View 4 Replies View RelatedEvery time i use batch render it loses the connection between the materials and objects, the materials are still in the editor and on the objects, only they are not the same. It's driving me CRAZY, because i forget/don't notice it and correct the material, render, but there's no difference, i correct something else, render, it's still not fixed, change again, render, not fixed, fix, render... Until i realize i'm correcting a material, that's not connected to the object. Vray and SolidRocks Is it a bug, setting or just my computer?

For some reason when I render any of my items that have white materials, they will not be white. They appear grey. In the shaded view they are white, but even the realistic view is grey.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble getting colors in Ink 'n Paint materials to render as specified. They appear washed out - brighter and in low saturation. It happens with both default and mental ray renderers, with or without exposure control on. It also happens if I create an all new scene with nothing but a single box and the default Ink 'n Paint material, using default render settings, not touching anything else - the blue is wrong in the render.
Maybe I am misunderstanding the material itself somehow or missing something else, but I imagined one of the points of the material is to force colors to render exactly as specified.
Got some visual issues on the model space window in perspective view of the Objects/Models somehow gets tearing effects/ parts get invisible or gone missing, when playing around with it, whilst zooming, rotating, paning, moving while inside the perspective view window, this is not evident before in older 3ds max version we have used which is 2009, the model/object is correctly done, no open poly or anything with it or whatsoever....its just the viewing when you try to play around with the model that you see the tearing ups, this is quite frustrating coz you might think that the model is empty or missing its face or sides, or another part have gone thru the object....etc etc.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to render an object to fit exactly into the render window. i.e If I have a plane object segmented into 512 * 512 segments and I randomly colour each polygon. If I render at 512*512 pixels, I would like to fit the plane exactly so that the rendered image shows 1 pixel per polygon.
Whilst you can select region to render its not that exact and is based on the visual window. can it be utilized with render blowup.
Basically I want to render a square object exactly ( no borders) at a large resolution, hence the need for render blowup so that I can render into smaller tiles.
I render 3d object from raster and smart object (extrusion) Each time i do the edge where the extrusion meets the front inflation material is slightly distorted. Should be a smooth line.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a vehicle that is made up of about 15 materials (glass, paint1, paint2, chrome, plastic, rubber, etc.). Many of those separate materials are Multi/Sub-object materials.
The client wants a paragraph of fat text embossed into and wrapped around the vehicle. The text will cross over many different materials. Adding a "bump map" to just one material looks great on "that one" material and is all I need but how can I just add a "bump map" to the entire vehicle model at one time? I've tried adding the bump map to several materials but nothing lines up and it is a nightmare. I just need to wrap a bump map around the entire vehicle and have it "bump" whatever material it is over.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an interesting question here - How should I try to shaded render this syringe so that a plunger can be seen underneath the translucent body? I need to have the gradiations and labels of the millileters be plainly black.
OR
is there a way to keep those gradations black while rendering an illustration and have the plunger visible beneath the body?
The gradiations are cut into the body of the syringe in this model, and the surfaces of the gradiations are changed to black.
Have been adjusting the color styles - but perhaps I'm missing something. Making the material translucent just fades the gradiations on the syringe, I'd like.
Just wondering if there is a way to render an object id or any other render element alone without having to render off an entire image?

It will render away from the head but anything over the head doesn't render. The helmet is larger than the head.
Is there any way to make it so that when I move into wireframe display or edged faces, only the selected object is rendered that way? I don't want everything getting in the way and confusing me with a jumble of wires.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem going on for CS6... Where when I created a design, grouped all of them so that they had the same center.. then did a force perspective... Some of the letters didn't render while a wire frame does exist for them.
One friend suggested to make sure all of the points are joined, however when I Ctrl+J them, I get an error that says invalid object... which is most likely because they are joined...

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe same scene, same settings, produce 2 very different outputs in max 2011 and 2012, render to texture for normals is currently useless in max 2012.
The blue one is a correct tangent normal map created from a sphere in max 2011, the colored one is the the one created inside max 2012 from the same objects and settings, and the last is another sample of normals generated in max 2012.
Inventor is awesome, quick to learn but sometime i get really blocked..Makes 2 hours i am trying everything to recreate a sheet of paper (a4) bended like a cone that isn t perfectly round but with the bottom flat.
I have attached a photo of what i am trying to create.I have tried to make it with using a triangle isosceles as the bottom and curve a sheet of metal using the "contour roll" between the 2 isocele sides.
I am trying to get a simple rounded bullnose cantilever running down the sides of a curved 3D solid block. I have tried SWEEP, LOFT, FILLET, etc. and following various tutorials did not work when applied to this shape...
I have attached the basic shape of the bullnose I desire to the 4 corners of the block.
I have used both AutoCAD 2007 on my PC and 2011 on my MAC.

Any way to show clearly that there are counter bores on both sides of a plate. It does show the dotted lines for when it is on the down side of the plate, but in some sections i have a counter bore of the same diameter on both sides of the plate. Is my best bet just to to create two drawings of the upper and lower faces?
Also i've been trying to use the hole tables, something thats new to me, and i can get all the holes coming up, but im unable to get them to show up as actual counter bores, instead it shows up as two entries.
Is there an easy way to flange so that the flat pattern comes out with the two sides' faces are parallel to each other? I have attached the part I am trying to work with.

View 6 Replies View RelatedEach time I want to have batch render with 4 camera views. I thought it would provide me with elements along with it. But it just brings me only one file as I set .png.
I know it works with State Set by changing camera view. But Batch render should work too.
