AutoCAD 2013 :: Drawings Overrun With Unused Line Types
Nov 7, 2012We've having an office wide problem of drawings getting bogged down with, in some cases, hundreds of linetypes. Not sure where the source of the problem is coming from but as we contiunally use the drawings they keep gaining more and more linetypes, like a snowball rolling down a hill, and the files become so large they are almost unusable. The linetypes don't purge out of the drawing and are not connected to anything. I've tried everything I can think of to clear out the linetypes and the only thing that seems to work is wblocking them. Which when we're talking about hundreds of projects consisting of hundreds of files is a lot of work. We do wblock the drawings in a project on occasion to keep the files usable but they just become infected again eventually.
What might work to clean them up on a batch basis? I've attached a file that's infected so you can take a look. This is a file that has never had anything xref'd into it and was created as a brand new file when originally created. At some point over the last 3 weeks it got infected with the linetype disease.
Photoshop :: Crashes Due To Fonts Removed
Mar 16, 2013Photoshop crashes when Fonts are turned off in Bitstream. What one is it? The fonts are slowing my computer down in Corel. I tried to turn off all my fonts and start over. I have a basic system folder I use to turn on only the ones I need. This speeds up my Corel but then when I went to open Photoshop, the program crashes and won't open. When I went to a restore point, the photoshop programs opens, of course, all 800 fonts are loaded slowing down my Corel again. I took them out again, carefully leaving what I thought to basic fonts the program may be calling for. But I did not get the right one. I have been turning off and turning on back and forth to get it to work. Only when I load the all again, does it work. As soon as I remove them, its back to not working!

Jun 14, 2012I created some new custom line types using express tool featute in autocad and I saved it with a .lin extension. It is only available in that drawing itself. How I canget those line type in all my new drawings.
I tired to edit the default linetype file even it doesnot appear in the linetype manger windo.

May 1, 2009I would like to delete the unwanted fonts like the chinese, arabic...in my photoshop CS3 because I don't use them at all.Can someone guide with this?

Aug 15, 2013I am having an issue with line types. I have about a dozen lines types that are coming up in my drawings, they are not being used by a single layer or object in the entire file, but they cannot be purged from the file, nor deleted by the Linetype Manager. How can I remove these line types from either of the files that they are appear in. They have infected my template files. TO make matter worse I cannot copy ANYTHING from the infected files into a new drawing because these linetypes will be carried into the new drawing. For some dumb reason I cannot attach a .dwg file to this message to provide an example.

Feb 19, 2014I'm working with CS6. My font is 100% black and has 0% Transparency. It is underlayed with a 100% white Matte which has a transperency of 80%. Also the Transparency of the Clip is set to 100% and normal. But as you can see on the Screenshot (watch closely at the the transition from grey to white), the font seems to be transparent. What could be said is a little thin-minded of me lowers actually the legibility in the movie. Because depending on the background the font seems to become slightly brighter or darker.

Jul 21, 2011I am using the DWGPublishToGE tool in AutoCAD Map 3D 2012. I can get the images and blocks to finally show up in a fairly clear manner. I was using earlier versions of AutoCAD before and everything was exporting all choppy.
Now that I have the linework in I was hoping to accomplish two more things:
The line types aren't coming across properly (e.a.: dashed lines are continuous)The text, both within blocks and along the path, only comes in as text. It's not fixed to where it is in the drawing. For example, if I have a block with HH in it the line work comes in normally but the text part of the block does not.
See my two images I have attached. The first is the CAD version and what I am hoping to get to in GE. The second is what is happening in GE.

Sep 25, 2011What type of line are you using to show electrical wiring in a house, I've used the arc line and I really don't like the flexibility of that, it want bend like I want it to. The next thing I'm trying now is to use a leader line without arrows, that works better, you can bend that little rascal all over the place.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Finding Line Types In Blocks
Mar 27, 2012we got cad files from an older survey done for a realtor. Everything was in pretty bad shape, with blocks everywhere. Since then the drawings have been cleaned up significantly. But I am having issues with two line types referencing a .shx file we don't have. The line types will not come out in a purge or manual delete efforts. I tried to do a filter by linetype but it continues to feed back 0 selected. I am wondering if the line types are used in a block definition that isn't drawn anywhere on the screen.
Is there a way to determine what linetypes are used in what blocks? Ultimately once the lines that use the two linetypes are located they will be changed to a different one and purged out of the drawing.

Sep 1, 2013im trying to create line types using the MKLTYPE command , im creating the text and the lines and the text in paperspace and im using annotative text (2mm height fixed) . ie: dashed line 100mm "WA" and another 100mm of dashed line (--------WA---------) , I Need this line in any scale to act the same.
Ive tried many times but the text size is bigger then 2mm and the lines override the text.

Oct 9, 2013when I click/select on a line a box appears with line info, I know that these pop up when you click on a line twice however something is making it so that it appears after 1 click only. This is annoying me as it blocks other lines i need to work on. How do I get it to stop?

May 14, 2012When I import shape files the polylines will not take the layer style I move them to. They stay a continuous linetype. Linetype and Lineweight is set to ByLayer. Only difference between the new lines and the lines drawing correctly is the lines that stay continuous are 3D polylines and the correct ones are normal polylines. What I need to do to make the imported lines accept my layer linetypes?

Revit :: Detail Line Unwanted Attachment
Apr 21, 2013On a view of a wall detail, I added a flashing with a Detail Line which shows only on that view specific detail. The flashing is at the bottom of a wood stud and brick wall in which the brick was added with a repeating detail. Now I want to move slightly the flashing a little lower from where I originally put it, but by doing so the brick also moves and I do not want the brick to move.
I assume something is locked or joined there. My question; How to detach the flashing from the brick so only the flashing line moves?
Lightroom :: Exclude Files Types (extensions) Or Import Only Specific Types?
Oct 29, 2012I am trying to import thousands of pictures into Lightroom as I have a mess of pictures do to a long story...But basically I have probably 30,000 pictures in a bunch of folders that I want to import.
One issue I have found is that I don't want to import TIFF, BMP, GIF, or things like PNG. I really only want jpg files or jpeg files unless I stumble across others in another format I haven't found yet.
Can I set something during the import? I have searched the forums and internet, but haven't found anything that mentions this.
How to clean up a mess like this where I have 30,000 pictures but probably only need 10,000 as there are duplicates upon duplicates due to having to move the pictures around in a hurry as I had a mess in my basement during a storm a couple years ago.
CorelDRAW X4 :: Unwanted Hyphenation - Empty White Space At The End Of Line
Apr 28, 2011I have a large line of text (110 characters) with no spaces in it that I'm trying to fill into a 4"x6" area, with the text wrapping / font size scaling as needed.
The problem is that Corel is breaking up the text at a hyphen leaving a lot of empty white space at the end of the line after the hyphen.
If I remove this one particular hyphen (there are many), then no problem. I've already checked for hidden (newline) characters.
The "Use Hyphenation" option is unchecked and there is no formatting going on other than the size of the text box itself.
