In AutoCAD 2011. After a little bit the view cube stops working. Ill click for ,example, left side, and nothing happens untill i close out and reopen.
I sucks big time when your modeling and you use it constantly while drawing on different axises.
I have a problem assigning shortcuts to the view cube... the "Home" command works ok with short cuts but others like "Left" or "Right" don't..
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been a LR user since before 1.0. Never had any sorting problems. Now using 3.5 on a 2009 24" iMac, running Lion. Today I'm trying to sort for a web gallery in a collection, as I always have done, and cannot sort. User Sort is selected when I move a picture, the black bar appears where it should, but when I release the mouse, the picture goes bact to where it was. I have tried deleting preferences, and restarted several times.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhy when the view cube and the view control do not harmonize. When I set the view to front to start a 3D model, the view cube is set to Top. When I change the viewcube to Front, the view has automatically been set to Bottom. Is this a bug or something I am missing?
Also drawing a front view. Is is ok to just turn the view to Front and start drawing on the same XY plane? Or I also need to rotate the UCS to ZX?
Does such initial position important with respect to future rendering?

I think I have a list of commands and tools to be used but for the life of me I cannot turn on the VIEW CUBE...I spent about 90 minutes trying last night.I did look in options and it was not visible there?
I have Product Design Suite Premium 2013. In this, the AutoCAD program (with Mechanical loaded or not) at times has an error with a file where the View Cube will move with the zooming (gets larger and smaller) and panning (moves around screent), until I regen (goes back to original position). In addition when it moves, it no longer functions (even if I attempt to click on the screen where it should stay). This is getting quite annoying, because I can't seem to discover the cause. Some CAD files were corrupt, others were not. I just updated the video card driver (ATI Radeon HD 5970 1gb DDR 5), it has no effect.

The view cube stops working after some amount of time (or clicks) regardless of what I've been doing. If I switch to another drawing the view cube works fine there. If I close the (not working) drawing and open again it works fine.

I open up an old drawing with multiple viewports and half of them have this symbol. So I assume that there is a way to turn it off. Again, trying to make computer faster and not have a graphic symbol in all of my viewports.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just installed a student version of Inventor Pro on my comptuer. I have used this and several other similar software packages before. My problem: when I open a new part file, it takes me to a gray screen. No coordinate axes, view cube, nothing. When I click "Create 2D Sketch," still nothing. Same gray screen. If I draw a line, it doesn't show anything.
I've gone to View -> Object Visibility, and everything seems to be checked off as it should be. I've also clicked User Interface, and it shows the View Cube among other things as being selected.
The software didn't prompt me for an activation key, not sure if that may be relevant to the problem?
I'm having a bit of an issue with using this software properly on an older computer.
The only rendering software the computer is capable of running is OpenGL, not DirectX, which appears to be the default.
Apparently, the View Cube will not operate when OpenGL is being used, which prevents me from navigating the scene properly...
Would there happen to be a way to have the View Cube display without the use of DirectX? Or do any alternatives to the View Cube exist?
after I combine a simple poly cube the smooth function does not work?I use merge edge and merge vertices but still cannot get a smooth object..I have tried saving and reopening but still cannot smooth.

When I export to DWF everything gets turned on its side. XY is FRONT (previously TOP), top is upside down view of one of the sides. I've done the make current view home in 2011.

I was using COM to add profiles to bands because I couldn't figure out how to do it in .NET. But when it comes to pipe networks I don't see how you can do that with COM. How the .NET implementation is supposed to work? Here's the code I have that works for COM, except for the pipe networks. I essentially need to assign the correct pipe network to the band.

I'm trying to use Civil View for Max Design 2011.
I couldn't find the plugin in the original CD for Max 2011... I found one here:

Problem is when I install it, I can't see the Civil View menu that usually appears. It says that the plugin is installed for Max 2011 but I can't find any interface for civil view in max.
Am I using the right plugin? Is it even available for max 2011? I tried installing the one for 2014 and it works perfectly. But the one for 2014 is included in the 2014 CD.
I have been using Maya 2011 for a while now with relatively few real problems.
Recently I followed a modeling tutorial and everything was going great until it came to the application of materials and rendering. I applied materials of my own design and when I click on the Textured view icon in the perspective window, Maya freezes and nothing works...I have to open the task manager and terminate the process and re-start Maya.
It does not happen with other models or animations that I work on, just this one. I have looked at all my settings and there is nothing unusual happening as far as I can see!
If I render the model, it works fine in: Maya Software (No problem - looks great!), Maxwell Render (fine but very slow) and Maya Vector (Fine but obviously not what I want!).
If I try to render using Maya Hardware or VRAY it freezes up Maya and I have to terminate the program as before.
Once again other models and projects render fine in Maya Harware or VRAY
