I have repeatedly attempted to export a simple drawing as a PDF and it doesn't take. I get an error message that the plot failed because there is nothing to plot (paraphrased).
Does export as a PDF not work or not in the Student version or?
I never saw it prior to installing SP2 on 2012... (currently downloading SP2.1 to see if it fixes the issue...)
I have two viewports on the same sheet, one at 1"=30', and one at 1"=100'. Cogo Point symbols/labels will print correctly on one viewport, but not on the other. It seems to be related to whichever one I went into last. If I go into the main viewport at 1"=30', then the Cogo Point labels/symbols in the 1"=100' viewport turn very tiny when issuing "Export to Autocad 2010". If I go into the 1"=100' viewport last, then the Cogo Point labels/symbols in the other viewport blow up into huge gigantic things.
I've NEVER seen this behavior before. It's getting incredibly frustrating, since our client requires a plain AutoCAD 2010 drawing, and the Export feature is flat-out not working anymore. And if I try exploding Cogo Points prior to exporting, then they disappear from the Point Table.
Wiped my whole computer clean, reinstalled Windows 7, Can't reinstall Autocad 2012 student version.

I bought the PS CS3 Extended Student Edition and I have registered on the Adobe website to get my serial number which all went fine, but when I put the Disc in the drive, it does not appear on My Computer,Desk Top for me to open and upload photoshop to my computer! I have put the disc into another hard drive and attached it to my monitor but still nothing comes up! I have tried it on a completely different computer and it appears then, just not on mine! My computer seems to be working fine as I am able to upload other discs to it!
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm currently working on a design in 3ds Max 2013 Student Edition. When I first found out about 3d modelling, the creativity peaked my interest greatly and since Mesh became available in Second Life and Inworldz, I have since been self teaching myself from Max tutorials.
2 years ago approximately, I downloaded the 3ds Max 2013 from the Autodesk site and upon installing it, the program crashed at 96% faithfully everytime. When I asked how to resolve this, I was told to download the trial version and put the code to authenticate the software, it then went from 30 day trial to student edition.
I have since been using 3ds Max 2013 updating the FBX converter to work with Second Life and Inworldz making low poly designs.
Now my current design has 3587 polys and 6,239 vertices, when I move close to my design and select edge, then insert vertex, 3ds Max says it encountered an error and gives me the option to save my scene or cancel to close Max. 100% of the time, if I say save scene, my scene is automatically corrupt and I have to go to a previous save.
No I am not entitled to install the PU's (Patch Updates) since its a student edition and I don't have the money to purchase 3ds Max 2013.
I have cs5 extended student and teacher edition - Windows - there is a top level 3D menu available to me. But when I follow instructions to create 3D text, the 3D options are unavailable to me.

PC - Dual core with 2Gb RAM 300Gb disc space running MS XP Sp3 (ALL Latest updates installed), latest NVidia drivers installed. I have looked at all previous inputs on this problem and carried out installation with Anti-Virus disabled, FIREWALL disabled, disconnected from network etc etc.
On attempting to start any of the package applications the software fails with an A.R.M. error.
We facing the error shown in screenshot attached with this mail.
We are not able to read content centre.
I also check the path "C:ProgramDataAutodeskInventor 2013Content CenterLibraries" and found that its a empty.
We are using :
Software : Inventor 2012 Professional ultimate edition, MS-Office 2010 64 Bit.
Hardware : Workstation Dell Precision T3600
OS: Winxp (1 user )and win7(3 user)

