Jul 13, 2013Under the view cube, in part files, there must be a short ribbon with 3 or 4 view orientation buttons: the navigation bar.It disappeared, how to bring it back?

Sep 14, 2013I just installed a student version of Inventor Pro on my comptuer. I have used this and several other similar software packages before. My problem: when I open a new part file, it takes me to a gray screen. No coordinate axes, view cube, nothing. When I click "Create 2D Sketch," still nothing. Same gray screen. If I draw a line, it doesn't show anything.
I've gone to View -> Object Visibility, and everything seems to be checked off as it should be. I've also clicked User Interface, and it shows the View Cube among other things as being selected.
The software didn't prompt me for an activation key, not sure if that may be relevant to the problem?

Jul 21, 2012why when the view cube and the view control do not harmonize. When I set the view to front to start a 3D model, the view cube is set to Top. When I change the viewcube to Front, the view has automatically been set to Bottom. Is this a bug or something I am missing?
Also drawing a front view. Is is ok to just turn the view to Front and start drawing on the same XY plane? Or I also need to rotate the UCS to ZX?
Does such initial position important with respect to future rendering?

Sep 27, 2013After upgrading to Inventor 2014 we notice that the graphics do not work properly, and that the overall performance in drawings and modelling bad compared to 2013. Then we installed SP1 and now drawing views are disappearing, however when we select "shaded" view the view reappears and works perfectly..
Any workaround regarding disappearing views?
AutoCad 2D :: Nav Cube Won't Show With 2D Wireframe
Oct 20, 2011At work one of our computers is running Acad 2009. For some reason the nav. cube only shows if I use a visual style other than 2D Wireframe. With the latter it's gone, and seeing how 2D Wireframe is what I use 90% of the time I really miss the cube! I can't find a solution to this in the nav. cube options.

Aug 21, 2013Our Council has been updating our school system. We have the design suite and have chosen Inventor 2013, AutoCAD 2013, Inventor Fusion.
The issue is that in Inventor the EDIT FORM tool isn't on the Ribbon. It also isn't on the add in's for Inventor 2013 either.
We also downloaded the suite direct from AutoDESK.

VideoStudio :: Changing Colours Of Navigation Button In Menu Template?
Jul 26, 2012user of Corel Videostudio pro x5 and gradually getting to grips with the functionality, however I have come to a dead end on one issue. I have edited a video ready for sharing and have gone to create a disc with a menu. I did not want any of the existing menu template so managed to create my own using a photograph as background and adding text I have managed to edit the text to change font etc but when it comes to the navigation buttons I cannot seem to be able to edit the properties. When using customise I can choose the different styles of button but cannot change the colour of the buttons to suit my template colour scheme. For some reason whenever I run a preview the play button always turns out to be pale blue colour. Currently on the create disc function I am selecting DVD for testing purposes instead of burning expensive Blue Ray discs however when finished I will want to burn blue ray discs.

Jan 29, 2013I've checked everywhere else for a solution but none apply to me it seems. My keyboard shortcut for returning to the home isometric view (F6) is not working. F3, F4, & F5 all work fine. I've tried returning the cursor focus back to the model window and that doesn't work. I also made sure the shortcut is actually listed in the Customize menu, I even reset all to default in case something was changed.

May 21, 2012I have Product Design Suite Premium 2013. In this, the AutoCAD program (with Mechanical loaded or not) at times has an error with a file where the View Cube will move with the zooming (gets larger and smaller) and panning (moves around screent), until I regen (goes back to original position). In addition when it moves, it no longer functions (even if I attempt to click on the screen where it should stay). This is getting quite annoying, because I can't seem to discover the cause. Some CAD files were corrupt, others were not. I just updated the video card driver (ATI Radeon HD 5970 1gb DDR 5), it has no effect.

May 17, 2011The problem is: the view cube doesn't respond and the navigation pane/tool/group doesn't respond either. If i click on any of the tools it doesn't register in the command line.
The view cube stops working after some amount of time (or clicks) regardless of what I've been doing. If I switch to another drawing the view cube works fine there. If I close the (not working) drawing and open again it works fine.
The views under view work.

Nov 14, 2012I'm new to AutoCAD 2013 and I am unable to create new viewports from the "layout" or "paperspace" tabs. The "Model Viewports" are on the navigation bar (the one at the top) but are grayed out and thus unusable and the typical "Viewports" menu from my AutoCAD 2011 (last version I had/used) is not there. I can open the viewports menu from toolbars but am unable to dock it into the navigation bar.

1. PsPx5 is open
2. I insert my SD card into the computer
3. Import pix via Windows into a new folder in the My Pictures folder
4. Look in the Navigation palette, but the new folder is not listed.
5. Closing & reopening Navigation palette does not refresh it
6. I need to close down PsPx5 and reopen in order to see the new folder listed in Navigation
Is there a way for the new folder to show up in Navigation without having to close & reopen PsPx5?

The only rendering software the computer is capable of running is OpenGL, not DirectX, which appears to be the default.
Apparently, the View Cube will not operate when OpenGL is being used, which prevents me from navigating the scene properly...
Would there happen to be a way to have the View Cube display without the use of DirectX? Or do any alternatives to the View Cube exist?

Oct 15, 2011The acquaintance with new 2012 Inventor gave several tiny but annoying problems.
The lighting settings is not so good as 2011 and requires alterations. The View - Lighting setting is always turns to Two Light instead of desired Default. The question is how to permanently set it to desired setting in ALL project? When I create the new lighting style it is visible only in that file. How to make it visible and set by default in other files? [URL]
New 2012 has option of showing the name of part or assembly while cursor stops hovering over the object. Is it any time setting of duration of that option? It is quite annoying waiting for turning off or shutting down unwanted show up. It also either work or not work at all.
