VideoStudio :: Import Own Personal Audio File Into Music Track?

Mar 6, 2013

I just got done installing the Corel Videostudio Pro x6, I am trying to import my own personal music-audio file into the music track, however when I do the system crashes or another way of saying it, a window pops open saying Corel has stop working. This same problem happen with the x5 Pro version. I notice that the pre-loaded audio files in Corel are files of MPEG-1...do I need to convert my MP3s into MPEG-1 in order for this to work?

I have a few converting tools but none of them can convert MP3s into MPEG-1..

VideoStudio :: Equalize Audio On Music Track

Sep 30, 2013

I am using VS4. Is there a way to equalize audio music tracks? I know that there is a "normalize audio " option just prior to burning but that is for videos only. For whatever reason the last two videos I have made have varying audio volumes on different music.

VideoStudio :: Video Track Holding Sync With Music Track

Jan 28, 2012

When cutting video shots in sync with a music track how can I remove part of a clip and replace with a new shot. I know there is a replace clip facility but there appears to be no way of editing the new clip. What I would like to do is leave blanks in sync with the music and fill in correct length of shot later. The same question for overlaying video shots of an interview and holding sync when returning to interviewee.

VideoStudio :: Video Clips And MP3 Music File - Audio Quality?

Sep 15, 2012

When I go to render a video that is composed of video clips and an .mp3 music file, I'd like to get the finished file into as big of a file as I can. In order to do that, I select the MPEG-4 option. The good news is it typically will result in an approx file size of 250MB for a 2 1/2 minute video, versus 170MB for any other file extension. The bad news is the audio is full of pops and noise. The audio remains fine with any other option other than MPEG-4.

I've tried numerous ways to 'reconstruct' the file...using different audio file extensions (it seems to prefer .wma files but there is a noticeable drop in clarity), rendering the video only then adding the audio file and rendering again...nothing works. I've also tried to modify the rendering options in each video selection that Corel offers (this is in the window that pops up asking for the file name just before you render it), but the audio never gets better.

VideoStudio :: Lift Audio Track And Load Into Separate File

May 13, 2013

I have split the audio from the video track and I am now trying to "lift" a copy to put through a sound editor. I then intend to replace the original audio track. (or to put on audio track 2 and mute 1). I haven't as yet found a way to lift the audio track and load into a separate file.

I see that you can split the audio from the video. Can you do the reverse and link the audio back into the video say after you split, cut and mute an off camera scream? It would just make it easier to add clips before the edited one, although it's not all that hard to sync things up.

VideoStudio :: Synchronize Photos To Music Track?

Dec 9, 2011

It is quite obvious you can change the duration for any individual photo display time on the video track. I also see that you can stretch or compress the music track to fit time of the slides. However, this would distort the audio track to some extent. Is it possible to select some or all of the photos and automatically set an average time so the sequence will equal the play time of the audio (ideally one file, multiples, or complete audio track)? Also, Is there an upper limit on the number of photos that can be in the video track (obviously there would be an upper size limit for a given media that would be used)? What are some of the upper limits reported and have rendering issues resulted at some poin?

VideoStudio :: Make Audible Difference If Use Voice Over Track For Music?

Aug 24, 2011

Does it make an audible difference if I use the voice over track for music?I do a lot of audio synch and I sometimes put the music track in the voice-over track. This happens because the audio track that I am using comes from a video clip. One video has good quality video and bad quality audio; the other one has poor quality video, but good audio. So I keep the video from one and the audio from the other. After synchronizing the 2 videos, the sound is also synchronized. When I split the audio from the video file, it automatically drops into the voice over track and if I don't move it the the music track, it stays there. When listening to the final result, I don't hear a noticeable difference, but is there one?In other words, is one of these tracks more suitable for music.

VideoStudio :: Splitting Audio Track

Dec 28, 2012

I decided to make the jump from X3 to X5 ultimate to give Corel a try again, actually the deciding factor for me was the included mercalli stabilization as it seems to be pretty good.

Anyway, I created about a 10 minute movie from a few videos, which is divided into many clips. Now I want to disable the audio from the video track and add a sound track. I found a nice sound track with the included auto music, but I can't figure out a way to mute the entire audio track from the video so I only hear the added music. I can only see how to do it one clip at a time. Is there a way to do all the clips at once?

I guess in hindsight I should have muted the audio from the video before splitting them into clips, but I've been used to using Vegas which allows you to mute the audio from the entire video track and thought I could do it later with X5.

