Premiere Pro :: Sound Track Will Not Open Audition?

Dec 27, 2013

when I right-click on the soundtrack and select 'edit in audition' it does the 'render and replace', but does not open Audition.  Even when I open Audition first, it will not place the sound track in the Audition software.

Premiere Pro :: Export Clips With Uncompressed Sound Only Allows Single Audio Track?

Mar 17, 2014

I am exporting dailes clips. We record dual system and there are two different audio levels - on the two different channels. However, when I export a clip from Premiere and set the audio option tol the uncompressed codec it defaults to a "single track" audio layout with no option to change.  However, if i change the codec to AAC or any other I am allowed to chose whether I want a single mono track or a stereo track.

Additionally - if that single uncompressed track is an amalgamation of my original two tracks - or if it has just defaulted to one or the other.

In Premiere, you have a clip which was edited via "Edit clip in Adobe Audition".Premiere never changes the original clip, it creates a separate audio file which Premiere uses. You later reopen the project in order to restore that clip to the original. There does not appear to be a "restore original audio" menu item for the clip. How do you restore the clip audio to the original?

Premiere Pro :: Export The Audio Separately Via Audition?

Dec 19, 2013

I'm having some audio issues which seem to be a recent developement, possibly since the last update.

some audio files on my timeline have a click at the begining of the file, even when an audio dissolve is applied.

even worse, on export, some audio cuts have an enormous 'Boing' sound, like a delay effect.

the only way I can seem to get around this is to export the audio seperately via Audition.

I'm using premiere Pro CC on a mac pro, with Mountain Lion.

Premiere Pro :: Exporting Merged Audio Tracks To Audition?

Jan 14, 2014

I recently started to work with the Adobe suit so i am not yet used to the workflow. We are serval people working on the post production of a short movie filmed with a red SCARLET in raw which means that the files are pretty big. The audio where captured in serval tracks who all have been merged with the video clips. The clips have thereafter been cut and placed in its right place. So now it is my job to work with the sound design. I have tryd to export the audio in both AAF and OMF and every time i open it up in Audition it sais that the media is offline. On my computer all i have is the orgininal Audio files. Is there anyway to get only the audio (all the tracks) to Audition, without having them searching for the merged files. For example creating new Audio from the cutted tracks?

Premiere Pro :: Deafening Screeching When Round Tripping Files To Audition?

Jan 20, 2014

This happens every time i send a file (dynamic link) to Audition and back. It screeches for about a second, and it's absolutely above threashold hearing. It does this everytime I round trip a file.

How many lousy noise issues is adobe going to have? I had studio headphones on this morning and the noise was well above threashold. I've never had an issue like this in ANY other software in my 12 years as an editor. Can't there be some safety feature to protect users hearing? I hear nothing but ringing right now, and I certainly am done editing for the day.

VideoStudio :: Renaming A Sound Track?

Aug 20, 2013

I have been recording some narration in little chunks (for easier editing if needed), but they are called uvs130819-011.WAV. I understand about the date, but I would rather have them named by the first few words of the "paragraph" read, or something else that would make more sense to me.

Is there a way to change the name of the sound clips ?

VideoStudio :: Sound Track Glitches And Gremlins?

Feb 1, 2011

On some clips in my project, when I play them in project mode, the original sound recorded by the camera is gone, and replaced with a weird slow pinging/tapping sound. Weirdly, when I play these same clips in clip mode, they're fine - the original sound is there - it's only in project mode that the problem occurs. Even more weirdly, it's not every clip in my project that's affected - just a few, and in no pattern I can detect. I have not seperated the sound from the clip. And additional sound tracks - such as narration and added music play fine.

I even tried creating a whole new test project, in case I had unknowingly changed some setting in my first project, but same problem - sound is fine in clip mode, missing and replaced with weird pulsing ping in project mode.

The only variable that's changed is that I downloaded the upgrades Corel offered a couple of days ago - the DVD authoring software, and upgrades to VideoPro. Didn't have the problems pre-upgrade. Have them now.

VideoStudio :: Only See WMV - Sound Track Missing In Timeline

Jul 19, 2013

I downloaded the trial version of Video Studio X6 to compare with my current Camtasia 7. I did a screen capture and saved it as a mp4 format. Now that I put it in VS, I can see and hear the recording in the preview, but in the timeline, I only see the video track and wmv. Where is the audio track for that recording?

