I need to fade a music track in and out but I'm not able to add keyfrmaes with the pen tool. And the Add Keyframe button next to the audio track in sequence is greyed out.
View 5 RepliesWhen cutting video shots in sync with a music track how can I remove part of a clip and replace with a new shot. I know there is a replace clip facility but there appears to be no way of editing the new clip. What I would like to do is leave blanks in sync with the music and fill in correct length of shot later. The same question for overlaying video shots of an interview and holding sync when returning to interviewee.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt is quite obvious you can change the duration for any individual photo display time on the video track. I also see that you can stretch or compress the music track to fit time of the slides. However, this would distort the audio track to some extent. Is it possible to select some or all of the photos and automatically set an average time so the sequence will equal the play time of the audio (ideally one file, multiples, or complete audio track)? Also, Is there an upper limit on the number of photos that can be in the video track (obviously there would be an upper size limit for a given media that would be used)? What are some of the upper limits reported and have rendering issues resulted at some poin?

Browsing works fine when I'm not in Project.
I just got done installing the Corel Videostudio Pro x6, I am trying to import my own personal music-audio file into the music track, however when I do the system crashes or another way of saying it, a window pops open saying Corel has stop working. This same problem happen with the x5 Pro version. I notice that the pre-loaded audio files in Corel are files of MPEG-1...do I need to convert my MP3s into MPEG-1 in order for this to work?
I have a few converting tools but none of them can convert MP3s into MPEG-1..
Does it make an audible difference if I use the voice over track for music?I do a lot of audio synch and I sometimes put the music track in the voice-over track. This happens because the audio track that I am using comes from a video clip. One video has good quality video and bad quality audio; the other one has poor quality video, but good audio. So I keep the video from one and the audio from the other. After synchronizing the 2 videos, the sound is also synchronized. When I split the audio from the video file, it automatically drops into the voice over track and if I don't move it the the music track, it stays there.When listening to the final result, I don't hear a noticeable difference, but is there one?In other words, is one of these tracks more suitable for music.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm just about ready to buy Corel Studio Pro X5, but one "issue" is bothering me, I cannot fade in and out the overlay track. I can drag the cross-fade onto the image or video, but it doesn't cross-fade with the actual video. Instead, the screen suddenly goes black and the overlay track fades in. Same on the way out, it just fades to black (queue the music ) and then the underlying video pops back in.
I'm using the 30-day trial Video Studio Pro X5.
I just finnished editing a music video.
It has over 8 video tracks and now I want to export it to a EDL format but It looks like everything needs to go on 1 video track.
Ever since I switched to Photoshop Elements 10 and subsequently 11 (both are on my computer), I have been unable to add music media.
I copied ALL of my music CDs to my hard drive and to my iphone etc. They are there and I can play them. I have been unable to add my music. For example this is what happens when I am in Photoshop Elements 10 slideshow:
* ADD MEDIA
* Audio from folder
* iTunes
* iTunes Media
* Music from CDs
* every folder I try returns the message "no items match your search".
I just came over from Sony Vegas Pro 9 (which kicks ***, but has bad native support for DSLR files).
In Vegas you can apply effects to video in three ways:
1. A whole clip in the project media bin (automatically applying such effects to all timeline events using this clip).
2. Individual timeline events.
3. Entire video tracks (automatically applying such effects to every clip on the track).
Is this possible in Premiere CS5? I find it hard to believe that it's not possible since it is such a useful thing to do. For example, what if you have a bunch of footage that you want to look grainy but you don't want to apply the same effect to every timeline event from the clips because it is time consuming and creates many sources of change if you want to tweak the effect settings?
Is there any way to track select backwards, a la FCP7, in Premiere? I've tried all the modifiers but no luck. I'm guessing 'no but feel free to fill out a feature request'..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI watched a video clip and I liked everything from, let's say the :30 mark to the minute mark. So, I import it into Premiere. However, when I put it at the end of the next clip, it shows the time for the whole sequence. Now, I know that I can do the math, but is there a way to show where the 30 second mark (in this example) is by avoiding doing the calculation? It's do-able, but seems a little tedious. Would like to "reset the clock" so to speak when working on individual clips within the timeline.
View 2 Replies View Relatedthe latest Premiere Pro CC update is supposed to improve multi-cam editing of MXF footage, but I'm still having problems with C300 footage. After flattening a multi-cam track (containing a mix of C300 and Canon 5D 3), some of the C300 clips appear with a striped pattern (the represeantation of the clip in the time line), and don't play back any content. The content is still there, but I have to go back into the original multi-cam sequence, find it, cut it out and replace the "empty" clips in the flattened track.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI'm new to CC's Mulicam feature, but well versed in the more limited equivalent in FCP. I was delighted with everything about it, until I began actually cutting multicam footage into my sequence.
Whenever I try and overwrite/insert/drag the multicam material into the sequence, it brings in 18 audio tracks- in spite of the fact that my multicam sequences have only 4 audio and 2 video tracks.
No amount of track deselection on the destination sequence works with this.This is going to be a real problem as I add new material into an existing a rough cut, with a 5 track temp mix. how I can specify only 1 or 2 tracks of audio?
I'm running 7.2.2, on OSX 8.5.

