When a new page or document is created, by default the zero point is set at the bottom left of the page. Is there a way to set it to another point like top left so that all new documents open with it set that way. (top left)

Aug 8, 2013 I have been in the process of making a map which I currently have in illustrator. I also downloaded some administrative boundaries which I have converted to a path in illustrator and am trying to overlay on top of this map.
The problem is, it just doesn't line up. If the top is aligned, the bottom and sides will be off.
Is there a way to select a few points on the path of which I know the exact position on the map and have illustrator warp, skew, resize the path and it will magically fit?
Illustrator :: Curve Bottom Line Of Text Not Top Or Sides
Jun 18, 2013Using illustrator CC, I want to curve the bottom line of my text upwards, but not have the top or sides move at all. Imagine of the text was something squishy, and I pushed it down onto the top of an arc. I've only been working with Adobe CC for about a week now. I've seen lots of examples of having the text follow a curved path, but they all curve the entire thing, whereas I only want the bottom of the text to curve.

Jan 28, 2013I have a template for a marquee. There are 4 sides to it, so I wondered if there is a way to duplicate the artwork from the first side onto all other sides...without doing them individually 4 times?
So if I select the roof, for example, and insert artwork - can the other 3 roofs be 'linked' in some way, so they become duplicates automatically?
I've tried recording an action for copying, rotating, moving and pasting but it keeps coming up with an error about the Move function not being available.
CorelDRAW X6 :: Update Outline Width After Resizing Object If Scale With Object Selected
Dec 14, 2013Resizing objects is a mess in CorelDRAW X6 when objects are outlined with Scale With Object enabled to retain proportions after resizing.
None of the tools dealing with outlines (e.g. Contour or even Outline itself) continue to work properly after resizing the object.
I strongly suggest to recalculate outline property values after resizing if Scale With Object is checked. Don't just do it hidden somewhere internally in the object model by applying a temporary scaling factor. Instead actually recalculate the actual property values if Scale With Object is checked.

Illustrator :: How To Add Anchor To Left And Right Sides Of Rectangular Path At Exact Same Height
Jun 20, 2013I am trying to add an anchor to the left and right sides of a rectangular path at the exact same height. The easy method seemed: drag a guide to the right point and add the anchors at the intersection. But this is adding the anchors to the guide rather than the path "underneath" the guide? How can I place the anchor on the path?
Or is there a better way to achieve this?

Dec 17, 2013Normally, when you select an object or a group of objects and you go to copy it/them with Ctrl+V (NOT Ctrl+Shift+V), AutoCAN'T will use the bottom left extents of the object(s) as the base point for what you are pasting. For whatever reason, when I select+copy+paste an object, the base point/origin/whatever you want to call it, is way off and not even near any of the objects.
How can I reset this?

Oct 18, 2012Got some visual issues on the model space window in perspective view of the Objects/Models somehow gets tearing effects/ parts get invisible or gone missing, when playing around with it, whilst zooming, rotating, paning, moving while inside the perspective view window, this is not evident before in older 3ds max version we have used which is 2009, the model/object is correctly done, no open poly or anything with it or whatsoever....its just the viewing when you try to play around with the model that you see the tearing ups, this is quite frustrating coz you might think that the model is empty or missing its face or sides, or another part have gone thru the object....etc etc.
