I cant see any version options when saving the sat or stp file, also dwg export, import doesnt work either
I can see other people are still able to do this, is there a setting somewhere?

May 30, 2012I've just install DC. Seems to work fine, plugin is loaded and i can import .step files with no problem. Also can tessalate as i wish.
My problem is no uvs are kept from original file previously made in solidworks.
When my nurb is selected and i go to uv texture editor is completely blank.
Why my uvs are not kept?

Jul 15, 2013error messages that say I can't use various functions because the file has objects from a newer version. I have ACA 2012 and the file is from ACA 2013.
Isn't there a way to convert or eliminate these 'objects' so I can use these files 'normally' in 2012 ACA?
AutoCAD Print / Plot :: Page Orientation Different Between Version 2012 And 2013
Sep 24, 2013Copied the printer configuration (pc3 and pmp) from AutoCAD 2013 to AutoCAD 2012. Plot the same drawing with that same printer configuration. With AutoCAD 2013, it plots out fine - page orientation landscape. In 2012, it plots out wrong. The orientation of the drawing is correct, but the paper is changed to portrait?
The plot setting are exactly the same in both versions.

Nov 6, 2012I am using Autocad LT 2012 on Windows XP at my office computer. I Save a file in an earlier version e.g. 2004 or 2007 and email to home computer, Autocad LT 2008 on Windows Vista. The file will not open. Message is that the file has been created by a later version. THis has not been my experience with earlier versions.

Nov 15, 2013I have recently upgraded to ver 2012 from ver 2000. I have numerous macros that were written for the older version that I need to utilize in ver 2012. I manually recreated them in the new version by typing in the commands from ver 2000. As I expected I am getting errors when I try to run these macros in Ver 2012. The mlayer command, for example, does not work. I am pretty sure I need to use the -layer command and have tried this but I still get errors. While I am relatively proficient in ver 2000 I am having some trouble finding commands in ver 2012 that match the old version. Below is an example of a macro from ver 2000 as well as my attempt to rewrite it in ver 2012.

Oct 15, 2012I am trying to export step files from Inventor 2012 into Surfcam. Any files that were created in Inventor translate over as solids. Files that I have imported from step files, recognized features, modified and exported again come into Surfcam as Nurb surfaces. I also tried using Inventor 2013 with the same results.
I've never experienced this problem with earlier versions of Inventor.

Jul 25, 2013Since we upgraded to Inventor 2012 SP1 on W7 x64 most machines cannot open or save out step or iges files. The translator shows as 'On demand' and when i save copy as the 'options' button is inactive. We just get the standard error 'Problems encountered while saving the document'.
I see lots of old posts but nothing relating specifically to stp files.

If the case, what subassembly would I use for the "something else"? If it's cut, the table below also determines the backslope... forming a ditch. How is the clear zone factored in? I need it to go the the flowline of the ditch when it's in cut. I have a design speed of 40mph, ADT of 7000+.

Jan 9, 2012I have code that works just fine in AutoCad 2010 (just plain ol' AutoCad), but will not run completely in AutoCad Mechanical 2012. The code will draw lines, arcs, circle, plines, etc. as well as insert blocks. The command to insert the block has the entire block path so I don't have to rely on setting that up for everyone.
In AutoCad Mechanical only the blocks show up. No lines, arcs or anything else is drawn. I do not use a command method (like in LiSP) to create those objects, I create them through the block table and block table records.
What do I have to do to get my code to run in AutoCad Mechanical 2012?

Mar 23, 2012We are currently using 2012 Civil 3D, and we have a issue with a drawing that not all the Pipes from the pipe network are displaying in the Profile, and even the pipe properties display box the lengths show up way too long and the stationing does not display correctly in this pipe properties box either.
The Big Twist is that we have 2 machines in the offices that will display the drawing correctly, in profile view and pipe properties display box has correct lengths and stationing. So we know it is not styles, etc.
Direct support has suggested we un-install all Autodesk products and reinstall them all again, we tried the repair, however this did not work. Any other way before we have to go through all this work, as we are looking a huge amount of downtime, and we do not think this is the issue. Perhaps a Civil 3D variable or Autocad variable is different?
Lightroom :: Scroll Wheel No Longer Works In Version 4.4 RC?
Mar 4, 2013My scroll wheel no longer works after installing Lightroom 4.4. In all previous versions, I was able to use my Logitech scroll device to adjust the sliders in the development panel. In the 4.4 version, the scroll wheel no longer works and instead of adjusting an individual slider, it scrolls the whole development panel up and down. I did uninstall the mouse driver and reinstalled but that did not work. The mouse works just fine in all other programs. I think it is a bug with the 4.4 version. I am operating in Windows 7.

Sep 26, 2013I have a Command Method which has a loop that opens and commits transactions until the user is finished with it and exits.
I would like each transaction to be undone separately but the undo command undoes the CommandMethod (along with all the transactions that occurred while in the loop)
Do I need to use the COM StartUndoMark and EndUndoMark to get this working?
