View 3 RepliesI am running 2009 SP1 on a 32-bit machine. When I move the mouse in Inventor, the View Cube blinks. This started before installing SP1, but not as often. Now it blinks constantly as I move the mouse. I have re-installed the mouse driver, but that did not work.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUnder the view cube, in part files, there must be a short ribbon with 3 or 4 view orientation buttons: the navigation bar.It disappeared, how to bring it back?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed a student version of Inventor Pro on my comptuer. I have used this and several other similar software packages before. My problem: when I open a new part file, it takes me to a gray screen. No coordinate axes, view cube, nothing. When I click "Create 2D Sketch," still nothing. Same gray screen. If I draw a line, it doesn't show anything.
I've gone to View -> Object Visibility, and everything seems to be checked off as it should be. I've also clicked User Interface, and it shows the View Cube among other things as being selected.
The software didn't prompt me for an activation key, not sure if that may be relevant to the problem?
Is there a way to have no view transition when changing views with the view cube? I'd prefer that it just switch to the desired view instantly with no transition.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhy when the view cube and the view control do not harmonize. When I set the view to front to start a 3D model, the view cube is set to Top. When I change the viewcube to Front, the view has automatically been set to Bottom. Is this a bug or something I am missing?
Also drawing a front view. Is is ok to just turn the view to Front and start drawing on the same XY plane? Or I also need to rotate the UCS to ZX?
Does such initial position important with respect to future rendering?
URL....I have recently started designing a few replacement parts for a motorcycle restoration I am working on and while up to now.I have been working in the 2D space I need to convert a 2D drawing to 3D!
I think I have a list of commands and tools to be used but for the life of me I cannot turn on the VIEW CUBE...I spent about 90 minutes trying last night.I did look in options and it was not visible there?
I have Product Design Suite Premium 2013. In this, the AutoCAD program (with Mechanical loaded or not) at times has an error with a file where the View Cube will move with the zooming (gets larger and smaller) and panning (moves around screent), until I regen (goes back to original position). In addition when it moves, it no longer functions (even if I attempt to click on the screen where it should stay). This is getting quite annoying, because I can't seem to discover the cause. Some CAD files were corrupt, others were not. I just updated the video card driver (ATI Radeon HD 5970 1gb DDR 5), it has no effect.
View 8 Replies View RelatedHow can i quickly make my view cube operational again? I'm in parallel projection.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThe problem is: the view cube doesn't respond and the navigation pane/tool/group doesn't respond either. If i click on any of the tools it doesn't register in the command line.
The view cube stops working after some amount of time (or clicks) regardless of what I've been doing. If I switch to another drawing the view cube works fine there. If I close the (not working) drawing and open again it works fine.
The views under view work.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn AutoCAD 2011. After a little bit the view cube stops working. Ill click for ,example, left side, and nothing happens untill i close out and reopen.
I sucks big time when your modeling and you use it constantly while drawing on different axises.
the command to get my view cube to show back up. I tried "cube" and it was defaulted to <on> but it doesnt show up.

I open up an old drawing with multiple viewports and half of them have this symbol. So I assume that there is a way to turn it off. Again, trying to make computer faster and not have a graphic symbol in all of my viewports.
In the previous versions of civil 3d 2012 or earlier, I never had a problem with the view cube not staying pointed to the north. Since I never touched it in the past, how do I get it to stay pointed to the north?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI print the file and it looks like the View Cube and Navigation Bar print on the page. I print it a second time and I don't see it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI need to create a cube with the bottom of the cube being flat and then the top being at a slope with all 4 top corners being at different heights, basically I am looking to see if there is a command that let's me drag the corners to where I want it but for the life of me I can't find it

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having a bit of an issue with using this software properly on an older computer.
The only rendering software the computer is capable of running is OpenGL, not DirectX, which appears to be the default.
Apparently, the View Cube will not operate when OpenGL is being used, which prevents me from navigating the scene properly...
Would there happen to be a way to have the View Cube display without the use of DirectX? Or do any alternatives to the View Cube exist?
I tried moving a Profile View and even though I selected everything at once and selected a base point and destination point, the Profile View Station and Elevation labels moved with a different offset than the Profile View itself. ?

I was wondering if there was a way to change the model my base views were linked to.
If I wanted to link the base view to a different model, would this be possible.
When I double click on the base view it shows the file path for the model that is currently chosen; however, it is all grey and I am unable to edit it or choose another file path.
How to change this? Is this even possible? Is it because I have annotated the drawing view that I am unable to change the model path?
I created an iassembly with several dozen configurations, and I need to see all the layers in the BOM. I can't do that with an iassembly. (This is where I learned this unfortunate truth.)
I reopen the 2d, the BOM reset itself to one layer, and any editing had dissappeared. (I need to make all titles of subassemblies not visible, and reorder a few components.)
If I drop a configuration in its own assembly, I can show all layers. If I use Design Assistant to copy the first drawing/assembly for another configuration, the views update just fine, but the BOM still references the original file's assembly. I can delete it and drop a new one, but I have to edit the BOM again.
If I drop the iassembly into an assembly by itself, I can't get the BOM to cooperate. I can set the Structured Properties to all all levels, and expand subassemblies, but it doesn't save. I can open BOM properties in the assembly, and they're all collapsed again. In the drawing, the Level is set to All Levels, but only the iassembly is displayed.
Are there any ways to change what the BOM is referencing? I'd rather not drop in a new one as the BOM would have to be ediited for each new print, and I have dozens to do...
I've attached a screen shot in hopes it will inspire. I will be needing around 200 prints of all the variations of this assembly. It will vary in diameter, length, and a few components are iparts that change size.
The more automated/streamlined the documentation, the better.
what could have happened in an assembly when I've changed the cube front view (3D)? The projection has changed automatically (the view) in 2D. In other assemblies didn't happened the thing I've mentioned before even if I did the same thing meaning that I've modified the front view but 2D stayed in the same projection.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe've got a new dwg template and we found that when we bring in a base view on a new drawing, the drawing changed to an idw format.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to modify the order of the views that have been placed on the drawing sheet? We have a lot of times where we place an assembly view to drive the title block and then place the child components for detailing. Too many time the assembly view gets forgotten until you are done detailing the other parts, now instead of the assembly name showing on that sheet it is the first part you inserted. I would like to be able to select a view and tell Inventor that I would like this view to be the first view instead so I don't have to copy and past everything from one sheet to another. I used to have some code that looked at that first view but I can't find it anymore.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo after creating a bunch of assemblies with associated presentation and drawing files I was told that each assembly needs multiple representations for different part colors. I would like to be able to change the representation view of my assembly (i.e. from 'Master' to 'Black') in the presentation file I've already made and have the colors update here and in the associated drawing files.
PS - I do know how to change the representation in a new view. So...hindsight 20/20.
Is there anyway to create a section view label where you input the offset and elevation data into a section view similar to a station & elevation label for a profile view (see Station-Elevation attached)? Out-of-the Box section view offset elevation labels can only be placed on the section view and dragged to a specified offset & elevation.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm working in 2011 and I'm having a difficult time labeling the section views. Labels are showing up on the retaining wall which I did not assign any labels to in the codes. Also, the vertical faces are labeled on the wall and sidewalks. I am not sure if the assembly or corridor settings are controlling this or if it in the code.
