what is the rules to make ((distributed bucket rendering)) works ?I tried to render on my PC only, and tried on my PC and another one, it takes the same time?
I have been trying to set up another computer to render in vray by distributing render. I have followed various online tutorials showing exactly how to set it up but to no avail. When i render it says "could not connect to host 192.168.... no connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". I have 64 bit running on my main pc with 32bit on my slave, vray 2.0 and 3ds max design 2012 on both machines, both pc's can see each other, on the same workgroup and backburner works. I have vray set up properly and vray spawner started although no icon appears in the taskbar as some say it should.
The Substance Maps are not rendering with the NVIDIA Mental Ray renderer in MAX 2013.
The maps display nicely in the view port and render with the Default Scanline renderer and the Quicksilver renderer. It also doesn't render with the NVIDIA iray renderer. The same Substance material setup renders fine with the Mental Ray renderer in MAX 2012. What's UP!!
I am currently rendering 3D models' height maps using a gradient ramp with an UVW map. The models can be trees, characters etc, it's not terrain.
I would really like to know how to use all 16,777,216 colors so that my height maps have that many different values.
So far I only managed to used the gradient ramp and gain a total of 766 different height values. I use 4 colors in the gradient, here is how:
- First gradient ramp color is full black, and placed at position 0 - Second one is at position 33 and is RGB(0, 0, 255) - Third one is at position 67 and is RGB(0, 255, 255) - Fourth one is full white at position 100
This totals 766 different height values retrieved using R+G+B (0 to 255+255+255). What should I do to use the full 16 millions colors?
With my current gradient ramp I cannot use the whole RGB value (i.e. a 24 bits integer, 0 - 16,777,215). I have to separate channels into 8 bits integers (0-255), because with 24 bits a higher value is not necessarily representing a higher height. That's due to the way my gradient is made, and I couldn't find better than what I use.
I would like to know if I can import my AutoCAD 3d file into 3DS MAX, with the lighting maps and material maps intact. This is because I am doing my thesis on AutoCAD 2011 but I would like to use 3DS Max to do a walk through video.
Is there a way to link together several computers to process large documents more quickly? I have seen programs like Qmaster and Compressor for Final Cut users–is there anything like that for processing in Photoshop?
I'm getting around to installing 2013 Max Design on my network of 5 computers. They are all Windows 7 64-bit, and all except one are working fine with Distributed Bucket Rendering.
The one that doesn't work has 2013 installed, and the Windows firewall shows unblocking for
Autodesk Max Design 2013 64-bit Mental Ray satellite for Autodesk Max Design 2013 64-bit Mental Ray satellite server for Autodesk Max Design 2013 64-bit
The problem computer shows up in the network from the host computer and can be pinged.
It's also not that I'm using too many processors, because I'm checking each one individually.
I am using beam/column calculator in the frame generator in inventor 2010 suite.I have a beam being used for a flight of stairs it is positioned 40 deg above the 'floor' or my xy plane in my assembly.I want to place a distributed load acting as if there were several people stading on the stairs at one time so in the direction of the z axis of my assembly. The problem I am having is I try to change the angle of the distributed load but it only allows me to change the x and y components of the load.
a) change the angle of the laod in the Z directions
or
b) change the cordinates in beam itself so the x axis is along the length of the beam instead of the z axis.
I have tried adding a UCS to the beam part but it still wants to choose the length of the beam as the z axis.
why i cannot change the color of the background when rendering? It is always black, and i cannot attached or make new material, if need to attach jpeg or new texture on my drawing, cannot create new material. what should i do? im currently using autocad for mac 2012.
I made an outline of an image with the line tool and I read online that it only creates vectors or something. The solutions online told me to rasterize or flatten my layers. So I rasterized them but the paint bucket fills the whole screen with no regards to the lines I made.
Bottom Line: I made an outline using Line Tool, rasterized all my layers, used the paint bucket but the paint bucket covers the entire screen. I'm 100% sure there aren't any "holes" between the line segments btw.
I finally found the paint bucket tool - but when I try to use it, I get the circle w/ the cross in it (like the ghostbusters background )....it didn't work with .tif or .psd files, but it DID work w/ a .jpg file!
