Is there a way to create a table of stations and offsets along a specific alignment at chosen locations?
Dynamic would be preferred.
I'm currently using version 2013.

I created a profile for an alignment (which has 2 offsets) and also an assembly with two assembly offsets. I wanted to create a corridor where my assembly offsets will have the same profile but will be on different alignments (alignment offsets).
In the corridor properties / parameters, I got an error : duplicate profile found. Should I copy the profile (for each offset) in different profile views (for each offset) ? Or there is a better way to do that ?
Creating points at the stations of an alignment,
I wanted to get the (x,y,z) of the stations of an alignment, but sounds not to work.
In the screenshots below, I got the message “The specified station is not valid for this object” and couldn’t proceed!

I was trying to find a way to not have the last ending Station Label show up on my centerline is there a override or way to tell it to just label to the last 100 or 50 foot station?

I wanted to plot points at the stations of horizontal alignment to be then able to capture their XYZ and thus can be stored on the GPS devise for setting out on the field.

Land desktop anchored the alignment stationing at the "+" sign directly on the alignment.
Is there a way to do the same in C3D 2010 without adjusting the x,y locations?
I have an alignment and would only like to label stations and specific geometry points such as EC/BC. When I add geometry points to my label set it automatically gives me curve midpoints and beg/end of alignment. How can I turn off these labels so that I only get BC/EC?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWe have just started using Civil 3D. I need to be able to create an assembly that will place a sidewalk at varying offsets (it is too random to make seperate assemblies). I have tried making an alignment of the back of the walk and attempted to use targets in the corridor to achieve this .
I will attempt to attach the DWG that I am working on. The Main alignment is PR-1 as is the corridor and the alignment that i need the back of the walk to follow is PR-1 BWR.
I create the sampleline on the option "by a range of stations" so the sample lines were created on the horizontal geometry points. When I change the geometry of the alignament, the sample lines's local change or I need to do the process all over again?

1.I’m wondering why the cells of the table don’t respond as a particular value is typed for them.
2.Also, If all cells are selected to be given a particular height/width then they don’t respond as well.
3.Originally, the inserted table doesn’t respect the value of width assigned for it!

Is this possible? The closest I get is to make a curve table with the pi coordinates and no bop or eop coord'.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is an odd one. When I have a 1pt stroke and try to align it either on the inside or outside, Illustrator offsets the stroke in an odd manner. (See image for the three states: centered, inside, and outside.) However, there is a workaround where I first set the stroke to 2pt and align it as I want and then change the stroke back to 1pt and the behavior is as expected.
For something as basic as aligning a 1pt stroke, it seems odd to need to resort to a workaround.
I'm trying to add an alignment table, but the curves seem to be labelled twice. When I first labelled the alignment, the curves were C???, so I tried again. After a lot of messing around, I finally got C1, C2, etc., but the table lists C1 & then C?. I've thawed & turned on all the layers, but there aren't any C??? labels on the alignment. Another alignment in the same drawing worked fine.

These are provided to show conflicts between the New Storm Sewer System and Existing Utilities such as Water, Sewer, Gas, Elec, etc. The survey however is incomplete as it was prepared a few years ago and the Storm Sewer has just been designed. Yes, I can create points and provide them to the County Surveying department. However, before this is done, I must provide an easily-understood format of the new survey locations to the County Project Management.
To provide a Point Table which references the Surveyed Points' location in reference to the roadway stationing (Alignment). I have attached what the point table is to look like.

Inserted an alignment line table. It's in model space and viewported (locked) to the layout. On the screen it looks fine but during print preview and printing it comes out too small. Can this be controlled?

When I create a parts list in an IDW for an assembly, I place it above our title block. The list seems to "snap" into place. Unfortunately, when a part is added to the assembly, the table expands into the title block. I want to keep the parts list headings at the top of table. Is there any way to make the table grow upwards, instead of down into the title block?

Is there a way to setup vertical alignment of text in a cell for the entire table, when using Table Tool? It is possible for a single cell, but when selecting a table (or multiple cells) this option is not available.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe street is a 'T'. The alignment is extended... Sta 0+00 starts 100' back and the intersection at centerlines starts at 1+00. The alignment is masked between 0+00 and 1+00, but that obviously doesn't make a difference for the intersection wizard.
The intersection wizard does not give me a choice, it just presumes a 4-way intersection. How do a do/choose a 3-way 'T' intersection in this case?

I have a drawing and want to create an alignment in Civil 3D. I have my line, which is 987.83' long. However, when I create the alignment, the stationing runs from 0+00 to 118+53.92 instead of 0+00 to 9+87.83. This is a factor of 12. The properties tab reports a length of 11853.92 for the line as well. However, when I dimension the line, it displays the correct dimension that I want in feet.

When I try to create a feature line using an alignment/ profile, sometimes it gives me a feature line for the entire alignment, even though my profile is only a small segment. I made sure I selected the correct profile, and I even deleted all other surface profiles just in case. But it still gives me a wonky feature line for the entire alignment.
However, in the same file, other profiles have worked perfectly.
