View 1 RepliesWhat is the better way to export a slidehow in lightroom 4, pdf or video?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn using Lightroom 5.2 Slideshow (current version), I can export PDF and Jpeg versions of the Slideshow which look good. When I add music and Export Video slideshow the exposure goes up by +1.5 to +2.
I have gone to "Preferences", "Presets", "Store presets with this catalog" (checked)
I use lightroom to edit the timelapses I shoot and it works brilliantly with the sync setting. But my problem is I use presets that call for the slideshow to move at 24 fps, 26fps, 30fps etc. and some of these time lapses contain over 300 photos and whenever I try to export the timelapse as a video from the slideshow module about an 8th of the way into the progress bar it stops and a message comes up that says "unknown error occurred" So my question would be: Is there a maximum number of slides you can have in a slideshow and is that what's causing this to happen?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using Lightroom 5 also to color grade some of my short videos as it seems to be pretty handy. Unfortunately, for some videos the export fails with the error that the hard drive does not contain rendered images. The screenshot below shows the error message in German.
As I was using the same options for many other videos before, I was wondering what causes this error. The hard drive where I have the lightroom catelog is an external USB3 hdd with lots of space left.
Recently I have decided to give client viewings of their wedding photographs rather than an online gallery as I feel it's more personal and has better impact on a large TV screen with added music. I really like the simple LR interface and have gotten around the well known music feature issue by splicing tracks in Audacity. However, the last time I tried to use the 'export to video' function it took about an hour to create 25% of it (370 photos), so I had to abandon it and take the whole PC. This time I left plenty of time and it was running overnight, and yes, a lovely MPEG-4 is now sat in my video files.
I've just played it back and it seems to have lost all the timings that I meticulously spent hours perfecting. The 2.6 second duration I have set is much shorter and now all the slides don't fit with the music. I've been back to check settings when exporting and there are no options at all. Am I missing something or is export to video still in it's infancy?
I am running LR4 ver4.3. All of a sudden I receied an error message stating cannnot switch to module. I have tried all the usual stuff before going out to the web to look for fixes. On adobe's site they recommended 6 things which I did exactly as instructed and still nothing..I am running iMac mountain lion and everything on my computer is up to date.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter making changes to an image (sharpening, exposure, contrast, etc, etc) in the develop module, when I head over to the library module, the image does not show the latest changes. What's worse is when I export a JPG of the image, it exports the original! What's the point in having LR?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know this is gonna be hard to believe after 4+ versions of LR, but, I just tried slideshow on the 4.4 RC and the timing issue which has been the bain of the slideshow module seems to have been adjusted. I have just tried 6-7 different slide shows, added music of various lengths, changed the fade durations, changed the type of music, source of music, and greatly varied lengths of music and it has actually worked in a manner that would be acceptable to view with a client in a face to face presentation. This includes using an intro and exit screen. I am using a mac with SnowLeopard. I will try this on a PC with Windows 7 Professional later today. You still can only use one soundtrack and make sure the sound track does not start or stop too abruptly, but what a big difference! I could not get it to mess up regardless of changes I made.
View 35 Replies View RelatedI experience a lot of annoying waiting time watching the progress bar while Lightroom is "preparing the previews in advance". In previous versions you could skip this process and the previews were built while the slideshow was running, which was performing very well.
Please bring back this "feature". I know the previews don't have to be built if you already have 1:1 previews but it's not very convinient to have 1:1 previews for every image you might want to show in a slideshow. Especially since LIghtroom 5 invented the Smart Previews I don't understand why these previews can't be used for the slideshow module as well.
Is there a bugfix coming or any workaround within LR (no 3rd party software)?
When attempting to access the SLIDESHOW module I get the error message "an error occurred when attempting to change modules. This occurrs when using either the main task bar at the very top of the page under "WINDOW" or the horizontal list of modules near the top right of the page.
View 1 Replies View Relatedyes I did get a error message but it was too long to copy here.I've paid good money for Lightroom. I'M spending a lot of time using it and perfecting my stuff. If it crashes all the time, what's the point? I am about my work and I don't feel very much respected by this version of Lightroom.I'm using the most recent version, 4.1 .

in Lightroom 5's Slideshow module, i use the Overlay panel (you decide if Identity Plate or custom text appear in the slide show). I've seen screenshots and tutorials where you could add shadow to those overlays - there was a Shadows section at the bottom of the Overlays panel.
But that was Lightroom on the Mac. In my Windows version the Overlays panel does not show the Shadows section that i clearly see on screenshots taken on Macintosh versions.
When selecting images in Library module for a slideshow, the right pane switched to a muddy yellow color.
After minimizing the LR5 window, the muddy yellow box remained on the desktop. Could this be a LR5 glitch/bug?
The lightroom slideshow module appears to only allow one picture or one video per screen. I would like to put everything within one folder (usually 4 pictures) on one screen.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have LR4, and Windows 7. After installing LR4, I could not import mov files. I rebooted, and no change. I have 8 GB of ram, and a duel core Intel processor. I tried to associate the mov files with LR4, and I tried moving the files, first on the SDram card from my Nikon D7000, then to the local hard drive. The result is the same. I try to import just one mov file, and nothing else, but the result is the same. There is a problem with the file. Each file tht LR can not open, opens fine with media player, or any other player installed on my system.

Everything was working fine and then this morning everytime I export my edited photos, it just exports the orginal and not the edits. I also noticed the watermark check box is grayed out, so I can't check it.

I have never been able to export from slideshow and never knew why. Missing video files seem to be the culprit but I don't know how to confirm this.