I have a problem while trying to fill a channel that i load from a layer. When i click bucket tool, the colors i choose are only shown in grayscale. For instance, If i select dark red, the color is shown as dark gray. Would somone know how to fix this please? I might''ve accidentally pressed a shortcut key and i didn't realise.. Here's a small screenshot:
paint bucket. After drawing with pen, i use paint bucket to fill this object, but all layer be filled with the color, that i used to fill this object. I can't fill what i've drawed (but in Corel i can do that). Besides, sometime I can't fill any object because of uneditable error,
when i try to fill in an object area that i have created with the pen or the rectangle tool etc the paint bucket fills in the entire screen (no i havent left any gaps open), it only seems to work when i fill into marquee tools.
I'm trying to create a bucket to hold water and ice for drinks. I've already created the bucket using line then lathe modifier. I know how to customise the bucket using 'unwrap UVW' to stick the picture to the polygon (bucket). But how do I add water and ice to the bucket? I did think of using the same unwrap method but then it'll look unrealistic when it's rendered as a 3D model.
How do I bucket fill the way Paint does, where it fills every thing of a similar color? (or every thing adjacent, I don't remember.) It keeps filling my entire canvas, instead of the area I want.
I am using the Bloc Theme from YooThemes for my webpage: [URL]....
I'm looking to fill in those 3 colors with three colors that I have designed myself.
I used the eyedropper to pick up colors from other files and tried to fill the shapes. No matter what I've done - even using the pen tool to close in the shape the fill goes all over the whole page.
When I fill in the colors how can I also keep the 3-D effect?
I am working on a project where I am doing hand drawn rotoscope (think waking life). For larger areas I am drawing the outline and then filling the shape with the paint bucket. The problem is that the fill doesn't go all the way to the edge of the outline. The anti-aliasing on the brush seems to be creating it, but I don't want to turn anti-aliasing off. It will be a huge time saver for me to figure this out.
I am used to work with Photoshop. Unfortunately there is a bug in the paint bucket tool of Photoshop CS6. I made all updates up to 13.0.1 (x64).
Description: The paint bucket tool is very tricky to use now. If you want to fill a certain empty area of a picture with a simple color, it often does not do that. My clicks are totally correct, also the position ... but it does not take it. Sometimes I have to zoom in some 100% until my clicks are successful and the desired areas are filled with color.
i recently got back to using my old version of Corel Draw, before i remember being able to draw for example a triangle with the "3 Point Curve Tool" and with the Paint Bucket was able to paint inside.. It was as simple as it sounds, now im trying and the bucket tool doest seem to work and when it does it paints the lines but nothing inside the shape ive drawn with the # Point Curve Tool..
I would like to know how to fill an object on a layer using paintbucket and then isolate the fill onto its own layer. I swear I've done this before, but may have been dreaming. I am using a base drawing and would like to overlay fills and have the ability to control what is seen by turning on and off layers of paintbucket without having to duplicate that base drawing. Did that make sense? I am trying to avoid drawing an excessive amount of shapes.
I was trying to go through the blue metal shpere tutorial and I got stuck. I drew mt circle with the marqee tool and then I tried to fill it with a different color.
The paint bucket did put the other color in but it didn't fill it all the way. It was a solid color in the center of the sphere but it started to fade out the further out you went. I just want it to fill in solid not fade. What is the problem here?
using PS CS. i have selected a circular area with the marquee tool on a transparent background and i want to fill that area with colour, using the paintbucket tool i attempt to fill area but what happens when i do this is it acts like a spray can does, dark colour in the centre fading aways towards the edges also it does not actually fill the selected area it's as if i have not selected it, but i have.
i know this is probably very easy but im somewhat new to photoshop.. basically i am using the paint bucket tool wanting to only fill in the selected area i've created but it's filling the whole page what do i need to do to only fill part of the image i am working on?
I have an image which is a series of icons, on a colored background, and i want to get rid of the background, and have it as just transparent. The only way i can think of doing it, is by cutting each icon out individually,
