Suddenly I can't use Solid hatch. I tells me "Unable to update the solid fill" when I try to change a hatch pattern to Soild. And when I try to Hatch with Solid it tells me "Unable to fill the boundary with solid". I'm hatching a basic PLine Rectangle (all corners joined). Worked fine yesterday.

I have attached the a pic of the drawing showing where i want to fill. I have tried using LOFT but it doesn't fill or it creates a solid cone instead. The thing i need is the "negative" for a cone. I have also tried to use Shell after LOFT created a cone, but that didn't work either.
while i open any cad files, its solid fill is needs to get enabled each time i open each files. is ther anyway to keep the solid fills remains on.

I would like to know if it is possible to turn a solid fill area into a transparent appearance.
This is in a 2D drawing.
This drawing only consists of Data Connected .shp files. The polygon styles all have a different color solid fill. Transparencies are set differently for each. I thought that may have been an issue because the two layers that plot good every time are set to zero, but another layer that plots bad is also set to zero.
To give you a visual, my drawing indicates the entire state of Michigan (UP & LP) with the Great Lakes. Layout tab 1 shows the entire drawing in landscape orientation. Layout tab 2 is rotated counter-clockwise and zoomed in on the LP. Layout tab 2 is where my problem occurs. The plot indicates a chunky diagonal area through the state showing the color & line content, but the remaining area within the state is blank. Comparing two bad prints, I realized that even though the diagonal area prints on both, they have slightly different "coverage". They also plot different lines in different locations. Why would rotating the viewport cause a problem like this!?
The plot preview displays correctly though.
Plotting from the model space works fine. Why won't it work in paperspace?
I'm finding a problem with solid fill, drawn in model space its fine, but viewed through a viewport and all I see is the outline of it in wireframe.
I'm not having this problem on other drawings, it's limited to this file, but a colleague has also had as well it so not my workstation. This narrows it down to this specific drawing being the problem.
As regards variables, FILL = 1, FILLMODE=1.
It is just solid objects with the problem, polylines with a width display OK as does fill text.

I am trying to figure out a way to get the cut and fill lines on my sheet files to dynamically update when I update my corridor.
My work flow:
Currently I have a model drawing with my corridor, which produces cut and fill feature lines.
I create a separate reference file with drefs, and then paste in cut and fill polylines (where I created from the feature lines).
Finally, I have sheet files where I xref in the reference file.
Is there a better way to deal with these cut and fill lines so they are dynamic when I change my corridor? I don't really want to xref in my model drawing just because it has all sorts of things in there..
i have an issue that i want to separate my yellow solid with nurbs surface (light green). the yellow solid is my walkway which has to follow the terrain (nurbs). easier way to split these two?

So... Is it possible when drawing a line to snap to a 'grip'? I've got a drawing that has been converted from PDF to DWG and the wall outlines are gone. What is there is hatching that is the poche. That means I could re-trace the walls if I could snap to the outside grips of the solid hatching that is there.
This is a part from an inmported step file. The Inv assembly consists of 1047 part files.
I did the following:
Immediatley grounded all parts in the assembly.Opened the 8 (of the 1047) parts that came through as surfaces, all the rest are solid.
Found missing faces on all of them. I found the most useful tool was to create a series of section planes and do sketches with projected cut edges. Then export the sketches and open in autocad. This way I can see a simple line section view.
I set about replacing the missing faces to get the surface to a solid.After a few attempts I managed what you see below, a solid part in the browser. The part will now mirror as a new solid, but will not join. I have tried mirror as single solid, derive as single solid and combine. All Fail.
I have been working for an hour trying to add this split to this part. I have an extruded surface (ExtrusionSrf10) that I need to use as the parting line. When I try this all I get is a "Create parting line failed.....Errors occurred during update".
I have done this many times on other parts, this one is being a pain. I need the split to have two solids when its done. The reason that I want this is so I can sculpt out a portion of this block.

When I create a model space view; then drag it on the sheet; shouldn't they be linked? I mean if I go into the View drawing, move the drawing in question, then update the model space view, shouldn't that update the sheet view automatically? Theoretically speaking of course; we are talking AutoCad.

I have just downloaded an educational version of Inventor. Although I can create sketches I cannot extrude the sketch to form a solid. The origin arrow heads appear over size and it seems as if the origin plane is being extruded to form a solid!

I have created (3) new drawings and am now trying to fill in the title block. I normally just select the drawing border frame and the block definition block appears and allows me to fill in the required text fields. For some reason now when I select the border, it only highlights and no block definition box comes up.
Have I turned something off or changed a setting that I can turn back on? I have also tried reinserting the title block. It will allow me to enter the required information at the time of entry but if I skip through it I get the above results.
I have an ilogic assembly that I change to different widths. And I want ilogic to put the part number into the title block according to the size of the assembly.
What I have works but won't update on its own. I have to open the ilogic rule and close it, then open the i properties of the idw and close before it will update.
why am i not able to open solid work files? The files were made in 2008 in solid work. I ma trying to open them in 2011 INV. I am also checking the box as showing the attachment.
There is a option to open solid work *asm* files. why it is not working?
step 1) I remove the background of my image with the color to alpha method, isolating the part of the image i want.
step 2) I then use color select tool to select all the transparent area that was left behind from step 1.
step 3) I create a new layer.
step 4) Then I use the bucket fill tool to fill in the area on the 2nd layer that was selected in step 2.
This is where I run into trouble. On some pixels where the color filling meets dotted line area (made by color select tool) the color comes out translucent. I don't want this to happen. I want it to be solid ff00ff (color hex) without the random reductions in opacity.
I'm working with sprites and the emulator i use has ff00ff as transparent. I'm getting random pink color coming out of the edges of my sprites. These little specks of pink should not be appearing in game because it is supposed to be read as transparent. i suspect that these specks coming out are related to these translucent hiccups made in gimp.
