by 1, in which its killing me specially if I do have lots of drawings.
Publish does saving in DWF, PDF... But does not print in the printer.
Is there anyway to bring up a the printer dialogue box or tell the printer I need more than 1 print of the layout? It's time consuming to hit that printer button x number of times. I just had to print 50 pages of the same layout today and it would be so much easier to let the printer print the 50 copies instead of sending 1 page 50 times to the printer.

View 5 Replies View RelatedBeen attempting to batch plot numerous dwg files to a printer via publisher. Has been successful on 2010, however experiencing difficulties in 2012.
Method used
open dwg file
set page set up to that required
save down dwg
print>Batch plot
add rest of dwg files to be plotted
remove all layouts to retain only Model Space
Highlight all dwgs
Select page set up from currently open dwg file
Publish
Result - only active dwg prints
I have one drawing per file at model tab. When I need to plot a multiple page file, I use:
Print > Batch Plot.
The problem is that I have to set plot configurations ( plot style table, plot area, paper size, etc) in each file before use Batch Plot.
Now I received 722 files with a wrong Plot Style Table. For this time I change the associated *.ctb file at Plot Style folder, but I will need to associate the right *.ctb to each drawing. It's also common to have to change other properties.
Using ACAD 2008, I am having an odd problem where when I print preview/plot this drawing with a viewport the result is a blank page but when I remove the viewport it plots fine.
View 0 Replies View RelatedWhen I try printing, autocad gives me the following message (see attached pic). I deleted that driver out of system preferences. Yet it sitll keeps looking for it. I get the spinning rainbow for about 5 minutes, the the print dialogue eventaully comes up. I can print, but that takes over 5 minutes as well. Seems like autocad gets stuck in a loop looking for a driver or something. How do I fix this. Printing a single pages takes me about 10 minutes. Do anything within the page setup manager results in a spinning icon for a few minutes as well.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy company will be getting a new large format printer to replace the current one we have. We don't have room enough to have both running at the same time so I'm imagining one-day down then viola, we have a new printer.
How I can prepare for this as far as creating the necessary Plot Styles, pc3, pmp...files? Because i have many items on my to-do list, this could take a day or two with all the testing and i can't image the uproar from our CADers about going without a plotter for two or three days.
When I print to .pdf for A1 and plot, no worries, all lineweights print solid and perfectly. However, when I print to .pdf for A3 (scaling lineweights), whilst all the lineweights appear solid on the screen, when I plot the layers that are set to transparency are faded/rough/broken on paper.
Ticking the plot transparency box doesn't work and it happens to my printer at home and at work. I haven't used transparent layers before and have adopted this drawing created through someone else.
I have to set up my drawing on the model page so that I can save it as a PDF and then transfer it into adobe illustrator. My scale is 1:1, and when I put it on the model page I'm doing a 1/8" : 1' scale. It should fit on the page no problem, its only a 9" model plan on 1/4 scale, so it should be 4.5" on the page. However, it's too big for the page.

I have unistalled and reinstalled all the drivers and software. I have also replaced the ink cart. too. When I print in AutoCAD 2011 it acts like it is printing stuff, but it goes throught the whole process and nothing prints. I just started creating PDFs and sending them to the printer, but thought I would give it a new shot.

I am trying to configure a networked printer using a PS driver. I am not able to print floor plans full page. It is only printing 1/4 of the plans.
configuring the device? The device is a Canon IRC5185.
I do have an HP print locally and it works perfectly fine.
I tried printing a plan with my printer and for some reason it wont print in portrait mode, no matter how much i change the settings it does not change the page orientation, the preview also shows it to be in landscape mode
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some very strange problems printing from Autocad. Some of the text is missing. The printer used is a HP9500. If I use a PDF driver to print to file, then print from the PDF file, it's ok, the text is showed, but printing directly from autocad has been resulting in this type of issue.
I checked the layers, and they are ok. The fonts are ok. It's not printing some text "near the viewport" borders. It was what I could conclude.
AutoCAD 2013 crashes during the plot configuration for our printer. When I select Custom Properties for our Kip 5000 Series Printer I get an Unhandled Exception popup. When I click continue I get a message that "AutoCAD Applicaiton has encountered a problem and needs to close", the program crashes. AutoCAD 2013 will not let us select the kip 5000.pc3 file we used for Autocad 2012.
How can I set my printer up if it keeps crashing the program. Is there a new driver for 2013, if so where do I find it. Is it from AutoCad or the printer company Kip America (who have yet to reply to my email).