Is it possible to export the contents Table directly into Excell from AutoCad2012?
I've tried the Data extraction wizard but it seems to export the Table attributes/properties and not the contents of the table.
I have just loaded the student version of AutoCAD 2012 onto my brand new HP Pavilion Notebook which has 8 GB of memory - Processor AMD A8-3530MX with HP Graphics 1.90 GHz - running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I have created a file in Adobe Illustrator which I converted to a vector image and exported it to AutoCAD. I have loaded the image and have cleaned it up. I am now trying to re-scale it and my session keeps freezing. When I look at the task manager I see that the program is not responding. I have ended the task many times now!
When a student launches AutoCAD they get error message: Error 1325. "username" is not a valid short file name.This is true for all students who have a username with 9 alphanumeric characters.
However, when I launch it with my student test account named "test" it will launch just fine. Also, it launches okay using my domain Admin and local Admin accounts.
Seeing as how it works with my student test account I don't think it's a permissions issue because that account mirrors the actual student accounts in regard to rights and restrictions.
I have tried to convert some drawings from 2013 student edition to 2011 edition but the DWG TrueView will not allow me to convert student editions. How to use drawings from 2013 edition on 2011.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm a school teacher in the PLTW program that uses Inventor extensively in my classroom. Our district operates under a 125 seat license. The issue I've run into is on my personal computer (Windows Vista, x64) and is therefore outside the realm of the usual IT guy's duties. The Inventor software was installed on my laptop by the PLTW training staff during my summer session. I *think* it is a stand alone install of the program.
What happens is after I launch Autodesk Inventor, I can see the splash screen, and the inventor.exe task appears in the task manager, however after a few seconds, the splash screen disappears and the program does not launch. There is no error message.
This is confusing since until quite recently I am sure that Inventor was working hunky dory. Also, all the other Autodesk programs seems to function normally (Fusion, Design and Review)
I've tried a repair and reinstall, but the problem still persists. Also, I updated the install with SP 1, but this had no effect either.
I have recently updated my display drivers (ATI Radeon), however, I tried reverting back to the older drivers and still the problem persists, so I don't think it is graphics driver related
We installed ACA 2012 a few weeks ago on computers running Windows Vista Business 64-bit. On one of our machines, the Detail Component Manager was working fine and now when we go to insert an object the insertion fails with a *cancel* appearing on the command line.
I have checked all of the file paths and folder permissions and everything is fine. Microsoft.Net Framework 4 Client & Extended is installed as along with Microsoft.Net Framework 3.5 SP1.
I installed inventor 2014 on my laptop with windows 8.1, and export to DWG does not work. When i go to export, the options button doesnt work. when i click save, it pops up a windows and says "Problems encountered while saving the document." On my desktop with 2014 it works perfectly. I have the newest sp1.

View 11 Replies View RelatedAm publishing dwgs / saving as .pdfs / Preview looks good, but when I plot, one line of text appears as series of dots and the error msg from Adobe is close to "Cannot find ArialMT font, some text may not format or print correctly...."
My co-workers have no problem publishing these same dwgs from their workstations, however. Also, there are several text objects / boxes in the dwg, and they all print fine 'except' for the one.
Restarting etc., doesn't make any difference. Neither does plotting in Preview or Draft and so on.
When I place an Inventor 2012 part into an AutoCAD 2012 layout, the drawing view fails to update after a change is made to the Inventor file. When I click "Update View" in AutoCAD the command line says, "1 view(s) is up to date.", but the drawing does not change. Both the AutoCAD drawing and the Inventor part file are located on a server drive which is mapped as a network drive. AutoCAD displays the correct path in the drawing view properties. Running Windows 7 x64.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI updated a working cad station with the lastest pathes. It loaded the new MS Dot Net framework 4. Now Acad crashes if you open it, see below. If you click on an existing drawing it opens and you can work with no problems.
My question is - Is Acad 2011 compatable with the new DotNet 4? The fault module below is DotNet. The old drawings were created using 3.51 DotNet so it looks to me it tries to use the dot net 4 on new drawing.

Autocad failes when i tried to directly opening a file from recieved attachment email. whereas it opens it properly when i save the files to hard disk drive.

If you remove the adapter so that Wi-fi is the only one. Well then everything works...
Everything was working fine and then this morning everytime I export my edited photos, it just exports the orginal and not the edits. I also noticed the watermark check box is grayed out, so I can't check it.

This is only occuring with exporting files where the File Settings is set to Limit File Size to: <<zzzz>>K.I use 5000 as the default due to the limits of the site I am uploading too.

Trying to the base view system in acad 2012. Got inventor model and want to document in acad. New blank layout tab. Select base view and as model space is empty it asks for inventor file as it should. I select my ipt file.
it then says 'invalid autodesk inventor file C:projects......'
the command then closes.
I created brand new part, plain cube, and still the same.
Does LR 5.3 support video card NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT (MacPro Quad (2007 vintage) running 10.7.5)?
