CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Unable To See Straight Line - Invisible
Feb 10, 2012I have been using the straight line connector for quite a while now. The lines drawn have always been black. However, I now cant see them! While I am drawing the line, I can see it, but as soon as I click the endpoint, it is invisible. It is still there.....but I cant see it.

Apr 6, 2011I'm pretty new and have a simple problem that for some reason I can't figure it out! And that is how to make a series of lines on the image that are all perfectly horizontal or perfectly verticle. This will be part of a chart and the lines will be dividers. So the chart will have basically 21 rectangles with 3 rectangles across and 7 rectangles down.
So, I KNOW how to use the straight line tool to make the vertical and horizontal lines but I don't know how to keep the lines perfectly vertical and horizontal and parallel with each other!

Jun 27, 2012I draw a curved line and would like it to remain as a curved line even after saving the file. However everytime after saving, and opening the file again, the curve breaks into many line segments, which is not what I want! I want the curved line that I draw to remain as a curved line even after saving and opening. How do I do that? I am using autocad2010.
I use the ARC command to draw a couple of lines, they look okay here. But after I saved it, and re-open it again, what previously appeared as curved lines changed in their appearance to polyline segments.

After opening the curve dialog box, draw a straight line with the pencil tool and then click the wavy icon above the pencil tool icon (edit points to modify the curve) and it would automatically place 9 equidistant points on the curve. With CS6, it only places 3 points. Any way to get 9(or at least multiple) points placed?

Jan 4, 2013how to mirror about a line, but the line was outside the object.
I now have a need to mirror about a line but the line is partially inside the object (so after mirroring the object would be overlapped). When I select both objects and try to create the mirror, the "axis" of the reflection is simply the edge of the object, not the line.
When the line was outside, that worked simply because when you selected both objects the line brought the outside of both selected objects to that point so it simply mirrored / reflected at that point (the line). So the line was not truly acting as a point of reflection. Hope that made sense.
I think I'm about to buy Cadtools from Macromonster but I would like to know if Draw has a way of acheiving this. Hey I may find out Cadtools can't reflect when the line is inside the object.

I need to make lines of different thicknesses, with arrowheads. However, when I increase the line width the arrowhead should not be proportional. It need to stay a bit smaller.
Example: if the line is expanded to "Thick 3", I need the arrow keeps equivalent to "Thick 2" - for aesthetic reasons.I can do edit as I show in the bottom of the sample picture.
However, I need to build HUNDREDS of arrows of different sizes.Is there any way (Macro function?) permitting I enlarge/reduce line thickness and allowing me to edit the arrow without changing the line thickness?
Important Note: Is not enough I edit some arrows and save them as a kind of Template, then import them to work. The arrows have different ways in thickness and may be straight, curved, winding, etc.. Hence the need to edit the edges easily.

Dec 27, 2011I have a logo which appears in the footers of all of our technical manuals. Word recognizes it as a picture, and so our printer prints it in color, not black and white, so we are charged for the color copies.
I have exhausted my options in Word, and have been trying to create it as a TrueType font in DRAW, so word just thinks it's a symbol, not a picture.
The only file I have of the logo is a .bmp, so I've been tracing it to get it into vector form to manipulate. However, after all of my welding, combining, front minus back ect. ect. ect., I still can't get it down to the "1 object" requirement to make it a font.

Somehow I can not figure out how to do it: ps textures are useless/complex and other standard off are not "leaky". So far I have dealt with manually, copy lines and trimming.

We have also found that certain edit operations seem to break the link between the objects on one layer and their dimensions on another layer.

Jun 6, 2011I have an object that I need to print . It is a cartoon man and a cartoon flag with text next to it . I have printed the whole thing without a cut and it worked fine .
But now I need to print it with the images cut out. I believe I will be able to put a contour around the font easily however the problem is putting it around the flag with man in front of it . right now it makes contours on the inside of the image. Its hard to explain ..... the flag is supposed to be white with blue and red in it . and when I printed it on a big sheet with no contour it was fine .. but now that I need to do it on its own the contour goes inside the flag because there is no rectangle shape around the flag .(no outline around flag) How do I put the rectangle around the flag as well as put a smooth contour around handyman?
