New to Revit. Using 2012. I'm trying to add a double hung window to a wall and get the following error message:
Can't make type "Double Hung with Trim : 36" x 48"

I get the same error message no matter what size I try to use
How to add trim or diagonal sweeps to a curved wall. I have a circle top window in a curved wall and I need to add 1x4 trim around it.

Default is flat casing from what I am able to determine.
I want to change to say 3-1/2" beaded casing or Adams casing. How do you do this.
We have a family that errors when certain values are hit. Its realated to Automatic Sketch Dimension reassociating with work planes when two workplans over lap... Anyway, the QA team knows about this.
The problem I have is that I have an IF statement to trigger an generic error message when these two rare conditions are met. I would rather a pop up window explaining what thy can not do. "Position of legs from ends can not equal half total length" and an OK button.
Is there a "say" style command for revit formulas?
I am trying to install Photoshop but it get stuck and the system is hung near at 80%, I waited for more than an hour, tried many times but the same result. My system is a P4. 3Ghz 2GB DDR2 RAM.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter using the program for a few weeks it appeared the error message "An error has occurred while drawing the contents of this window" only when I open the 3D view. I reset the Windows user profile and everything is back to normal operation. Today has come out again this error screen. Video drivers are certified and the board is a Nvidea Quadro and normally I have no problems. To test I created a new user and everything works fine.What could alter the software related to user profile?

I'm unsing Snow Leopard, but I do have "double-click a windows title bar to minimize" disabled in system preferences > appearance. So photoshop overrides those settings? Maybe I'm missing something?
I modified a Window Family file by adding a Window inset parameter. When I inserted the window into a wall, otherwise the window worked fine, but when I changed the window's Window Inset value, the frame depth changed instead of the frame's location. The frame was originally made by Sweep tool, but now when I made it by Extrusion tool, the window works fine. Anyway, for future purposes, I would like to know how to be able to use the Window Inset parameter with a frame made by Sweep tool. How do I lock the depth of the frame sweep?

I am using script to create my drawings. I am facing one problem in trim option. I'll explain the scenario..
i created one profile in one layer and then i freezed it. then i created another layer and creating another sketch and performing trim option, while that time it trims based on the sketch in the freezed layer. I dont know how to solve it... I have attached the script of it..

Part of the design for vinyl siding includes corner trim pieces, it's a standard application. We would like to show that in our models, how to creat a vertical sweep. Is there any way to add a small piece like this in a wall type? It must extend the full height of the wall, and appear only at the corners.
Also, in many of our models, we employ a dutch gable roof style on the front with a wood shingle facade. On the top of the shingles are vertical metal battens spaced evenly from top to bottom. I am wondering/ hoping if there might be a way to add this feature (battens) to a wall type.
How to add the quick elevation edit for feature lines to the double-click actions? I have tried everything under the sun (except for the right thing) to get it to work.If the issue was resolved by this method, please click on "Accept As Solution".

View 1 Replies View RelatedAt my company we have a custom CC library with custom profiles for use in frage generator. We are having a problem with one of the frames. Everything goes well when the profiles is inserted.
But when I try to "trim to frame" the intersections of two profiles, it does not trim them correctly. It trims them in a 45 degree angle. As you can see on the attached jpg file.I tried everything. Checked the sketch, deleted the profile, republished the part.
I've created an angled box and the stroke appears to have two; or something similar. Reduced size to clearly show in image. The orange is the only path I am able to click via direct selection. Look at the grey at the back. I want to remove this but don't know how?

I’m wondering if there is a way to calculate the area of double face of a given wall. For exam, say that we have a wall of 4x4x0.1 meter then the area of one face is 16m2 while the double face is 32m2. Does the Revit calculate the double face of a given wall?

I have drawn a rectangular double curved roof (hyperbolic paraboloid). Did that just by adjusting shape handles up and down in diagonally opposite corners.
I want to draw a grid on it mostly as a graphical thing, so its shape is evident. Have tried model lines which won't attach even when grouped.
Is there a door family out there that contains double opposing doors. These are very common in healthcare settings and I'm not finding a family to make this work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using Photoshop CS6 for awhile now on a very stable iMac i5 with 16GB RAM on Snow Leopard but recently its behaving very badly. I am having problems with very minor tasks like transform, open, save, move, etc. Photoshop gets hung up and the wheel starts spinning. Typically this is a font related problem but I've done every maintenance task known to man and still having issues. I've deleted prefs, cleared out brushes, action, tools, repaired permissions, my fonts are all clean, has nothing to do with time machine or background tasks (that i know of) yet it still runs slow. This is definitely not a slow video card problem, I have an ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 with 16GB of ram and plenty of hard drive space. I've ticked off the "Use Graphics Processor" restarted and the problem persists....
SO, i thought maybe i need to update my OS and get up to speed with the new cat, Mountain Lion. Maybe its just not cooperating with Snowy cats anymore. I completed the upgrade last night and I'm still seeing beachball working on 72 dpi PSD files. I've worked on 3GB layered files in the past with no problems.
When I click on the organizer to view pics the program just keeps running and I am unable to do anything. What can I do to fix the program?
