3ds Max :: Vray Distributed Rendering Could Not Connect To Host

I have been trying to set up another computer to render in vray by distributing render. I have followed various online tutorials showing exactly how to set it up but to no avail. When i render it says "could not connect to host 192.168.... no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". I have 64 bit running on my main pc with 32bit on my slave, vray 2.0 and 3ds max design 2012 on both machines,both pc's can see each other, on the same workgroup and backburner works. I have vray set up properly and vray spawner started although no icon appears in the taskbar as some say it should.
what is the rules to make ((distributed bucket rendering)) works ?I tried to render on my PC only, and tried on my PC and another one, it takes the same time?
I'm trying to export photos to Flickr using the Flickr publish service. When I try to log in to Flickr in order to authenticate my account, I get the error message "Could not contact the Flickr web service. Please check your Internet connection." Similarly, I have tried to use Jeff Friedl's "Export to Flickr" plugin. When I try to enable this plugin, Lightroom can't contact Flickr - I get the error message "cannotconnectToHost", and Lightroom just keeps retrying to connect with no success.
I have Internet access, and can log into Flickr without any problems using my browser.
I don't know what is happening, everything is ok except the floor has this "pink noise" parts, I only have one vray light outside the window and several (less powerful lights) above the board.
V Ray rendering i am using V Ray physical cam + V Ray sun once i rendering flooring colour is changing the walls colour actually i have white colour walls.
i have been a long user of romcat... but would like to use the new corel connect. i use the folders selected to my HD folder that has all my cdr files (20yrs worth from ver 1). when i type in a search word that is in 100's of my cdr files keywords... connect doesnt display them. In romcat it does display them, even older files, with the same key word. connect only shows cdr files that have in its file name part of the search word, but seems to ignore the key words in the files.
I have all my job files with important key words within them, but the actual file names are simple job numbered names. i noticed on searches from X5 content on dvd, the files also are just numbers, but the search finds key words.
Is there a way to link together several computers to process large documents more quickly? I have seen programs like Qmaster and Compressor for Final Cut users–is there anything like that for processing in Photoshop?
I'm getting around to installing 2013 Max Design on my network of 5 computers.They are all Windows 7 64-bit, and all except one are working fine with Distributed Bucket Rendering.
The one that doesn't work has 2013 installed, and the Windows firewall shows unblocking for

The problem computer shows up in the network from the host computer and can be pinged.
It's also not that I'm using too many processors, because I'm checking each one individually.
I am using beam/column calculator in the frame generator in inventor 2010 suite.I have a beam being used for a flight of stairs it is positioned 40 deg above the 'floor' or my xy plane in my assembly.I want to place a distributed load acting as if there were several people stading on the stairs at one time so in the direction of the z axis of my assembly. The problem I am having is I try to change the angle of the distributed load but it only allows me to change the x and y components of the load.
a) change the angle of the laod in the Z directions
or
b) change the cordinates in beam itself so the x axis is along the length of the beam instead of the z axis.
I have tried adding a UCS to the beam part but it still wants to choose the length of the beam as the z axis.
i downloaded a 3ds max file from the internet and i would like to copy an object inside it to my own drawing. my drawing is using mental ray renderer while the object from the downloaded file is using vray materials. is there any way to convert or else to render the object so i can render it in mental ray?
The new Enhanced Menus feature is ace and a welcome thing BUT can you add Vray lights and cameras to it? Its oh-so-close to replacing the normal command panel and toolbar. Add Vray
ANNOYED BECAUSE ALL MY OLD AREA SETTINGS, SIGNATURE, FORUM POSTS etc ARE ALL *GONE*. AND NOW I HAVE DUMB LONG USERNAME INSTEAD OF MY OLD ONE.
how to switch materials with VRay. I find it odd that there is absolutely nothing. I need to have a texture map on a plane and then have it dissolve into another one. Is there a way to do this? I tried a VRayBlend material and that doesn't seem to allow me to have one or the other.
3ds Max Design (3D Studio thru Max 2014), ASUS P9X79 Motherboard, Intel i7-3960x, Hydro H80 CPU Chiller, 32GB DDR3 Ram, Quadro 4000 Display Adapter
I am a Maya user recently switched to 3DS so i dont have a grasp on the meat and bones of max yet with regards to deleting nodes from the scene etc and this may or may not be a simple fix. I have an animation where i have a 3d model from turbosquid which seems to have brought in VRay materials. Every time i open the file now i get prompted " Missing Dlls" then "FileName vrender90.dlr". This is not any major inconvenience, however it crashes a backburner render whenever i try it, which is.
How to totally rid my scene of Vray materials if at all possible? I have tried finding them in the material editor etc but i cant seem to get rid of them. I seen some tutorials on how to do this in earlier versions but it either didnt work or was different in 2013.
When I apply an Vray material to my linked Revit file the material appears extremely large and I cant fix it either by playing around with the scaling of the material or UVW-mapping. I have made sure that both my Revit model and 3DS max are both set to mm.
The scale of the material applied in Revit has the right proportions etc. Its just when I apply a new Vray material it goes wrong.
I recently converted from Sketchup 8 to 3DS and I've been trying to render some scenes with Vray but they all come out super grainy, like the rendering has a layer of noise on top of it. I have a lot of experience with Vray for Sketchhup and have never encountered this. I attached an example.

Im using Autocad 2012 Full and the renders are pretty good, but Im looking for more realism and without going on to MAX. I've been looking on the Chaos site for Vray and sketchup rendering. The finished out-come seems to be stunning so My thoughts were model in CAD, export to Sketchup and render in the vray plugin in sketchup. Is this possible?

I usually attach an xref to my drawing as a workflow, but I neverreally understand why its so difficult to locate it after importing. The xref almost always comes far away from theinsertion point. I tried to open thexref and set new ucs at the corner of the geometry but its all the same.
How can I coordinate xref ucs to my host drawing ucs?
I am creating a fireplace family in Revit Architecture 2012 with wall host (Speciality equipment with Wall host). I selected the template created the family, but in mean time i can't understand the wall is having delete option.(i.e it is released from host). I am surprised to see that in the family type, the wall host is missing.
I've made a few roof hosted families, and they've all been fine in the past. For some reason, with this one, when you load it into a project it appears to be one 'ref level' too high for the roof host, hence revit errors, displaying that it can't cut the roof void.
I assume this is something really simple I should (or not!) have done with the family when I started it, can it be saved?
I have a max file that have objects with vray materials. I do not have vray in my computer because I use mental ray to render. Problem is, 3Ds Max seems to lag and freeze. So when i installed a trial version of VRay, the file worked just fine and there is no viewport lag. But when the trial is over, my viewports started lagging again. The whole PC lags and it seems as if 3ds max is using the pc at 100%. I practically can't work on the file. I don't want to have to purchase vray only for the purpose ot making the file work.
Is this an issue to be fixed by Autodesk or Chaos Group?
As the wall wraps do not work on the soffit (only on reveals), I have used a sweep to match the wall plaster thickness to provide a finish.
Is it possible to report the host wall finish material and have it assigned to this sweep automatically ? I have tried to add a finish layer to the host wall in the family - but have not been able to find a way of extracting the material value for this layer.
For the moment I have left it as an Instance property for manual correction - but automated would be great.
