When rendering a job the program stops responding. The task manager shows the cpu working hard but the memory is not being used at all. Windows reports failure to recover program and the application exits.
The program works fine until I try to edit the boundary of the topography. As soon as I click "edit boundary", the screen goes black for about an hour, then comes back with about 25% loaded. This cycle repeats until the loading is complete, so it takes me a few hours just to enter edit mode. The file is only 17, 280 KB, and Ive been running 240,000 KB files without an issue whatsoever.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm working in Revit 2012. Everytime I save my file it just sits there and thinks. When CTRL-ALT-DEL revit is not responding so I have to end task. The file is not of abnormal size and has been functioning fine until today. I haven't done or made anything in revit out of the ordinary. When I re-open the file I get a "seek failed" message. I open the backup file just fine, but again, cannot save it without it locking up on me again. I have audited and purged. I have copied and saved a new file under a different name.

I need a COMPLETE file for Navisworks...
When I go to Revit, and try to export to NWC file, it starts the export process... about 40 minutes in (YES, 40 mins, it just loads and loads and loads) I will get an error message that "Revit has stopped responding"
This is now the 3rd time today I have tried this with no success. I also tried loading into Navisworks directly (Nav 2013) but will not read the files properly and bring them in together.
I know Revit 2012 is capable of exporting linked models to a single NWC file... however my computer does't seem to like it. I even just sat and read a book and did not internet serach or running any other programs at the time....
I NEED THIS TO WORK
Exporting each individual Revit model to NWC and recompling them in Navisworks IS NOT AN OPTION.
I need to export this large linked Revit file as ONE nwc file.. I know it CAN be done...
My laptop is fairly newer and has like 8gb of ram, so that shouldn't be the problem, is it?
I have an intel 3570k cpu and an nvidia gtx 670 gpu, and it only uses my gpu for the 3d clview, but when it renders photos, it only uses my cpu, which makes rendering take so much longer.

I have the same problem with some of my 2x4 fixtures where light does show on the floor but the lights themselves don't seem to be on.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRendering at high quality, exterior sun only, 150 DPI and the image is about 9' tall x5' wide. Everything goes great until it hits 26%. Then the bar goes full on 100% but the image is only 26% rendered.
I have a 2gb video card, 4.1Ghz overclocked processor and about 8GB of RAM. Perhaps I havn't allocated enough memory to render an image of this size?

I have just loaded Revit 2014, and then loaded a project file created in Revit 2013. When I try to render a view in the cloud I get an error message that says "The file could not be translated.-1" I have tried this with several projects and get the same error for all.
However if i create a new project in 2014 the render works fine, it only seams to be a problem when I upgrade a project from revit 2012 or 2013.
I am using Revit 2013 and I am rendering in the Cloud and my renderings are not turning out as well as I want them to. I was wondering what the intial settings under the graphics should be? like what shadows I should use? how high the exposure should be? Even when I turn the sun completely off the sun still shows through the windows. My renderings are also showing up grainy.

I have opened up projects from previous releases that I was able to get interior scenes to render correctly and they render fine in 2013. I've imported the modified fixtures to the current projects file and they still don't do anything. The scene I'm talking about has a ceiling modeled on the underside of a floor. I've read this may be an issue, but my light fixtures light source is to be 1/4" above the plane of the ceiling. In my case, it's a 5/8" layer of drywall.

I drew out the pattern using the sketch line tool and I chose a joint condition in between the panels. The joint lines of the panels show up in my 3d model but when I render it the joints lines don't render. How can make my panel joint lines show up in my render?

I rendered a few cameras and they turned out ok, but all of a sudden the rendered images turned out blue and yellow. I didn't make any changes in the materials or lighting, but they still turn out the same. I even tried rendering in another computer but nothing changed. I attached the image.

Recently we bought numbers of Revit Suite 2013 and expects the best performances from it. but, regretably speaking the rendering time is worst than before upgrading.In addition to that, we also upgraded our Workstation to 16 GB RAM and a QUADRO graphic engine, but it still take more than an hour to render one simple view.what could be the cause? i hope it is not the software that we bought( cost us thousands... ) here i post the rendering screen and the task performance while we are rendering,ASAP reply needed as all our REVIT workstations moving away from our deep expectation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to render my linked files in Cloud. For some reasons the linked files walls are misplaced in the drawing. Please take a look at the attached file.
What I have tried to do to resolve the problem and have not worked:
1.Reloded the links.
2.Created new camera views.
3.Tried to use RVT Link Display Settings and rendered with both 'by host view' and by 'linked view'
4.In proprties; tried to use the different Dicipline Settings.
5.Tried to use the different settings in Manage Links to either attachment/overlay under Reference Type or absolute/relative under Path Type.
I'm using Revit 2014.
I started rendering using 360 cloud a few weeks ago. I've done lots of renders, all working fine until a few days ago.Now when i submit a render to the cloud in Revit 2014, it takes forever to process and then says either"could not complete your request, failed to authenticate" or something similar but with "could not upload file" as well.
I have tried logging out and clearing my browser cache etc but it still wont work.
I am having problems with my rendering, yesterday everything was working fine but today every time i set rendering quality higher than draft, Revit either fails to render (rendering area goes black) or the pc crashes and i get bluescreen.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm attempting to render a series of images in the cloud and my plan is to take these images into Photoshop so that I can apply a background from an image I possess.
To do this I need the background to be a plain white background, export as a TIFF or PNG, then add an alpha channel in Photoshop. The problem is that whatever settings I apply in Revit, the cloud rendering always gives me the standard grey / blue horizon background. I have changed the render settings using the render setup, through the view properties, through the graphic display, still no joy....
What Revit 2012 setting makes walls and floors disappear when rendering is selected?
I have a Revit 8.1 project that renderes the model just fine. When I import it into Revit 2010 it also remders the model but I have to reassign the custom finishes. But when I upgrade it to 2012 and render - the walls and floors are suddenly missing!

why i cannot change the color of the background when rendering? It is always black, and i cannot attached or make new material, if need to attach jpeg or new texture on my drawing, cannot create new material. what should i do? im currently using autocad for mac 2012.

CS6 will start to the first window and then locks (Not Responding). I have uninstalled and reinstalled CS6 and delete the preferences, all to no avail.

I have started saving files back and forth between cs3( at school) and cs2 (at home) for a school project. All the sudden, as I was painting a background to place in my project (magic wand>move tool) my cursor becomes an hourglass, all panels become blank, and at the top is says Photoshop (Not responding). This has happened 4 times now and I have lost my work each time.
