AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Alignment Table - Setting Out Data - Stake / Station Value
Dec 2, 2013I need to produce a better standard table for our company, but need to know how it would be possible to display only either the START STAKE VALUE/ STATION or END STAKE VALUE/STATION in the appropriate column. If I can achieve this i would not need to details for straight segments as indicated in the details column.

Mar 23, 2012I see that Neilw asked about exporting alignment and profile to the data collector. My problem is this. We use Trimble Links to send data to our data collector and that is fine, but the surveyor cant stake out the points or anything. We can see the info is in the data collector, but how do you set out anything. Is there a setting maybe on the TSC2 that we are overlooking? We have Civil 3D 2012.

Mar 27, 2012Way to snap or drape the alignment (station) labels over a surface or bring them to the elevation of a selected surface. I'd like to know how to do this if there is a way, so when I look at surfaces in object viewer I can get an idea of where problem areas are from the stationing labels.

Jan 7, 2013I'm trying to add an alignment table, but the curves seem to be labelled twice. When I first labelled the alignment, the curves were C???, so I tried again. After a lot of messing around, I finally got C1, C2, etc., but the table lists C1 & then C?. I've thawed & turned on all the layers, but there aren't any C??? labels on the alignment. Another alignment in the same drawing worked fine.

Aug 13, 2013How would I go about generating labelled points with xyz values at 5m intervals along a road alignment in Civils 3D 2014?
I have had a go with the AddAlign Labels command but could not figure out how to add an elevation value to the label. Also this method seems to require manual input for each label which is not practical as I will have have around 450 points to set out.
I have looked into the Stakeout Alignment Report, but this seems to require a survey database, which I don't have.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Point Table With Alignment Station Data Field?
Jun 1, 2010I have been provided with Surveyed Utility Locates along an Existing Roadway. These are provided to show conflicts between the New Storm Sewer System and Existing Utilities such as Water, Sewer, Gas, Elec, etc. The survey however is incomplete as it was prepared a few years ago and the Storm Sewer has just been designed. Yes, I can create points and provide them to the County Surveying department. However, before this is done, I must provide an easily-understood format of the new survey locations to the County Project Management.
To provide a Point Table which references the Surveyed Points' location in reference to the roadway stationing (Alignment). I have attached what the point table is to look like.
I am unable to find the desired data reference in the currently provided data field selection. Am I just missing it or is this a "Wish List" item?

Oct 13, 2011I am creating a table where I want the cell contents to be aligned Middle Center. I can set that up in the table definition and it seems to be in place once the table is in the drawing. If I type text into the cell the alignment is as expected. Whenever I type a number the aligment changes to Top Right. I can go back into the cell and reset the alignment to Middle Center. If I then delete the cell contents, exit the cell then return to the cell and enter a number the alignment returns to Top Right. I want the table to start off empty so others can enter informaiton as it becomes available. Is there a way to have the cell alignment stay the way I wnat it regardless of what I enter into the cell? I tried changing the cell format to text but the instant I entered a number it switched back to a number format and aligned Top Right.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Data Reference Alignment Stationing Differs From Original Alignment
May 3, 2012I using a data reference/shortcut to properly label an alignment in paperspace. However when I reference the alignment in and apply the labels the aren't the same as the original alignment that I am referencing. Is there a setting where I am supposed to apply a new beginning station.
Also it seems as though the stationing(distance) isn't even matching up 1:1 with the original drawing. For example in the original base drawing my alignment starts at 10+00 with the next PI at 14+76.98, but the stationing on the reference alignment starts at 0+83.33 with the very same PI being labeled as 1+23.08. So the very same distance is 476.98' in the real design and the drawing it's being referenced in, but the stationing of the referenced alignment shows it as 39.75 Units.
I've attached a screen of the beginning of the alignment.

Aug 8, 2012Can I inherit the station from one alignment as the begin station for another alignment?
For example. Alignment 1 is 1000 ft long and starts at sta 0+00.
At sta 8+01, Alignment 2 begins and goes off in another direction.
I manually enter 8+01 for begin station Alignment 2. Life is good. Still in the design stage, and customer needs to modify Alignment 1 to avoid something. Now Alignment 2 intersects Alignment 1 at sta 8+15, but same N/E coordinates.
I manually enter 8+15 for begin station Alignment 2.
It would be better if Alignment 2 could inherit the begin station based on the new stationing from Alignment 1.

Oct 29, 2011I've used the attached code to set the number of colu9mns and rows in a table adn it works with all my tests.
However I also receive the warnings:
"Public overridable property NumRows() As Integer is obsolete. Use 'Table.Rows.Count' instead"
and
"Public overridable property NumColumns() As Integer is obsolete. Use 'Table.Columns.Count' instead"
Dim tb As New Table() tb.NumRows = 6 tb.NumColumns = 3
Both the Rows and Column Count property are Read only.

Feb 23, 2012Is there a way to force the table and table text height to stay constant despite the scale? I can do it for Point Label Styles with an Expression. But in 2011 there is no way to build an expression for a table style.
I want to create tables in the drawing where the points are and then plot them from a drawing they're Xrefed in to. The tables are too small but zooming in doesn't make them any bigger because the scale of the viewport changes and they adjust.

Say I have ten sheets, each with a table for quantities of pipe length, and one sheet with a total of all quantities. Can I link cells from each separate layout sheet to the main table sheet, so that I can add them all for project totals?

Dec 25, 2012I imported Google earth surface (at eye alt 600m) to civil 3d 2012 and created an alignment of length 181m.
When I exported same alignment to Google earth , it showed the length as 190m ( the difference increases with increase in length of alignment) And also the profile view of the alignment in the Civil D & Google earth varies.
