I have just loaded the student version of AutoCAD 2012 onto my brand new HP Pavilion Notebook which has 8 GB of memory - Processor AMD A8-3530MX with HP Graphics 1.90 GHz - running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I have created a file in Adobe Illustrator which I converted to a vector image and exported it to AutoCAD. I have loaded the image and have cleaned it up. I am now trying to re-scale it and my session keeps freezing. When I look at the task manager I see that the program is not responding. I have ended the task many times now!
I have repeatedly attempted to export a simple drawing as a PDF and it doesn't take. I get an error message that the plot failed because there is nothing to plot (paraphrased).
Does export as a PDF not work or not in the Student version or?
I cannot save my previous files created on a student version to an upgraded 2014 version. I tried changing the save as path in the options menu, but no luck. I am able to open the file in the upgraded version but it states that it will open as a student version. Also I cannot copy and paste anything from the student version to the upgraded one. Not sure why.
i completeley uninstalled civil 3d 2011 off my laptop and trying to download either 2012 or 2013 but it wont give me an option to download either...I get the product keys but nothing else
When I I convert a 2012 dwg into a 2007 format whether using true view or "saving as" 2007 from an open drawing, some of the graphics disappear. How do I convert withour losing these graphics?
I installed AutoCAD Inventor Professional Suite 2011. I have a problem with its content center. When ever content center is used, student version banner comes on my 2D projected drawings. This makes my drawings worthless. How can I remove this student version banner?
Having trouble with AutoCAD 2012 when saving to earlier versions? I can't save it down to any other version except for 2012, without the system crashing completely.
Also, from time to time we get the crash when editing MText.
I've just downloaded AutoCAD 2014 Student Version, and I can't seem to make my status bar on the bottom work. It's pretty annoying, as I couldn't manage to find the solution yet, did the access path to it changed compared to previous versions?
It's just blank grey (where OSNAP, DUCS, and other fun stuff's icons should be).
I`ve just installed Inventor student and I can`t use it at all since I can not see anything in the main screen! I`ve installed, reinstalled and nothing
I`ve attached two screen shots - hovering over the main screen I get the options and data showing like the correct thing is happening - just nothing visible!
I have recently upgraded to ver 2012 from ver 2000. I have numerous macros that were written for the older version that I need to utilize in ver 2012. I manually recreated them in the new version by typing in the commands from ver 2000. As I expected I am getting errors when I try to run these macros in Ver 2012. The mlayer command, for example, does not work. I am pretty sure I need to use the -layer command and have tried this but I still get errors. While I am relatively proficient in ver 2000 I am having some trouble finding commands in ver 2012 that match the old version. Below is an example of a macro from ver 2000 as well as my attempt to rewrite it in ver 2012.
When a student launches AutoCAD they get error message: Error 1325. "username" is not a valid short file name. This is true for all students who have a username with 9 alphanumeric characters.
However, when I launch it with my student test account named "test" it will launch just fine. Also, it launches okay using my domain Admin and local Admin accounts.
Seeing as how it works with my student test account I don't think it's a permissions issue because that account mirrors the actual student accounts in regard to rights and restrictions.
Tune up utilities got into my system and was finally removed by windows installer today. I tried 2 times to repair Autocad2011 civil 3d, then 3 times to reinstall it, finally removed all files I could find and tried 2 times to install. Cannot install I get eror 1402 about the key being too full or somtehing like that. It is the student version but I use it for my own use and need to access the files.
i bought photoshop CS6 a few months ago and last month i had to get rid of things so i had my comp automatically delete downloaded files etc. didnt think it would delete paid for apps. anyway, is there a way i can recover it without having to buy it again?
My computer died and I am trying to install an older version of photoshop elements from a backup drive on a new computer. I get the following error message " Could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personalization information.
Our IT department ran a patch on our CAD station that corrupted AutoCAD and now it won't run and I need to re-install. I did not do the original installation or customization.
Q1: Will my customizations be preserved when I re-install over an existing installation?
Q2: If not, is there a simple way to preserve the customization by saving the .cuix file and custom blocks? If so, are there any other files that need to be saved as well?
What is the best way to save or export all settings that were configured prior to a re-install so that the new install will work with the same as before.
Settings like cursor size, dynamic snap settings, printers, path locations, layout appearance, etc. We have both a autocad 2011 and autocad 2010 lt license. Is there a solution for both?
Can a 32 bit version of AutoCAD 2012 be installed on a 64 bit machine with windows 7 and a 64 bit version of AutoCAD 2012 on it? It is a network machine.
I am using Autocad LT 2012 on Windows XP at my office computer. I Save a file in an earlier version e.g. 2004 or 2007 and email to home computer, Autocad LT 2008 on Windows Vista. The file will not open. Message is that the file has been created by a later version. THis has not been my experience with earlier versions.
error messages that say I can't use various functions because the file has objects from a newer version. I have ACA 2012 and the file is from ACA 2013.
Isn't there a way to convert or eliminate these 'objects' so I can use these files 'normally' in 2012 ACA?
I have an Nvidia Quadro FX1500 graphics card on XP64. Getting the correct video driver for ACA is critical as we all know. I did a search of the Adesk web site and one page told me to use version 259.57, while another page told me to use version 265.70.
The page telling me to use the newer driver was under the certified hardware page, where ACA is not a choice in the product used, only acad. The page telling me to use the older version was under the ACA support page. Then I go to the Nvidia web site and they tell me to use the 191.00 version.I'vehad a look nside the hardware XML installed with 2012 and te supported driver version is 6.14.0012.6570.
In our office we use autocad 2007 but in our architect office send us drawing on autocad 2012 version drawings we converted all drawings 2012 to 2007 autocad version with drawing true viewer... n than we work smartly..... but when i send drawings..architects office draftsmans open my autocad 2007 version drawings on autocad 2012 version and than show recovery message.. and than drawing close...
The company I am working for has the old 2000 version of AutoCad. They send me drawings with blocks and attributes. But when I start working on them the system will lock up and not let me do anything else. I can maybe get two or three commands in then it will lock up. It doesn't even let me send a C.E.R. (customer error report) I have downloaded all of the service packs and the hot fixes but the problem persists. I don't where to go from here. My co worker thinks it may be a memory problem but I doubt it.
I am opening a file from 2004 and I am using AutoCAD Arch 2012. When I open the file everything is there, but the doors do not cut through the walls. The doors are still there but are not "anchored". Is there a way to fix this easily? I also lost everything out of my door schedule. I know I will get my schedule back when the doors get anchored back to the wall.
Copied the printer configuration (pc3 and pmp) from AutoCAD 2013 to AutoCAD 2012. Plot the same drawing with that same printer configuration. With AutoCAD 2013, it plots out fine - page orientation landscape. In 2012, it plots out wrong. The orientation of the drawing is correct, but the paper is changed to portrait?
The plot setting are exactly the same in both versions.
