Revit :: Linked Walls Misplaced In Cloud Rendering
May 30, 2013
I have been trying to render my linked files in Cloud. For some reasons the linked files walls are misplaced in the drawing. Please take a look at the attached file.
What I have tried to do to resolve the problem and have not worked:
1.Reloded the links.
2.Created new camera views.
3.Tried to use RVT Link Display Settings and rendered with both 'by host view' and by 'linked view'
4.In proprties; tried to use the different Dicipline Settings.
5.Tried to use the different settings in Manage Links to either attachment/overlay under Reference Type or absolute/relative under Path Type.
None of my custom materials are rendering on the cloud. If I render it on REVIT, they come out just fine. Is there something that I need to do to get my materials to show up?
I have just loaded Revit 2014, and then loaded a project file created in Revit 2013. When I try to render a view in the cloud I get an error message that says "The file could not be translated.-1" I have tried this with several projects and get the same error for all.
However if i create a new project in 2014 the render works fine, it only seams to be a problem when I upgrade a project from revit 2012 or 2013.
I am using Revit 2013 and I am rendering in the Cloud and my renderings are not turning out as well as I want them to. I was wondering what the intial settings under the graphics should be? like what shadows I should use? how high the exposure should be? Even when I turn the sun completely off the sun still shows through the windows. My renderings are also showing up grainy.
A colleague of mine has rendered a panoramic image at Autodesk 360, but when he downloads the panorama, it is just a series of still images. Any program that will stitch these images back together so the panorama functionality can be maintained locally?
What Revit 2012 setting makes walls and floors disappear when rendering is selected?
I have a Revit 8.1 project that renderes the model just fine. When I import it into Revit 2010 it also remders the model but I have to reassign the custom finishes. But when I upgrade it to 2012 and render - the walls and floors are suddenly missing!
I started rendering using 360 cloud a few weeks ago. I've done lots of renders, all working fine until a few days ago.Now when i submit a render to the cloud in Revit 2014, it takes forever to process and then says either"could not complete your request, failed to authenticate" or something similar but with "could not upload file" as well.
I have tried logging out and clearing my browser cache etc but it still wont work.
I'm attempting to render a series of images in the cloud and my plan is to take these images into Photoshop so that I can apply a background from an image I possess.
To do this I need the background to be a plain white background, export as a TIFF or PNG, then add an alpha channel in Photoshop. The problem is that whatever settings I apply in Revit, the cloud rendering always gives me the standard grey / blue horizon background. I have changed the render settings using the render setup, through the view properties, through the graphic display, still no joy....
I want to turn my in-place mass walls (sloped or helical) to structural walls but i don't know how to do it. I'm able to do the walls but when i switch it to the analytical view the wall doesn't appear because it's not structural. It's there a way to do in-place mass structural walls.
V Ray rendering i am using V Ray physical cam + V Ray sun once i rendering flooring colour is changing the walls colour actually i have white colour walls.
I think I'm pretty close to understanding how to get realistic interior lighting with nice soft shadows etc. However, I can't figure out how to get the sun & sky background to stop putting all these spots on my walls!
I previously made a version using 1000 "rays" for "Final Gather" and it looks a bit better....but it's still spotty.
How to get genuine soft shadows sans spots from the sun & sky background?
I've played with every parameter I can think of, but nothing smooths out the spots even a little bit.
AutoCAD MEP 2010 64 bit Revit Architecture 2010 Windows 7
I am using a dual Xeon machine with 32 GB Ram and a Nvidia Quadro 4000.
I have a 100 point RCP (point cloud) file loaded into my scene. I have successfully set up a camera and a target path (spline) for it to follow through the scene, but when I go to render the production it takes FOREVER to process. For example, it took it 1 hour to process 2 of 700 frames. That's way too long.
I am trying to save $5000 by using Max instead of buying Pointools (which I have used and it does render these cloud animations much faster). I am just not too sure about the gazillion settings, what thye mean, and if they are applicable to point cloud production rendering.
How do I move a 360 Panorama Image over to 360 so I can share the panorama? When I download the panorama it downloads as an image strip not a panorama and on the 360 Rendering page I cannot find a way to share the image.
I'm at my wits end trying to cut a wall with a void. I want to chamfer the corners of a wall, but I can't get even a basic void to cut from a wall. I get the error : "This Mass has no solid geometry for its Void Forms to cut. They must be deleted, or solid geometry added and cut." They clearly intersect, what am I doing wrong?
I am currently doing an MEP project and I am tidying up the model at present. I am having problems attaching the walls to the roofs. There could be a simple solution but I haven't found it yet !
I have tried attaching top base etc. but its not working. I only seem to be able to select one side of the roof when selecting where to attach the walls. I have attached 3d pics showing the walls that are extruding & also one of the walls that I am trying to attach.
I drew some internal walls before adding a floor slab. After adding the floor slab the walls disappeared in plan. I can see them in 3D, in the correct place, but not in plan.
The floor slab is in the right position. To fix the problem I redrew them all, but why did they disappear and how do I prevent it from happening again?
why my existing walls show up fine in my sheet but don't plot to .pdf. I have the view range settings set correctly and all other sheets plot fine.
I thought maybe the roof transparency was the issue but Revit is usually pretty much a WYSIWYG plotting operation and the walls are displaying in the sheet file. Haven't tried plotting to a plotter but it doesn't matter. I need to plot .pdf's.
How to bridge the gap at the intersection of two types of wall. I’m wondering which “function” settings are required such that the intersection between two types of all walls (30 cm and 10cm) produce solid line.
Do I have to use the Stack Walls family in order to have my walls line up on top of each other between the levels? My walls are all slightly off in 3D view and look messy..
In my 3D View my walls disappear when I de-select the structural box. Although drawn as regular walls they are store front panels so carry no load other than their own weight. My Visibility Graphics dialog box seems to have limited options for this. Am I missing something? How do I get them to re-appear in my 3D View for rendering without switching them to a structural wall?