I found it hidden until I clicked on Graphic > Voice Track.

Any way to remove background noise? I know it is feasible in Camtasia. I assume it is also feasible in VS, but where and how?

VideoStudio :: Overlapping Sound Clips In The Voice Track

Oct 29, 2011

I have noticed that it is possible to overlap sound clips. Just wanting to know does this automatically add fade to the end of the first clips and start of the second clip - my testing could not confirm that. Also is there some documentation on overlapping sound clips as I could not find anything in the handbook.

Also a possible problem I have encountered (I could repeat it too). When I add a video clip to the overlay track at times when I select it (left mouse click) VS Pro X4 appears to FREEZE and I cannot do anything within VS such as select something else. If I then select 'Show Desktop' (from the icon in my quick start bar) and then click anywhere in the desktop and then reselect VS from the bar at the bottom of screen I am returned to VS and it is not in freeze mode again.

Premiere Pro :: Apply A Video Effect To A Track?

Jul 11, 2010

I just came over from Sony Vegas Pro 9 (which kicks ***, but has bad native support for DSLR files).

In Vegas you can apply effects to video in three ways:

1. A whole clip in the project media bin (automatically applying such effects to all timeline events using this clip).

2. Individual timeline events.

3. Entire video tracks (automatically applying such effects to every clip on the track).

Is this possible in Premiere CS5? I find it hard to believe that it's not possible since it is such a useful thing to do. For example, what if you have a bunch of footage that you want to look grainy but you don't want to apply the same effect to every timeline event from the clips because it is time consuming and creates many sources of change if you want to tweak the effect settings?

Premiere Pro :: How To Track Time Within The Clip (not Sequence)

Mar 12, 2014

I watched a video clip and I liked everything from, let's say the :30 mark to the minute mark. So, I import it into Premiere. However, when I put it at the end of the next clip, it shows the time for the whole sequence. Now, I know that I can do the math, but is there a way to show where the 30 second mark (in this example) is by avoiding doing the calculation? It's do-able, but seems a little tedious. Would like to "reset the clock" so to speak when working on individual clips within the timeline.

Premiere Pro :: Some Clips Empty After Flattening Multi-cam Track

Feb 27, 2014

the latest Premiere Pro CC update is supposed to improve multi-cam editing of MXF footage, but I'm still having problems with C300 footage. After flattening a multi-cam track (containing a mix of C300 and Canon 5D 3), some of the C300 clips appear with a striped pattern (the represeantation of the clip in the time line), and don't play back any content. The content is still there, but I have to go back into the original multi-cam sequence, find it, cut it out and replace the "empty" clips in the flattened track.

Premiere Pro :: No Track Selection When Editing Multicam Into Sequence?

Apr 17, 2014

I'm new to CC's Mulicam feature, but well versed in the more limited equivalent in FCP. I was delighted with everything about it, until I began actually cutting multicam footage into my sequence.

Whenever I try and overwrite/insert/drag the multicam material into the sequence, it brings in 18 audio tracks- in spite of the fact that my multicam sequences have only 4 audio and 2 video tracks.

No amount of track deselection on the destination sequence works with this. This is going to be a real problem as I add new material into an existing a rough cut, with a 5 track temp mix. how I can specify only 1 or 2 tracks of audio?

I'm running 7.2.2, on OSX 8.5.

PS, Also unable to insert images into this post. Using Chrome Version 34.0.1847.116

Premiere Pro :: Imported Video Files Without Sound?

Feb 19, 2014

if I export a sequence from the timeline and have it imported into the project it only imports the film but without any sound. With some codec I can play the clip as it should be in the windows 7 ultimate explorer but I sometimes also get automatically a HD-file and the sound files as way as a separate thing. I never had that before. In fact what I want to do is to create a sequence from my timeline and have that as a separate HD-file to use whereever in the project. Especially if the sound is not the original one but added by myself. I have done that before and I would just get my HD-file and could play it in the preview WITH sound. Now all I get is the picture but .... like I said: without sound. That is not normal. So is that a rather useless update or a failure in the program?

And how can I copy a sequence from a timeline and place it anywhere else on the timeline. Used to be so easy in a previous premiere version. Now copy and paste does not work at all anymore. And whenever I want to add a clip onto a layer, I have to shut all used layers, because otherwise the sound goes anywhere but where it should and might just place itself within another sound-layer.Used to be all much better and simpler in previous editions.
