View 11 RepliesEverything was working fine and then this morning everytime I export my edited photos, it just exports the orginal and not the edits. I also noticed the watermark check box is grayed out, so I can't check it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen using LR 4.3 and 4.4 on Windows 8 Pro x64 and trying to export a jpeg file with the file size as the limit I get the error "Some export operations were not performed. The file could not be written <<NameOfRAWFile>>"
This is only occuring with exporting files where the File Settings is set to Limit File Size to: <<zzzz>>K.I use 5000 as the default due to the limits of the site I am uploading too.
Fails on my laptop and my desktop.
Does LR 5.3 support video card NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT (MacPro Quad (2007 vintage) running 10.7.5)?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Lightroom 5 also to color grade some of my short videos as it seems to be pretty handy. Unfortunately, for some videos the export fails with the error that the hard drive does not contain rendered images. The screenshot below shows the error message in German.
As I was using the same options for many other videos before, I was wondering what causes this error. The hard drive where I have the lightroom catelog is an external USB3 hdd with lots of space left.
I installed inventor 2014 on my laptop with windows 8.1, and export to DWG does not work. When i go to export, the options button doesnt work. when i click save, it pops up a windows and says "Problems encountered while saving the document." On my desktop with 2014 it works perfectly. I have the newest sp1.
View 8 Replies View Relatedif you download and install with only WI-FI on. you get one MAC adress... then if you connect your macbookpro with a Thunderbolt->Ethernet adapter, you want this to be first in the list for fastest connection. Then Smoke will not export (backburner fails)
If you remove the adapter so that Wi-fi is the only one. Well then everything works...
I never saw it prior to installing SP2 on 2012... (currently downloading SP2.1 to see if it fixes the issue...)
I have two viewports on the same sheet, one at 1"=30', and one at 1"=100'. Cogo Point symbols/labels will print correctly on one viewport, but not on the other. It seems to be related to whichever one I went into last. If I go into the main viewport at 1"=30', then the Cogo Point labels/symbols in the 1"=100' viewport turn very tiny when issuing "Export to Autocad 2010". If I go into the 1"=100' viewport last, then the Cogo Point labels/symbols in the other viewport blow up into huge gigantic things.
I've NEVER seen this behavior before. It's getting incredibly frustrating, since our client requires a plain AutoCAD 2010 drawing, and the Export feature is flat-out not working anymore. And if I try exploding Cogo Points prior to exporting, then they disappear from the Point Table.
I have repeatedly attempted to export a simple drawing as a PDF and it doesn't take. I get an error message that the plot failed because there is nothing to plot (paraphrased).
Does export as a PDF not work or not in the Student version or?
ORacle spatial connected via FDO.
Oracle Table uses a user defined SRS.
Drawing entities (CAD) in DWG file.
command: mapexportfdo
If no CS is assigned in Map 3D, the export of the autocad entities works ok, the result geometries are written with the correct (table/metadata) SRID.
If a CS in MAP3D is assigned (for example as a result when using a WMS from a public server), the export fails.
It seems that MAP3D is trying to "translate" the CR to SRID somehow and it fails if these are different. As this is a "plain CAD" to GIS export, I expect MAP3D to behave like:
Either it just works as in the first step (write geometries) and pick the SRID from the metadata, without applying any transformation.
Or it applies a transformation if feasible ONLY when I the user checks the thick box: Convert Coordinate to (in the options tab on the Export dialog box.
In my case I do not want to transform, I just need the geomes being exported into the target table. So far I have only managed to do so when both drawing cr and oracle SRID are "MAP3D technically equal" (based on a similar EPSG code)
Specifically, because MAP3D does not recognize the user defined SRID in ORacle, obviously it is up to the user to know what to do with the data.
NOTE1: "export fails" is the only message as a user I get from the software, not knowing what is going on. I had to drill down this issue by trial and error, great error messaging (or better refusing message).
NOTE2: Export via another file format is NO option! I need a direct export (as it always worked, also when creating features from geometry). This time I need to exportway.
The LR 4.4 catalog backup fails when exiting the application. I have set my catalog backup location on a NAS hard-drive (connected via Gigabit ethernet), which has sufficient empty space and correct network permissions. An empty backup folder is created, however no catalog file is copied into it. After the backup starts and checks integrity and starts the backup, a second dialog box pops up that says do you want to back up. The first dialog box is open with the progress bar about halfway complete, but can't be made active. If I start another backup, it runs part way and says can't complete as the same as the others report.
This is strange, since in earlier versions of LR 4 (and even in LR3) I had none of these problems.
I am running Mac OSX 10.8.4 with 2GB of RAM.
I've been trying since yesterday to complete the install of Lightroom 5 - upgrade from LR4.3. Each time it begins to convert one of my catalogs it simply stops progressing bout 1/2 way. I've waited overnight and tried two other catalogs. My drive has 80 GB free and I'm running 64-bit system with 16GB ram and 8 processors. LR4.3 has been running fine...
