Does IntersectWith work with 2011? If not what is the fix? Apparently I cannot find the apparent intersection point of two lines.
If I try to use IntersectWith, I get an error that it is obsolete.
I am not having any luck getting intersectwith working in paperspace? I'm not trying to intersect with objects in model space, just all objects in paperspace.

In AutoCAD 2011. After a little bit the view cube stops working. Ill click for ,example, left side, and nothing happens untill i close out and reopen.
I sucks big time when your modeling and you use it constantly while drawing on different axises.

I normally use a database transaction to create temporary drawing Lines when I need to do any intersections. But I decided to try virtual Geometry Line2d instead. Intersecting Line2d with other Line2d objects. But I do not understand the Tolerance input. I definitely need it - without it all the line2ds are intersecting even when they actually don't.
I need getting the crossing point for a survey figure relative to an alignment. I'm trying to use the IntersectWith on my active alignment. I'm able to see my figure in debug mode so, I think I've got access to each survey figure. I think I need to cast the figure as a com object to a acad entity using directcast, but that's where it's going bad. When using the ofigure.GetObjectId it returns an integer value and it fails in VS Express 2010 in the DirectCast when trying to pass the objectId.
The error (if I'm setting this up correctly) :integer cannot be converted to objectid

View 2 Replies View RelatedI keep running into a situation where I would like to be able to create an edge or a work axis at the intersection of a work plane and the surface of the part. I figured out a work around if the surface is flat, but I haven't figured out a work around for a curved surface.
How do I create work axis where work plane intersects curved surface?
Or put another way: How do I project intersection of work plane and curved surface onto the work plane in a 2D sketch?
I need to be able to draw a 2D sketch on the work plane, but get a perfectly matching projected line onto the work plane, from the curved surface, at the intersection of the curved surface and the work plane.
The attached jpg shows the intersection in question. I circled it.
All of my block updates work just fine when I use them in MEP 12, but we have a couple of drafters working in vanilla AutoCAD & for some reason the same commands/ blocks/ settings (same exact file even) that work in MEP do not work in regular ACAD.
Now they do "work" - the commands/ block insertion - but the annotative adjustment (i.e. 1/4" to 1/8" to etc) do not work until I select the block and add the desired scale to its annotative object scale list - why is this necessary? it isn't in MEP? The blocks work/ act properly annotatively once inserted and adjusted as mentioned above, but again, why? Why? Why is this necessary? All of the scale are in the block file as it resides in my block folder...?
I have a user who installed Map 3D 2011. We originally had some install issues, but a clean install and update to .NET framework 4.0 has seemed to finally be able to allow us to install the software. During installation the AV software was deactivated. User has full admin rights. Now when he double clicks the icon to launch the software he's receiving an error dialog box that is titled "Exception in acmgd.dll ARX Command". The only way he can get it to run correctly is to right click on the icon and select "Run As Administrator".

4. Create simple AutoCad module by C# with IExtensionApplication
5. Try to call this module from AutoCAD - it works
6. In Initialize() method I wrote:

I have added reference acdbmgd/acmgd from C:Program FilesAutodeskAutoCAD 2011 with copy local =false I can see from the list the version are 18.0.0.0
But when I start debug the project I got the following error..This project used to work with AutoCAD2010, now just moved to 2011 I can't even start debuging

When it comes out of the plotter it's not there. If I print the PDF by itself through Acrobat it prints fine. Is there a bug here?

One of the things about Mtext that I really like is to dynamically adjust the text box size. I don't seem to be able to do this when using the multileader with the Mtext. The Mtext when selected with the Multileader acts like the single line text where I have to manually insert returns.

I have download the sp2 and it seems to fix the problem, but then it comes back again. Some PC are working and other are not.
The only workaround I have got is to remove ACA from the regedit and run CAD again or run the update msi.
I recently just installed Autocad 2012, using a student licence obtained from the autodesk website. I entered my serial number and product key, and it said that it was suceesfully installed. It even launched, however now when I launch Autocad 2012 the start up screen appears, it says its initialzing, it loads then nothing appears on my screen or even my taskbar, I'm running Windows 7 professional 32 bit.

The problem is, when start a new project AutoCAD 2012 library is automatically referenced. Even if I try to remove it, AutoCAD does nor allow it saying that it is in use. I can't even find AutoCAD 2011 library in the list of references. And I want to reference 2011 library only.
When I open certian drawings, my autocad will freeze up and says autocad application is not responding. this only happens with certian drawings. I have tried restarting my computer, closing all other programes and only having autocad running, opening the file on a diffrent computer, and updating my graphic driver.

For example if i would to covert my dwg in a PDF file, i go on action bottom "A bottom", i go on EXPORT and to PDF.
ALL ok but if i press on SAVE the program have a fatal crash.
My pc have Windows 7 pro 32bit, i have install the SO by 2 day, i have installed all the windows update. The user profile is OK and if i access on pc witch another profile the system have crash too.
I have java 7 u21 and .net 4.5. On similiar PC the program dont crash.
