I have an alignment and would only like to label stations and specific geometry points such as EC/BC. When I add geometry points to my label set it automatically gives me curve midpoints and beg/end of alignment. How can I turn off these labels so that I only get BC/EC?
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to label my Profile label stations as raw stations, 20~20 meters, and I'm not being able to adapt the format to STATION 0, STATION 2, without any plus zeros or +, or -, or commas, or anything, as following in the image.
Is there a easy way to do it?
I have an alignment label that I normally use to show the PVI's of a profile in the plan view.
This is a little unusual, but in a specific case I wanted to design my profile at one alignment, but show it at another. I designed my swale profile in the pathway profile view and then superimposed the swale profile on the swale profile view. I then went back to the swale alignment to add these labels.
It's a no-go AFAICT. The only profile available for me to select for these labels is the original ground profile from the surface.
I was trying to find a way to not have the last ending Station Label show up on my centerline is there a override or way to tell it to just label to the last 100 or 50 foot station?

I wanted to plot points at the stations of horizontal alignment to be then able to capture their XYZ and thus can be stored on the GPS devise for setting out on the field.

For composing a profile label, I can't find the option for Geometry Point Text, which would use our abbreviations under the drawing settings. It is available for alignments but not profiles. Currently have it text compenent being labeled with PVC and PVT, but I had typed that in.

I need to make a structure label that defines the "PIPE FALL" for each incoming pipe. By "PIPE FALL", I mean the elevation difference between the bottom of the structure and the incoming pipe invert elevation.
Actually, I thought it was going to be pretty simple, just by doing:
PIPE FALL = INCOMING PIPE INVERT ELEVATION - OUTGOING PIPE INVERT ELEVATION <CONNECTED PIPE OPPOSITE STRUCTURE NAME>
or
PIPE FALL = INCOMING PIPE INVERT ELEVATION - SUMP ELEVATION <CONNECTED PIPE OPPOSITE STRUCTURE NAME>
I just need to define the elevation difference between the bottom of the structure and the incoming pipe invert elevation.
I know I can use "<[Geometry Point Entity Before Data(CP)]>" (or after...) .
But this text is tooooooooo long.
Is there any way to get only the :
- radius - length of segment. or - Spiral A ???
Maybe using expressions? In this case any hidden elements?
I know I can use segments or multiple segments but I want to do the work in only 1 labeling step ...
Is there a way to label or list a station at a specific elevation? I know how to list and label an elevation at a given station but I need to know where a specific (given) elevation is located on an alignment or profile. I don't care if this is listed or labeled on the alignment or profile, I just need to be able to get a station at a given elevation.

I want to use the 'Create Points at Alignment Geometry' tool in order to label only the PIs. However, when I use the tool it creates two points (one called PI and one called CPI) at each vertex of the alignment. How can I fix this issue and toggle the creation of the various other geometry points?
I'd like to view the parameters of my aligments elements near the geometry points. That is, the station and the radius value or spiral parameter (or what I want). I have explored the text & reference text but there is not R or A elements...
How is it possible ? C3D can detect the type of geometry poinr, so it would must to know R, Lenght,. A, etc....
In addition I 'd like to do it using the aligment label set.... sci-fi , isn't it ?
When you have to create plans, the aligments need to show a lot of information. Doing it manually is so boring..... (and in XXI century ...... )

I am trying to set several hundred points along polyline verticies with the point number starting at 5000. There are no other points in my drawing, yet everytime I start the process, it begins at 1. I have set 5000 at my Next Point Number under Point Identity in the Create Points toolbar. I have also verified that the 'Save Command Settings" is set to yes under the 'Commands-Create Points'. We cannot get this to behave as desired.
This is a 2D polyline with no elevations.
I have made an add-in that automates the insertion of points on a surface and I am trying to find out how to put these points on a specific layer. I guess that changing the "standard" default Point style would do the trick, but I can't find the objects to use in the Civil3D API.

I have a bunch of GIS points that have been inserted into a drawing. All the points have data associated with them, gpm values, that I would like to make more clear. Is there a way to filter and color code them with out doing it by hand?

In LDD I could label a bearing and distance between 2 points. (Points - not actual surveyed points, but 2 spots I click)
In 3d 2010 I only can label a whole line, not only a portion that I choose. This has to be a label option still.
I remember in LDD you could insert points in an area, Is that possible in civil 3d. I have a small area of an big project that i want to review all the points. This project has 517000 points in it so it takes to long to insert all of the points.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have set the default style for the drawing to a certain style by going to toolspace - settings and right clicking on point and clicking on edit feature settings ...under default styles i set it to the one I want for both point style and point label style......how come when I create a few manual points and then go to the prospector tab and right click on _all points, the point label style is not set to the default one I set it to as I described above? The points are not coming in the way I want them to?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created 8 points (from 4 locations with 2 depths in each location) in _All Points/Points. These 8 points are grouped into 2 Point Groups:
Points #1, #3, #5 & #7 for Point Group - (1) Depth#1 and
Points #2, #4, #6 & #8 for Point Group - (2) Depth#2.
The "Name" of Point is filled with the SampleID (like cdc-ss01-s1, cdc-ss01-s2,...) - see the attached file. From the HELP of AutoCAD C3D 2013, I have read/studies the "Point Tables" and "Point Label Styles" and I cannot figure out how to label the 8 points to show the "Point Number", "Point Elevation", and "Name" of Point (i. e. the SampleID like cdc-ss01-s1 & cdc-ss01-s2, ....).!!
Is there a way to force the Low Point or High Point in a vertical curve to a specific and precise station?
I can do it with grips, but it's imprecise. In the project I am currently working on, I have some leeway regarding the slopes into and out of the vertical curve, so I have some flexibility, but some of the LPs and HPs need to precise.

How can I transfer (download) measured data from total stations 'Trimble' and "Leica" to AutoCAd Civil 3D 2013? Must I find a module from the sites of these manufacturers? Or how can I change from total stations formats to the Feald Book format?

I want to set the Profile View starting station based on the "Align_strt_sta" value I have defined based on the Alignment Stationing. I have tried the .StationStart() shown below, but I just get a unhandled exception.
