How can I draw a straight line without that protractor shaped dotted line following my cursor making it lag and also not snap correctly to the next line? Also, I have noticed that I can't set my user interface to auto cad classic settings. There seems to be no option for it in workspace settings.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI decided to draw a long box, 2 pixels wide and fill it with the desired color. That was all fair and well until I tried reducing my image and then the nice looking spider web line that I drew turned into a horrible black and white block line that looks crap.
So, I decided to try and get rid of it, and here I am 45 minutes later still trying to get rid of it. I don't what layer it is on, there are many layers, whenever i find the layer it is and delete it it then turns up in another layer in a different color. I've tried copying and pasting over layers, it just keeps coming back, I don't know what is going on anymore, it wont go away....
How to draw a simple freaking straight line in GIMP by clicking on a point and then clicking on another point?
How do I draw a straight line in GIMP? I'm guessing all those tutorials are aimed at windows users. But I use Debian. Also tried ctrl, alt etc.
I have to wonder what kind of reasoning went into deciding not to have a line tool. It seems so simple to implement compared to all that advanced stuff. The only decent way to make a line currently that I can see is to make a square by filling a selection, shrinking, deleting, then delete all the sides of the square that i don't want. But this is so inefficient to do every time I need a line.
I've been using PSP 7 for many years and over the last year or so I can't seem to get a straight line to show up using the Draw Tool (I think the kids may have messed with a setting).
In the Tool Options I select Single Line, a width of 4, solid line and anti-alias. Create as vector and close path are left unchecked.
The problem is that whether I use my left or right mouse button to drag the line, the line does not show up, it just disappears (I'm using colors different from the background, of course).
I can draw a straight line. Then I'd like to bend the line. How do I do it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to draw a straight line using the line tool, but when I hold down the shift button to draw a straight horizontal line it draws it a an angle. vertical line will go straights, but not the horizontal. I also noticed that the cursor now has an has a horizontal arrow with a vertical line at the end of it in the bottom right corner of the cursor when the line tool or shape tool is used. I went into prefrences and checked the constrain angle but it is set at 0 so I am not sure what to do or what happened. It was working fine and then all of a sudden this happened. Is there a button I may have hit that would cause this? how do I get it to draw straight lines again? I just noticed it wont draw 45 degree angles either. it sticks to angles a few degrees above and below horizontal.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn PSCS5 and earlier, I used to be able to make a straight line of points in a curve by placing 9 points on the straight line curve. I did this by drawing a small straight line at the bottom of the curve using the pencil tool and then clicking the curve point icon.
I can't seem to do this with CS6.
I was drawing a lot of lines with the pointer that stuck at the end of the line and after that it stuck at the beginning of the other line (i hope you understand what i mean). I don't know what i pressed but now this function is not active and is very difficult to draw the lines.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn CS5 and prior versions of PS, you could "make a straight line of points in a curve". After opening the curve dialog box, draw a straight line with the pencil tool and then click the wavy icon above the pencil tool icon (edit points to modify the curve) and it would automatically place 9 equidistant points on the curve. With CS6, it only places 3 points. Any way to get 9(or at least multiple) points placed?
View 9 Replies View Relatedif there is a simple way of pushing multiple Polylines to meet a final line that I draw. For instance if there is a zigzagged line, and I drew a line through the middle of it (in a similar direction).
Is there a command or script that would push all of the points on the zig-zag to meet with the straight line I drew?
I use Photoshop 7 & do a lot of cleanup of bitmap/tiff images, such a logos & symbols that need cleaning up around the edges etc. Holding the shift down while drawing with a brush in eraser, etc. mode creates a straight horizontal line & that makes cleaning a horizontal edge easy & quick.
Is there any keystroke combinations that will draw a perfectly straight vertical line?
Is there a way of reversing the start and end points of a line? I have a lot of mirrored lines on my model, and so the direction (start/end) is also mirrored. This poses a problem when i export the model to another program witch has a coordinate system based on the direction of the entity (in this case a line). So i come back to the question, is it possible to change(reverse) the start/end position to already drawn (mirrored) lines? Btw i am using acad2011
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know that I can find which points are which by checking the properties, but I am wondering if there is a way to (for example) edit the grips so that they indicate which end is which, like how they are used in dynamic blocks to show how an object can stretch. This isn't a problem that requires an imeediate fix, but would be nice if there were such an option.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI need to draw a thin white line across an image, infact several lines in different places. The lines need to be permanent. I want to key in the number of pixels for the the thickness of the line and if possible key in the position of the line. I know I can use a new grid line to position a grid line, but how do I then turn that grid line into a permanent line where I can decide the width and colour? I'm trying to refrain from the long way round of zooming up to 1600% and physically using the rectangular marquee tool then filling the rectangal with colour.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Using the adjustment brush with exposure mode active I get a light red/pink color over the area the brush is used, this is not the mask that shows up when the curser is put over the pin. View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to use the adjustment brush by selecting the brush, the sliders shown for the brush change the complete photograph, which I do not want it to do. When I use the brush it makes changes. But, if I make a slider change that I want for the brush it actually changes the complete photograph. It has worked properly in the past. I was able to make a slider change and it would only make changes to the area the brush selected.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Develop, when preparing to use the Adjustment Brush, first I adjust the size of the brush. I slide my cursor along the Size slider and the displayed adjacent "sample brush" varies in size. Next, I move the cursor into the field of the image. When the cursor crosses over into the image field, the circle indicating brush size changes; it gets larger by roughly 25%. I have been using the adjustment brush now for what seems like 2 or 3 years, but I can't recall it changing size before. Is this normal? 2 screenshots: a) the cursor(sadly not reproduced in the screenshots) hovers at the slider; b) The cursor is moved to the image field, and the Adjustment brush circle has increased in size.
