when I click/select on a line a box appears with line info, I know that these pop up when you click on a line twice however something is making it so that it appears after 1 click only. This is annoying me as it blocks other lines i need to work on. How do I get it to stop?
View 2 RepliesI am using PSE10 and I have just upgraded from lion to mountain lion 10.8.2. Previously when I clicked "write keyword tag and properties info to photo" it seemed to just do that. Since the upgrade to mountain lion when I click 'write keyword tag and properties info to photo" it also changes the date the photo was created to the date the info was written to the photo .
How I can get it to write the keyword info *without* changing the date the photo was created?
I have to ask one quetion that in my cad file there is lots of unused fonts & linetype which actual is not in use but still not deeted from that file

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn a view of a wall detail, I added a flashing with a Detail Line which shows only on that view specific detail. The flashing is at the bottom of a wood stud and brick wall in which the brick was added with a repeating detail. Now I want to move slightly the flashing a little lower from where I originally put it, but by doing so the brick also moves and I do not want the brick to move.
I assume something is locked or joined there. My question; How to detach the flashing from the brick so only the flashing line moves?
I am having several problems with my xrefs. My two big problems are xrefs bringing in way more information than I want, and they are duplicating if they are selected, even when I have the xref layers locked.
My set up is this:
I have a plan file, a grid line file, an elevation file, and a section file.
I want all files to be referenced to each other. However, I do not want duplicates of any xref. For instance, in my section drawing, I will reference my plan file which consequently brings in any file that is referenced in the plan file. I know that I will get the circular reference warning and that I can click continue. However, is there any way I can just get "1 degree of nesting"?
Second, I cannot figure out how to lock my xrefs to prevent them from constantly being selected. My problem is that in my live drawing information, if I select everything within my window and an xref is in that window, it will be copied. I don't ever want to duplicate my xrefs, but I can't find a way to lock them (even when locking xref layers).
I have a large line of text (110 characters) with no spaces in it that I'm trying to fill into a 4"x6" area, with the text wrapping / font size scaling as needed.
The problem is that Corel is breaking up the text at a hyphen leaving a lot of empty white space at the end of the line after the hyphen.
If I remove this one particular hyphen (there are many), then no problem. I've already checked for hidden (newline) characters.
The "Use Hyphenation" option is unchecked and there is no formatting going on other than the size of the text box itself.
Can a Lightroom adjustment brush draw a straight line by clicking the start and stop points?
View 8 Replies View RelatedOn pasting items from one dwg. to another and the ucs being the same orientation in both dwgs. the ucs in the receiving dwg. wonders around to various orientations when trying to pick the target pasting point. Objects are 3D, working in that environment. Had no trouble pasting one object into the dwg. as per normal but trying to repeat the process at a different location in the same dwg. the grief started. Ending up climbing walls!! Have been working this procedure for a couple of months and only now this problem has arisen.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently started an internship with a company who makes radiators for power transformers. The first task they have given me is to clean up their plant layout file. The file currently has 125 layers in it due to machine blocks dragging in unwanted layers whenever they bought new machines. (presses, rolling machines, powdercoating, welding, ect...) I have been having trouble getting rid of and simplifying their floor plan. I tried creating blocks for each group of machines and changing the layer of the block to the desired layer. This seems to change the block to the right layer, but it still references to the other layers it was previously in. I want to keep the separate colors that show different parts of the machines, but I still need to eliminate the unwanted layers. Is there any way to consolidate the layers while keeping the different colors within the blocks I tried to create?. They have me working on Autocad 2006.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have imported a dxf file from our Trimble handheld unit. The dxf has layers built into it that come straight from the trimble software. (ei, FENCE, TANK, WELL HEAD, FIELDLINE) I have custom built layers and linetypes for my .dwt file in Cad so I dont need the layers that followed the dxf file.
For some reason I am unable to delete those layers, I get a warning box saying:
The following layers cannot be deleted:
. layers 0 and Defpoints
. The current Layer.
. Layers containing objects.
. Xref-dependant layers
I am not on the current layer, I am pretty positive there is no objects on the layers I want to delete ( i have deleted my gps points and blocks that were imported)
I am not using any xref dwg's
Im now using Autocad 2013 and when I click in the open area of the drawing the xclip windows from the many xclipped block in the darwing all highlight at once. See example attached It is very distracting. Is there a way to turn that feature off?

In the idw of my assembly hidden detail is turned off although there is still sub assemblies shown through the main container. Also when there is a section these sub assemblies are show with dotted lines an overlap components they are behind.
My questions are
1. Why are they showing through components they are behind.
2. Why are the lines dashed

I have a portion of my routine below. Basically I need the user to continue to loop through the command. They are picking Circles or blocks in the drawing and I get the insertion point, then insert a new block. However, whenever they try and use a transparent zoom or pan to move around the drawing when the promptentityresult is hit, it zooms back to the original location.

I have a drawing from a surveyor showing contours which have been formed by 2D polylines. I have tried to trim out a portion of the contours, which i don't need, using extrim command but it doesn't trim any of the contour lines. Even with just the trim command i cannot trim them. i have tied exploding but still not managed to trim. How to trim these unwanted contour lines ?

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I open a new template all the correct linetypes are there and the drawing works fine, I can purge and they are deleted if not in use.
When I copy ANYTHING from one of my existing drawings which contains all these odd linetypes then they all appear in the new drawings and they will not purge.
ANYTHING = Text, blocks, lines... etc.
From reading about similar problems I think it has risesn from Binding/Inserting (I cant remember which one I used) of a Xref orignially from Microstation into a drawing I did about 3 months ago. The linetypes have just stuck around.
I produced some objects in Inventor 2013 and exported to DWG to be assembled in AutoCAD 2013. All is fine except when i look at the objects in a 'hidden' view these weird diagonal lines appear over the objects. I am unable to clcik these but when i zoom in they gradually disappear but. If I try to plot the object as shown these lines are printed. This also happens when saving to pdf.

This event occurs on the work version of Inventor 2010. I have an educational version of Inventor 2010 at home and when I tried this same dimension rectangle at home it didn't have this issue. I have a number of parts in my assembly that I make invisible and visible on a regular basis and I find that when I make a part visible, the Work Planes of that part also become visible. It's very annoying and time consuming having to turn off the Work Planes when there's no need for them to be visible.
Is there a way to either make all Work Planes invisible or to permenantly make Work Planes invisible unless you specifically make them visible.
I have a dynamic block which consists of a number of hatches, polylines and texts. The dynamic block has the property of being stretched and flipped.
Now the problem is that the normal grips which are being displayed for the normal lines, polylines and hatches are interfering with the stretch and flip grips. Is there a way to make autocad show only the dynamic grips.

what the best way to show 2 different subassemblies based on the same iAssembly... I would expect a "custom" option as there is from the content center. If I try and change the table for one, the other instance gets updated, and I would like it to stay the same. A few hours ago, I was playing with some sun and lightning settings (I think), and those shadows stopped appearing.
