Corel PHOTO-PAINT X5 :: Cut Out A Perfect Circle?
Feb 3, 2012want to cut out a perfect circle in photopaint. it is a picture with a perfectly circular object so I want to overlay the circle tool and cut out the circle and save the circle on a page with the gray and white square background. I cannot get the circle positioned or sized properly because once the cursor is let go you are stuck with what you have. I typed in "circle" in the help and nothing even comes up for circles.
I can make a perfect circle and position it in draw but that is not useful.

Nov 9, 2012One more thing that is pretty annoying. I'm working in webdesign and have to work with lines to make designs.
1. There is no chance to scale 1px line to be 2px
2. You cant make from 10px height object 1px line.
From 1px line always staying 1px.
From more than 1px you can make only 2px line not 1px.
Thing happening from X3 to newest X6.
Small things but making my work a bit longer.
system configuration:
Win 7 Pro 64bit, Intel i5-2500, 8 GB RAM, 128 SSD SAMSUNG + 2TB on hard drives.

Mar 22, 2011After making a cutout in the cutout-lab/preview/ok, returning to the main workspace area, there remain, unlike in the instruction DVD, 2 blue dotted lines around the object: one from the rectangular box and one showing the cutout outline. As a result I can't make a clip mask from the object transparency box.
Has it to do with settings not mentioned in the dvd? The 'remove mask button' is inactive. I just picked some bitmaps from the internet and tried to make them into one.

Jul 13, 2011When I make a selection in a picture, the selection dotted line shows a coloured border, which is the colour of the second choice in the Materials palette. Especially if I make an addition to the selection, this coloured line runs right through the selected figure. If I copy the selection, undo the selection and then paste as a new layer, the coloured border, especially in added areas, remains visible.
how I can get rid of this strange artifact? I didn't use to have it, it emerged a few days ago.

If I create a third picture and copy and paste an existing picture into it, the quality of the new picture is reduced.

Feb 22, 2013making a GIF with PP. I'm working on a really simple one, I have a background, and I have an object that I want to move into the frame, then back out of the frame. Then loop.
Do I really have to combine the moving object with the back ground EVERY single frame?
Is there a way to say take this object over this many frames and move it from here to there?
Is there a way to save the position of the object in each frame without combining it to the background each time? I'd like to set it, go to the next frame, move it, go to the next frame, move it, repeat.

But it is nearly impossible to draw simple straight lines with Adobe! The Corel program I used to have enabled a straight line to be drawn by clicking on one spot, then holding some button down (don't remember which) and clicking on another spot. Viola!
So my question is: "Is it simple to draw straight lines in Paint Shop Pro? If not, what program do I need to purchase.

Sep 26, 2012I switched from MSPaint over to Paint.NET at the behest of members of my main forum, alternatehistory.com, as they find it much easier to use when editing maps.
One feature that MSPaint has that Paint.NET doesn't that would make it extremely convenient is the ability to use the pencil tool to draw short straight lines in any of the 8 main directions by holding SHIFT when drawing. While it is fairly easy to assign hotkeys on MSPaint and while Paint.NET already has them for pencil/line tools, it is often more convenient to be able to do seamlessly, especially when I'm editing many lines at once (like coasts and whanot).
I checked through the first 20 pages or so in this board and didn't find anything similar.

And that is how to make a series of lines on the image that are all perfectly horizontal or perfectly verticle. This will be part of a chart and the lines will be dividers. So the chart will have basically 21 rectangles with 3 rectangles across and 7 rectangles down.
So, I KNOW how to use the straight line tool to make the vertical and horizontal lines but I don't know how to keep the lines perfectly vertical and horizontal and parallel with each other!

Not just change the color but change the color AND make it keep it's original shading, etc. I have some family photos we had made recently and they used a beige color draping for the background. The ones we had made before had a black draping. I was wondering how I could go about using some sort of additive coloring to transform the varying shades of beige to the same varying shades of black.
I have already used the masking tool to separate the background from the rest of the photo.

And by that I don't mean just correcting the tint, I mean converting a regular photo into one that has a single color tint (e.g., yellow, red, etc.). I've tried graying it out and then adding a transparent color layer over it, but I'm not getting the result I'm looking for.
Also, while I'm at it, are there any (current) books out that cover PhotoPAINT in depth? I know that the official DRAW book has a section on it, but it's pretty basic.

I have downloaded and clicked and dragged the frame to my image, but I would like to reuse this frame. Is it possible to add it to the menu? I can download it to the menu - but it is a temporary item in the list of views to the right, which can be replaced from any of the permanent members of the dropdown selection of frames on the left of the Frame menu. I would like a frame to become one of those "permanent frames."