Is there anyway to have my credits roll on the screen from the bottom but have the fade out in the middle of the screen instead of going all the way to the top?
View 20 Replies View RelatedCross dissolve will not fade out clips correctly. It gets down to 10-15% opacity on the last frame and that's the lowest it goes. During playback, you can see how abrupt the fade is.
Ticking the "Composite in Linear Color" sometimes improves it, but it's still not a smooth fade. Why is it that I can manually add opacity keyframes to fix this problem (regardless of "comp"), but cross dissolve cannot do a smooth fade?
The following are screenshots of the last frame before the clip ends. The cross dissolve is 30 frames long.My system is i5, 560GTX, CUDA enabled, PP CC 7.2.1, Windows 8.1.

With a white background, comp enabled is a bit better, but you can still see the content. I'd expect another frame or two before a complete fade. Black background, last frame, Composite not enabled:
Again, I'd expect another frame or two before total darkness. Oddly enough, after adding and deleting opacity keyframes and switching comp on and off, I managed to get a nice smooth fade with comp OFF with the above example. Some kind of bug? I'm making a video with mostly titles. I have found the video transitions to be very choppy, so I've opted to control the opacity fade of each individual title, creating keyframes that move from 0%-100% then back 100%-0%. This simulates a nice fade from black, fade to black effect. However, when i do this all of the text in my titles pixelates.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am exporting dailes clips.We record dual system and there are two different audio levels - on the two different channels.However, when I export a clip from Premiere and set the audio option tol the uncompressed codec it defaults to a "single track" audio layout with no option to change. However, if i change the codec to AAC or any other I am allowed to chose whether I want a single mono track or a stereo track.
Additionally - if that single uncompressed track is an amalgamation of my original two tracks - or if it has just defaulted to one or the other.
In VideoStudio 6, how does one connect the voice track to the video during the editing process?
My specific issue is that I have to go back and edit material sometimes that precedes the voice track I already have laid down, but when the time frame of the material after my new edit I have to go back and drag the voice track to the proper location. I would like to be able to permanently "attach" the voice track to the specific video clip and have it follow that clip as it is moved, time wise, during the editing process.
Is there a means to make this happen?
PS - I realize there is a work around way - just publish each clip and then rebuild the final project but that is NOT what I want to do.
I see that you can split the audio from the video. Can you do the reverse and link the audio back into the video say after you split, cut and mute an off camera scream? It would just make it easier to add clips before the edited one, although it's not all that hard to sync things up.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm curious how many of you use note track in the track view/dope sheet? It is running damn slow here, 15sec to add a note track, 30sec adding a note in dopesheet and 1 mins before I could open up the note editor. I doubt it is being useful at all.
Moreover, the infamous Max MotionClip Manager bugs is caused by that... so do you really use it?
Is there any way to push the video in the video track after the title track is completed ....