Am I stuck with doing one clip at a time? Or do I have to save the movie then bring it in as one large clip then mute the audio from the video so I can replace it with a music track? the mercalli seems to work pretty good - which version it is they bundle with X5?

VideoStudio :: Reducing Audio Level Globally For Clips Or Music?

Apr 13, 2011

How can I reduce the audio volume for all the clips in the project? The original sound from the video clips is just ambient noise. I want to reduce it all by the same amount throughout the project, so that the music I put on the music track will be easier to hear, with the ambient noise being only a soft background. I can't find any control that lets me change the volume for all clips at once, and the documentation isn't very clear.

VideoStudio :: X3 - Audio Track Be Mixed When It Is 2ch Stereo?

Jun 20, 2011

I am using VSX3 and have a question about whether it is possible to mix/edit the audio track for the MTS files added to the project when the audio is 2ch stereo?

Basically what I want to know is how to remove or lessen voices that are close to the camera's mic, when I am really interested in keeping the audio of the subject I am focused/zoomed in on?

Case in point, my wife was filming my son's pre-k moving up ceremony and we have some priceless video of him singing up on the stage. But a portion of the soundtrack is ruined by her yelling at my mother-in-law that she is holding the point-n-shoot camera upside down and the ensuing conversation. In this case, editing the clip or adding music and fading out the clip audio won't cut it.

VideoStudio :: Connecting Video Track With Overlay And Audio?

I am assembling a project with a few video, overlay and audio clips. Everything is timed the way I want, but I decide to add a few seconds to the beginning. I insert the additional clip and all the video clips move over, but all the other clips (overlay and audio) do not move. It takes a long time to adjust everything and get the timing correct again.

Is there anyway to LOCK the audio and overlay clips to their corresponding video, and have them move together when I insert video in the beginning?

VideoStudio :: Keeping Original Audio And Removing Video Track?

Mar 31, 2012

I want to keep the original audio captured with video footage but remove the actual video and replace it with other video footage taken and still images. I'm guessing that this is possible using the overlay track, but ideally, I would like to just remove the original video so that I can use two new images between the main track and other "images" on the overlay track. I have no need for the original video, just the audio. Is this possible? If not, is there any way to insert audio from video onto either a music or narration track scrap the video portion?

3ds Max Animation :: Import File To Controller Or Track?

Aug 5, 2013

I have a CSV file with lists of positions and rotation angles (over time). I would like to use these to animate objects. The two options I've found thus far are:

- Convert the CSV to the XAF format and import this into the curve editor

- Convert the CSV to WAV and use the AudioFloat controller to assign it to the coordinates

I would think there should be an easier way, preferably one for a controller, but I can't seem to find it. Surely I'm not the first to want to import data; frankly I'm surprised that audio is supported but regular data isn't. The thing is, converting the data to XAF seems to produce an enormous overhead and converting it to WAV is just odd.

What would the appropriate way be? Ideally I'd expect some controller where I can specify a file and some conversion parameters and that'd be it. Does such a thing exist? I'm happy to convert the CSV but I feel like it's probably not necessary - is it?

VideoStudio :: No Audio On DVD Import In V11 Plus?

Feb 9, 2012

I have been using VS11+ for a few years, and have never run across this problem until now. I am trying to import DVDs recorded on a specific machine and am getting video but no audio. There is audio on the DVDs. I have tried importing both as mpg and as avi (in project properties) but neither works. Although I've been using VS, I am self-taught and not very knowledgeable about codecs, recoding, etc. I mainly use VS for importing video from DVDs, editing, rendering and burning onto DVDs. I am not certain of the make/model of the DVD recorder, but I do know it is new. (I did a keyword search for "import DVD no audio" before posting, but it returned over 2,000 results).

VideoStudio :: 6 Connecting Voice Track To Video Track During Editing?

Dec 9, 2013

In VideoStudio 6, how does one connect the voice track to the video during the editing process?

My specific issue is that I have to go back and edit material sometimes that precedes the voice track I already have laid down, but when the time frame of the material after my new edit I have to go back and drag the voice track to the proper location. I would like to be able to permanently "attach" the voice track to the specific video clip and have it follow that clip as it is moved, time wise, during the editing process.

Is there a means to make this happen?

PS - I realize there is a work around way - just publish each clip and then rebuild the final project but that is NOT what I want to do.

Ive tried different file types and frame rates and RAM preview settings and I have no idea where the discrepancy is.