I'm using autocad 2000 and I have a problem printing & plotting. The print, plot preview only shows a section of the drawing. What settings do I need to change for the entire drawing to print for the paper size I need.

It is currently at 1:1 and want to change that to a more appropriate scale.
We are running Civil 3d which we jumed from Land Desktop 2004 (I know, wow). I cant figure out why I cant bulk plot my tabbedd sheets like I could in previous versions. I can PUBLISH in bulk, but not PLOT.
Am I missing something here?
Many times when I receive a drawing from an architect, when I go into the layout tab the titleblock info/XREF doesn't line up with the page layout. I would assume it lined up when the architect sent it to me in his software. For years the solution I use is to XREF the architects PDF in the layout and then go to print and change the Print Offset till it looked right in the print preview. Then I would apply it to the layout. I would then take the offsets and apply it to every sheet. This is a very time consuming process and was wondering if there is a better way to make this work and still keep the scales. I was also wondering if there was a way to move and align the layout on the fly in the paperspace.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI work on Mac and would like to print a design over multiple pages. The recurring problem however is that the printed sheets have a thin unprinted, blank border. I've tried various options in the print dialogue box, including all the borderless page setup options. This 2mm border keeps appearing in my prints. This is for silkscreening, so even though its only a 2mm border, this gap prevents me from putting all the printed sheets together as one design. The design, via the print dialogue box, is being saved as a PostScript file due to doing colour separations.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have one layout. On that layout I want to have 2 viewports. I also have ssay block A and block B I want to insert.I would like Viewport1 to display block A and viewport 2 to display block B.
What happens to me is when I created Viewport 1 and inserted block A. I go on to create viewport 2. But viewport 2 displays only block A, which I cannon delete to insert block B.
How can I print multiple layouts to PDF at one time?

On the window platform in another software program the multiple pages and/or poster options appear in the print window. But not in Photoshop on my mac. I have made sure to download the newest drivers etc.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWe have, since moving to 2012 had an issue with our standard Named Page Setups in our DWT file staying assigned to the layout tabs. When you click up to plot a dwg... the Page Setup Name indicating that the Named Page Setup assigned to the plot configuration dialog box says <None>. Even if you click in the drop down and select a setup... the name selected shows as selected after the box colapses... but then a split second later, the box defaults back to <None>.

For example: One project contains 100 A3 drawing, one layout contains 20 A3 drawing. Up to now, i print to pdf separately, and i combined the 100 pdf in one file.
And i print from this file. (only in this way succeed to print collating multiple copies). But if the project changes, I could start all over again. Is there a solution to publish an combining the sheets to print immediately?
Is is possible to "que" a bunch of drawings to be plotted? I would like to be able to open a drawing and plot it, then while it's plotting, open another drawing and plot it, then another and so on and so on. However, I get an error message stating that another plot is in process and only one plot or publish process can be active at one time. Thus, I'm forced to wait for the last one to complete before sending the next one to the plotter.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a template with layouts of different sizes that had been working fine with a previous Xerox 6204. My D size and E size automatically oriented with the 36" side parallel to the roll feed. I have since moved to a job that got a Designjet T2300. On this machine the D size orients the 24" side parallel. This wastes 1' of paper on the left and uses 1' extra as it runs the 36" side perpendicular. I have been unable to rectify the problem. I have tried printing in portrait, that actually cut off some of the image. I have tried all types of rotation within the driver and layouts. Tech support had me going into the machine settings and set rotation to 90. Nothing. There is a warning that "HP utilities" is not installed. Could this be a remedy? When the tech came to set up the printer he installed the necessary drivers but mad no mention of this utility.

When printing in 3d with the vp set to 3dhidden and the shade plot set to hidden legacy some solid items print with the wire frame. This usualy happens with torus and cones. How do I stop this?

I am having trouble printing to an HP Designjet T770 from AutoCad LT 2012, on a Windows 7 computer.
I am using the HPGL/2 driver. I can print a test page, and I can print from other programs.
When I try to print, it looks like it is sending it normally, but the printer just ignores it.
I am able to print to this printer from AutoCad 2010 on a Vista computer.
