error messages that say I can't use various functions because the file has objects from a newer version. I have ACA 2012 and the file is from ACA 2013.
Isn't there a way to convert or eliminate these 'objects' so I can use these files 'normally' in 2012 ACA?
When I open a file in ACAD2013/ACAD2013LT I can't see some XREFs created in ACAD2012LT. XREF command cannot resove it either. It will show path correctly.

With AutoCAD 2013, it plots out fine - page orientation landscape. In 2012, it plots out wrong. The orientation of the drawing is correct, but the paper is changed to portrait?
The plot setting are exactly the same in both versions.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently upgraded to ver 2012 from ver 2000. I have numerous macros that were written for the older version that I need to utilize in ver 2012. I manually recreated them in the new version by typing in the commands from ver 2000. As I expected I am getting errors when I try to run these macros in Ver 2012. The mlayer command, for example, does not work. I am pretty sure I need to use the -layer command and have tried this but I still get errors. While I am relatively proficient in ver 2000 I am having some trouble finding commands in ver 2012 that match the old version. Below is an example of a macro from ver 2000 as well as my attempt to rewrite it in ver 2012.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an assembly that was created on 64 bit version of Inventor 2013, the total file size of everything is around 150MB. Even if I use 'Pack and Go' to move the file to another computer running the 32 bit version I get an error when I try to open it which says something like:
'unable to allocate 3GB memory for FBAttributeSegment'
The actually figure is over 3GB but of course on a 32 bit version of windows it is physically impossible to allocate that amount of memory (even with the /3GB in boot.ini hack)
I've performed various dynamic simulations as well as animations within the assembly so I'm thinking that perhaps its trying to allocate that huge amount of memory for a saved state of one of those.
What FBAtributeSegment might be and whether there is any special way to save an assembly to avoid this problem? The name FBAttributeSegment doesn't correspond to any part or assembly names.
I should also add that I have no problem opening it in a 32 bit version of Fusion which again suggests to me that it is something like simulation or animation that is causing this
I work with a national company that creates criteria drawings for new projects. They recently changed to the 2012 version but they save it down to 2007. There has not been an issue with opening files with my 2009 version until recently. All of the computers in our office are unable to open these new files, although they claim nothing has changed. My CAD will pop up a fatal error and shut down whenever I attempt to open the new files. I downloaded the 2013 trial version and saved the file down to the older version, but that does not work either. Newer versions do not seem to be affected by the files, just my 2009 version. I tried creating a new file in 2013 and saved down to 2007 format. When I try to open it 2009 there is no issue. besides purchasing a new version of AutoCAD?

After reading several of the threads here, I'm not any smarter. I've tried various settings to import the .pdf, and regardless of which option I choose, I get a file corrupted error - it looks like the pdf version output to from Illustrator is flat out not supported by coreldraw. it opens fine in foxit reader, which tells me it's pdf 1.5 version.the .eps imports as a group of 542 objects but I cannot see any of these objects in the Object Manager docker.

The page telling me to use the newer driver was under the certified hardware page, where ACA is not a choice in the product used, only acad.The page telling me to use the older version was under the ACA support page.Then I go to the Nvidia web site and they tell me to use the 191.00 version.I'vehad a look nside the hardware XML installed with 2012 and te supported driver version is 6.14.0012.6570.
Having trouble with AutoCAD 2012 when saving to earlier versions? I can't save it down to any other version except for 2012, without the system crashing completely.