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using LR5.3 since the update. For the past couple of weeks I've been having difficulty with backup. The error message is that it is failing the integrity check and won't backup. If I unchecked the integrity box, it does backup. If I check the integrity box it fails backup and say that the catalog is corrupt. When I restart LR, it does repair and I;m back where I began. This problem began cropping up a couple of weeks ago. I've reinstalled LR, I've done a full scan of my computer and still, it continues. I'm on Windows 7.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have LR4, and Windows 7. After installing LR4, I could not import mov files. I rebooted, and no change. I have 8 GB of ram, and a duel core Intel processor. I tried to associate the mov files with LR4, and I tried moving the files, first on the SDram card from my Nikon D7000, then to the local hard drive. The result is the same. I try to import just one mov file, and nothing else, but the result is the same. There is a problem with the file. Each file tht LR can not open, opens fine with media player, or any other player installed on my system.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried to install Lightroom 5.0 and, just now, Lightroom 5.2. The installer fails with a warning: "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.2 can't be installed on this disk. An error occurred while evaluating JavaScript for the package." Not exactly clear. It also displays a warning for my primary drive and for the installer volume.
When I look in the installer log I see the following entry:
Oct 12 13:34:26 TM-MBP-2.local Installer[721]: JS: Package Authoring Error: Exception thrown while running volume check. TypeError: 'null' is not an object (evaluating 'my.target.systemVersion.ProductVersion')
When I look into the console for errors I found the following entry:
10/12/13 1:34:23.000 PM kernel[0]: HFS: Vol: Lightroom 5.2 Very Low Disk: freeblks: 1084, dangerlimit: 1178
Apparently the Lightroom installer is complaining about the amount of disk space available. The drive I'm trying to install it has 134 gb of space available.
how to get LR 5.2 installed?
Out of the blue, when I re-import Photoshopped files back into LR3, they fail to appear in Grid View. But they DO APPEAR in the 'Import' screen, grayed out, as normal. So why is LR suddenly not showing them in Grid View. Here's a screenshot of the import window that clearly shows the image that does NOT appear in Grid View. Notice that image# 2012_3_4-Edit.tif resides immediately next to it's original 2012_3_4.tif file. It obviously is part of the catalog, LR knows it's there but it does not appear in the Grid. I really need a solution to this because I've build my workflow around moving files around with LR and this is a major setback for me now.

With Lightroom 5 the web galleries I have previously created and uploaded and as well the customer user presets I have created OR the standard templates are now ALL hanging and failing during the "Upload Web Photo Gallary after exporting all the images, etc.
The app does report the folders and files exist on the server so it must be logging in succesfully and parsing files and directories etc?
It then goes off and is looping around "Building Web Photo Gallery" and after about 5 plus minutes it fails with a " an error occured sending the file: connection to the server failed"
Which is probably just because it is broken and then times out because of failure.
I have checked, triple checked, changed passwords and also later uploaded FTP files and etc and actually am now having to EXPORT the whole gallery locally via LR5 and then FTP by hand the whole thing to the website.
EVERYTHING works great except Lightroom 5 is now broken for this task to me. All I did was send money to upgrade and install product and upgrade libraries.......so i can't go back right?
I shoot in raw, I import into lightroom by doing a sync folder. Then I edit my picture using photoshop cs6. I save it as a jpeg. Finally I export this image as a jpeg to a sub folder called Publish, which means its ready for the web. problem is when i look at image in lightroom on the right side the histogram has no details, it wont show iso, fstop or anything. if I look at my original RAW file i can see the exif info in the histogram but on my final exported image its all gone.
furthmore it looses all its tags and meta data, I have to copy the metadata back to this file. it would be nice if lightroom would reinsert the meta info and exif once its reimported into lightroom.
Lightroom Crop aspect ratio lock no longer remembers the last setting. Everytime it is unlocked. Is this a bug in the new version? or is there some new way to define the default state?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhereas I'm able to get the desktop version of the Color Checker profile maker to work fine, the X-Rite Lightroom plugin consistently fails to complete a profiling operation--quitting with the message that it "is unable to locate the color checker crop marks" in my image. In one such "failed" image, the (in focus) color checker occupies about 75% of the frame! I'm using LR 3.6, Mac OS X 6.8. Latest versions of the X-Rite software. Is this a common problem (making the plugin pretty useless)?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading to Lightroom 4.3 in Windows 7 64Bit I often get random problems during DNG developing. The first problem: LR during developing shows on image thumbnail the exclamation mark icon of "metadata conflict" warning (see attached screen snapshot). This problem occurs when an external program (i.e. PS) has modified the DNG file and LR Catalog is not synchronized. Of course no modification at all has been done externally by any software but LR itself! It seems a problem of DNG/catalog sync that in some cases fails (very disappointing). The second problem is the black exclamation mark (see again attached screen snapshot) that means problems during reading DNG!! This problem is absolutely random too. Developing is still possible on this files and usually the problem disappear ...
This problems don't affect proprietary RAW files (NEF from my Nikon D300s) and I've never seen them in Lightroom 4.2.
Moving to a Windows 2008 Server x64 desktop and notice that when Lightroom is installed it's the 32bit version. On Vista x64 the installer automatically installs Lightroom 64bit. Is there a way to manually select the 64 bit version for install ?

Further if I try to resize the export window the export window disappears and LR freezes requiring to ctrl/alt/del to close it. I cannot export anything to HD or email, etc.
I was in a class last night where everyone had Macs and the buttons appeared on their versions and worked fine. Totally repeatable. I can supply screen shots.
Makes LR totally useless.
I've created various snapshots of a series of photos and I'm ready to export. Is there a way to export all the snapshots at once, in a single export step? Up to now, I've been doing this step by step, exporting one version of the image, than going to the next snapshot and exporting again.
