AutoCAD LT :: 2013 - Linetpyes Cannot Be Removed
Aug 15, 2013I am having an issue with line types. I have about a dozen lines types that are coming up in my drawings, they are not being used by a single layer or object in the entire file, but they cannot be purged from the file, nor deleted by the Linetype Manager. How can I remove these line types from either of the files that they are appear in. They have infected my template files. TO make matter worse I cannot copy ANYTHING from the infected files into a new drawing because these linetypes will be carried into the new drawing. For some dumb reason I cannot attach a .dwg file to this message to provide an example.

Mar 7, 2013Since we've migrated to Windows 8 64b we have problems wih plotting some layouts. If I select my plotter it automatically goes to none after selecting and sometimes I get the following error message:
Most of the times I can use the plotter in the other layouts / drawings, but sometimes I have to restart AutoCAD or reboot the computer before the plotter works again. In some layouts we keep getting this problem even after reboot. I've tried reinstalling the plotter (with different drivers), tried different computers, purge and recover the drawings but no luck. The Plotter is a HP Designjet 800.

The DRC files are in the DRVen-US directory, and is in my drivers search path. I have even changed the order of the search path to place that directory first, but no joy.

Aug 29, 2013How do I get my CTB file into my plotter manager? It keeps asking for a PC3 or PC2 type file. The plotter style manager creates only a CTB. The old autocad version HAD a "plot style" pic window. this one does not. I want to create a "plotter" that writes PDF's using my CTB file info.

I want to do use publisher and make mulitple page pdf's and as I understand it I have to use the built-in plotter to do it. As of right now I have to sperate pages with adobe and then combie them to make a single pdf.

May 23, 2012I just received 2013 lt and want to know the best solution for setting up a HP Designjet 750c Plus to begin plotting. Apparently there is no support from HP for Windows 7 drivers. I'm no expert but what I've read it seems that I can use the HDI driver. Go slow since this i new to me.

Jul 23, 2013I've recently (this morning) come into the issue of the old plot printers being saved in CAD files. I've found a number of tutorials online about adding new pages, and setting the default plotter to "none" via DWGTruView, but these are just shy of what I'm looking for.
Is there any way to tell AutoCad 2013 that if the current/default plotter is "None" to set it to a certain printer? I have about a thousand CAD files that need this change made on them, so obviously a more automated approach would be greatly appriciated. Currently the entire set of them has has their Plotters set to "None", and a custom Page Setup configured.

Nov 27, 2012I am using AutoCAD LT 2013 and at the moment i am just using the dwg to pdf.pc3 included in AutoCAD.
All of the text in my drawings is the same font (ISOCPAUS). Up until about a week ago, i could plot bold & italic text using the dwg to pdf plotter. Now, I cannot and i don't know what has changed to make this happen. Underlined and overlined text still plots fine to pdf. Everything appears correct in model space, paper space layouts, in previews and if i plot to any of the printers in the office, but once i plot to pdf, the bold and italic is gone.

Jun 3, 2013I am trying to solve a problem. My company uses AutoCAD 2013. We set up a sheet set manager template that has custom properties linked to fields in an attribute block. Now we want to finish configuring a sheet list table. The problem is that we cannot get the sheet list table to look the way we want it.
In the sheet list table we add the drawing number, the revision, and then three titles (all from left to right). The three titles come from three separate attributes in the title block. The titles say the discipline (electrical) then the system type, then the particular drawing itself. We want to figure out how if possible, to have these three separate attributes in the same sheet list table cell.
We tried to do a multi-line text, which did place all three titles into one table cell, but then had issues with the multi-line text placing the three different titles into position on the title block.

Jun 26, 2013I have a layer named XYZ, that contains ARC, LINE and POLYLINE. I want to get a list of all linetypes from every ARC, LINE and PLINE. If I open the properties, if I select only the ARC, under linetype I'm getting *Varies*. Instead of*varies*, I would like to have a list of all linetypes (ARC, LINE and PLINE).
Is it possible? WOuld it also be possible to do the same for linescale or weight?

This works but only pulls through and lists the "Inventor Material Library" materials by default.
What is strange though is that when I apply a material from another library to a part then its almost like that library is now active and if the routine is run again it only pulls through materials from that library and not the "Inventor Material Library" again.
I know in 2014 its better supported but is there a way to get all materials in 2013?

Nov 12, 2012Two of my users' 2013 Civil 3D's Sheet Set Manager does not show anything in the Recent list even though they have opened a few sheet sets and have worked on drawings from those sheet sets. In other words, they pick on the SSM > Open > and hover on Recent and nothing shows up. Once some sheet sets have been opened, the Recent list does populate during that AutoCAD session, but once AutoCAD is closed, the SSM > Open > Recent list does not populate. Mine works fine and we are using the same profiles.

Nov 7, 2012In the drawings for my company, we will list notes along once side of the page using multiline text as a numbered list. Each number corresponds to a label I then use to mark up my drawings. My label is usually some sort of symbol with a number inside of it. Pretty standard. My problem is, when I want to add a note somewhere in the middle of this list, the numbering changes for everything after the insertion point and I have to go through the drawing and update each label individually. On complicated drawings I want to make sure I don't miss updating a label or see if there is a faster way to update everything. Is there a way to have a label of some sorts with a number that automatically updates to match a certain note so if I add a note in between or delete a note I don't have to change every single note?
