I have created a 3d model of a football stadium, but when I try to render it, it comes up with this message and it cannot render the scene. I've tried everything I can to fix it, but nothing has worked.

I am rendering an interior animation of a church for a client and after rendering a few frames with backburner on my offices network, I noticed that a lot of the frames have black faces that appear on the walls, then disappear in other frames. In particular the central column in the first attached image, the second image is how it should look. I've created both photon maps for GI and Final gather maps for most of the animation.

I'm trying to render a large drawing and I keep getting this error message:
"The Scene Cannot Be Rendered. The Scene Must Contain At Least One 3D Wireframe or Solid Model Object To Render"
Other, similar drawings do not get this error message and i cant figure out what is causing it.
How I can render my model with a different background without having to use "fog"?.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe same scene, same settings, produce 2 very different outputs in max 2011 and 2012, render to texture for normals is currently useless in max 2012.
The blue one is a correct tangent normal map created from a sphere in max 2011, the colored one is the the one created inside max 2012 from the same objects and settings, and the last is another sample of normals generated in max 2012.
I want to start rendering during the times a pc is not in use (my first thought: scrip). So I started searching the internet, testing, trial and error and now I am at the point that my model renders perfectly if I type all the commands in the command line. But when I excecute the exact same commands via a script, a lot of my 3d-components are left out (for example, in a piping skid, I see my valves, bends, Tees, steel profiles, but not the pipes or plates). Someone mentioned that it might be the object enabler (?). I have no experience and can't even guess how to use an object enabler, let alone in a script.

I am using autocad 2012, the model is created using Bentley Plant design and prosteel and attatched as XREF.
What is the equivalent of getting a AcGsModel with a render type of kDirect similar to that of the old BlockView example in ObjectArx. The function used the AcGsClassFactory::createModel(...) but I cannot seem to find an equivalent to this in .Net.
I am currently using an in-memory Database to display graphical objects. Now I want to add "Ghost" objects to the View where they are not added to the Database and displayed over-top of the database resident objects. How can I accomplish this in .Net.
Each time I want to have batch render with 4 camera views. I thought it would provide me with elements along with it. But it just brings me only one file as I set .png.
I know it works with State Set by changing camera view. But Batch render should work too.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with getting an Inventor model into Revit. It's not the import of the model that's the problem, but the way the model displays in Revit. (It displays fine in AutoCAD, 3ds max etc - just not Revit.)
Here's the part file - it's just a simple box with a couple of split-face features on it to generate a pattern.
If I take the model into Revit, I can only see the pattern if I select the object.
Deselect the object and the pattern vanishes. Here's an unselected/selected screenshot from Revit:

I have a model of a boat from some database. It's build from 3D faces but I would like to make it a 3D solid with a thickness of 3mm.
I can convert the faces into a surface, but i can't seem to get any of the two models into a 3D solid. I have tried thicken, convtosolid and a lot of other options without luck.
I was wondering if I could make two surfaces, one smaller than the other, place them ontop of eachother and create solid between them?
I cannot render to file has my "Output file name" box is grayed out and i can not enable it. I'm using AutoCAD 2013 (student edition).
Is it because its a student copy, or am i missing something?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI opened a .JT files without issues, it shows the model as it suppose to do and also without errors. When I try render it, it disappears. The same happens when exporting to STEP.
And it is also not possible to make a section view. I have the feeling that is has to do with the fact that JT files are use for visualization. Something with nodes? Is there a way to convert the JT file that it acts as a normal Inventor file?
is it possible to ray-trace and output to file instead of render in Inventor Studio? I ask because realistic visualisation with ray tracing active gives me better results than render. It might be I am using the wrong settings, but I don't know.

I've been looking on the Chaos site for Vray and sketchup rendering. The finished out-come seems to be stunning so My thoughts were model in CAD, export to Sketchup and render in the vray plugin in sketchup. Is this possible?

I've changed the resolution to 1920x1080 and it seems like autocad rendering all the background+the model to this resolution, so the final result is a lot of background and a model that you cant see the details. the file should be a jpeg or other common picture format but in high resolution.the picture attached is what i got

Using AutoCAD 2012 MEP, render set at Presentation 1024x768, walls are xref'd in.
PS - I did not spec the pc or cad package, just working with what my employer set me up with. Full pc stats are in my profile.
