Nov 18, 2012I am making a design on inventor 2013 for a colleague who does not know how to use the inventor.
I want to make the solid and then set something up that allows the user to change a few of the parameters of the solid in a very user friendly way (i.e. a box that says "cylinder radius" and has an input box so the user can enter a value).
GIMP :: Solid Border On Text Layer With Other Than Normal Mode?
Jan 9, 2014I made a text layer on top of a textured background and changed the text layer mode to grain extract. I want to put a 3 pixel black border around it that is solid with a normal mode. How do I add a border to my text without it being effected by the text layers mode? The only way that I know how to border is to Alpha the layer to selection then go to edit and stroke selection.

Jan 26, 2011I've been working with this drawing that has 10 PS tabs. The wipeout command & textmask command works in most of the PS ports, but some of the PS ports the background shows through the mask/wipeout.
The drawing is in MS and all the Title/Borders/Dims/Text is in PS.
get my wipeouts & textmasking to work in all PS ports?

Jul 29, 2011we just upgraded to 2012 and the textmask grips do not show to pick and adjust. they did in 2011 but the only thing when the text is clicked upon there is a gray rectangle without grips in the corners....is the a systen varible to adjust?

Feb 27, 2012I have several frames built by Frame Generator in project.
Than one frame has been diminished much while design so I use just several frame links just like parts without skeleton.
Those frame links I have renamed since I have several copies and I would like to have unique name. Now when I start the assembly consisting those links Inventor naturally inquires about missing files.
I show to renamed one and everything works ok except when I start the file again it asks again nevertheless file has been saved. Inventor still remember this frame link names as it used to be in browser and does not accept replacement.

I wish I must not rebuild those parts from scratch again. Therefore I have two questions
Is it possible to save this frame part as normal part (save as does not do it) ?
Is there some other way to get rid of Frame Generator status of some part built by Frame Gen?
AutoCAD Inventor :: Change Content Center Part To A Normal Ipt
May 14, 2013I have a part that was made from content center and modified further. I would like Inventor to no longer recognize this part as a content center part. It has been renamed and migrated to 2013 format, but still when inserting into an assembly the assembly recognizes it as a content center part in the browser.
Also, the browser title for the part will not update with the file name.

Jul 20, 2007Suddenly I can't use Solid hatch. I tells me "Unable to update the solid fill" when I try to change a hatch pattern to Soild. And when I try to Hatch with Solid it tells me "Unable to fill the boundary with solid". I'm hatching a basic PLine Rectangle (all corners joined). Worked fine yesterday.

3ds Max :: Should Normal Maps Change Diffuse Color
Dec 2, 2011I'm modeling in mudbox 2012 and extracting my normal maps for 3ds max and my diffuse and bump as a PNG.In 3ds 2012 the normal map seems to be changing to the overal brightness of the diffuse, changing it noticeably darker.
It's been ruled out that its not a bump map that's causing so its definitely the normal map.
Photoshop Elements :: How To Change Normal Tag To People Tag
May 28, 2013I'm using Elements 11. I imported some photos to my catalog and the program asked if I wanted to import the tags as well. Of course I did and so did the program. However, now when I want to find pictures of a specific person that I tagged in people taggs in elements are separate from the photos in the normal tag with the same name of that person. So I have to review both places to find all of the pictures for that person.
Is there any way to change a normal tag to a "peoples tag" so that I will find all images of that person when I want to find it?
In my opinion it is a little strange that there is now the distinction between two different tag types. If I save the tags to the file via "Save Metadata to Files" then the peoples tags are written in the normal tags section in the files since Windows seems to know only one tag system. So when I import the files again in Elements then naturally the peoples tags are converted to normal tags because it could not distinguish which is which.
Is there a better solution? Can I just combine the normal tags with people tags? It's far too hard to retag all of the photos and the automatic face recognition doesn't work very well in many cases so a lot of work is necessary.

I've attached a similar file that exhibits the same problem. Except with regard to the specific requirement for the angle, the attached file pretty much representative of my problem, as it exists in the actual file. It's the angle going back to the wall that needs to be changed.

Jan 6, 2014I'm very new to AutoCAD but now I'm using LT 2014.
I'm trying to change my linetype from solid to hidden, and I've checked the properties, changed the linetype on my toolbar above, ensured the scale is set to 1, and zoomed in to make sure the scale is correct. I've unlocked all the layers, and checked all my different spaces to see if maybe there was a glitch that just wasn't showing the change in linetype. Nothing!
The properties for my linetype show me that the line is a dotted (hidden) line, but the line itself doesn't show as hidden.

example :i made a radius with the command "fillet edges",radius=50 mm.
the next day i decided to cahnge to radius= 30 mm.
i presssed the "ctrl" bottom, clicked the radius surface to change ,but in the properties tab was written "solid face",with no radius change option.
finnaly i delleted the radius face,and made a new solid edge radius.....
is this the only way?

In the past, while in wireframe, I wasn't able to select a solid unless an edge was selected. Now if I click on a face it will select that item, which is not allowing me to select anything behind it.
