Lightroom :: How To Export All The Snapshots At Once In A Single Export Step
Jan 20, 2013
I've created various snapshots of a series of photos and I'm ready to export. Is there a way to export all the snapshots at once, in a single export step? Up to now, I've been doing this step by step, exporting one version of the image, than going to the next snapshot and exporting again.
How can I use multiple export presets in a single step. After I am done editing, I like to export my RAW images as JPG in 4-5 different resolutions and sizes. Currently, this means having to use the export dialog for each preset. Can I do this in a single step by grouping the presets or something?
LR 4.3, Windows 7. I've started using Snapshots as a convenient way to capture in-process images. But, I can't find a couple things I'm sure HAVE to be in here somewhere...  1. The "generate virtual copies from all the snapshots of this image" button  2. The "export all the snapshots to jpgs or tiffs or whatever" button
How do i export a .iam to STEP or STP or IGES without the three being expordted? i dont want the costumers to be able to see the anything in the three but 1 file (base1 or something).
What i do today is, i make a new part and derive the .iam file and then export it to step but this is getting hard to do when you have many .iam files.
Is there a way to define the export tolerance of a step file? Now the tolerance is always set to 0.01mm but i need a tolerance of 0.001 to go further in another CAD / CAM System.
I have recorded a set of actions that I am automating for a few images. At the end I recorded the export and close steps (I records Save For Web - PNG 24 settings). The issue is that the script overrides each image once it's saved. How can I run the image editing part of the script, and then insure that each file is being exported seperatly with a different name? Should I have not recorded the export part of the script?
I'm exporting to PDF from DP7 using the commercial print settings. There is one layer of text on top of another of color bars. Where the edge of the top layer of text ends there is a step made in the color bars that shouldn't be there (see attached). I tried grouping first but the step is worse.
In my company we work with quite large assemblies, a small project im working on now, contains 527 documents with a total of 3088 occurrenses. Our customers often request STEP files which is a real pain for us to create.
Usually we have to start exporting the assembly at closing time and let the computer work over night, and the product is often a file in the 200mb range, which is too heavy to handle via e-mail, and also takes a lot of time to import to other CAD software.
Using the Task Scheduler is not an option since our file server isnt compatible and refuses to let go of files unless they are checked out manually.
I am trying to export step files from Inventor 2012 into Surfcam. Any files that were created in Inventor translate over as solids. Files that I have imported from step files, recognized features, modified and exported again come into Surfcam as Nurb surfaces. I also tried using Inventor 2013 with the same results.
I've never experienced this problem with earlier versions of Inventor.
it's possible to have a standard text filled in the "Authorization" and "Organization", so that I don't have to enter the same text each time I want to export a STEP file.

Win 8.1 64 bit A Toshiba Satellite laptop, LR 5.3. When I try to export I get a window without export buttons at the bottom to do the export. Further if I try to resize the export window the export window disappears and LR freezes requiring to ctrl/alt/del to close it. I cannot export anything to HD or email, etc. Â I was in a class last night where everyone had Macs and the buttons appeared on their versions and worked fine. Totally repeatable. I can supply screen shots. Â Makes LR totally useless.
I have 2 layers, a background image and a round button with a shadow effect.
How can I only export the button, including his shadow, to png ?
I used Photo Impact, and in Photo Impact, I clicked on the layer, I selected "Export object" and the layer (object) was saved to a desired filename (in my case, I want png or tga, with transparency) .
Also, if I have a background layer, a button layer and a text over the button. If I select the button and the text, how can I export them to png (merge them and export them) directly ? Exactly like the case above, but with multiple players.
My drawing has different layers and I need these layers to be different PNG images. How can I do it?
currently, I use the very silly way to do that: unhide only one layer and select this layer to export one layer by one layer. Whether Corel draw has export image from different layer, or there is additional tool can do that?
I am exporting dailes clips. We record dual system and there are two different audio levels - on the two different channels. However, when I export a clip from Premiere and set the audio option tol the uncompressed codec it defaults to a "single track" audio layout with no option to change. However, if i change the codec to AAC or any other I am allowed to chose whether I want a single mono track or a stereo track.  Additionally - if that single uncompressed track is an amalgamation of my original two tracks - or if it has just defaulted to one or the other.
I tried a lot of sample (mostly from spidernet) using EntityJig. My problem is always the same: I can't walk through "protected override SamplerStatus Sampler" method by single step debugging. If a Break Point inside this overritten method is reached, a new tab "No source available" is shown and debugging stops.
Will Corel6 (or later)Â ever be able to export to a web page directly since the HTLM export doesn't work (drops links). The Corel Web program, or what ever its name is, was a joke. Its amazing that Corel work puts its name on a program that you could not open a CorelDraw file.
My current work around is  to export to a JPG and then import that into dreamweaver and add the links there, then post. A pain but it works.
Im using CS6 and in InDesign can see all of the text required. When I export to PDF, one line of text is not picked up, this is say line 4 of 8, all the other text is exported correctly. Then when I amend this section by adding text/changing colours, InDesign does not pick up my changes?
It seems like a simple enough request, but I'm just not seeing it. When I export (from Library) I want all the photos and snapshots of each to be exported. Is there a way to do this? Or, do I need to make virtual copies of each snapshot, THEN do an export?
Is there a way to customize menus or add buttons to the control bar to make repetitive operations single step. Thinking specifically of adding an import button somewhere (similar to PS Elements 2) in which the current scanning settings are stored. Presently it takes about 6 steps through the menu to accomplish this.Â
Is there any way to force Snapshots and Virtual Copies to read metadata from the original raw file after an update of the same?
I had to change the lens name on some Leica M9 files to correct an operator (me) error, and I did it by editing the exif data with an exif editor and then forcing LR4 to read the metadata from the file. This worked well for everithing but the snapshots and the virtual copies on which the metadata remain as originally registered, unchanged.
I've created a book in LR's book function: selected pics, soft-proofed and made gamut corrections, added photo and page captions, etc. I'm ready to export to PDF but every time (4+ times) I get an error message at what looks like the end of the process. I do have a file but it includes only the cover.  I've tried to send the book to Blurb but get a similar message.  I'm using an iMac running OS 10.6.8. Some of the pictures are laid out in 2 page mode--which I mention only because somewhere I read that mode creates export problems. The pictures are copies in raw (DNG) and sRGB format, and probably 15-20 MB each. I'm wondering if the pictures are too big or...
I was using a trial version of lightroom on windows xp sp 2 and now after 2 weeks it is not exporting images any more. I was willing to purchase a full retail version but does the full retail version has the same bug?
I am using Lightroom to version 4.3. The export feature stopped working. When in the library module if I choose a file(s) and click export I do not get the export dialogue box. Lightroom basically locks up until I press the escape key. Interestingly if I right click on an image, go to export and chose a preset it works? Do I need to reinstall Lightroom and If so how do I do this.Â
I've been using v3.6 on a windows 7 PC for about 2 years. I've recently upgraded to v5.3 on the PC and at the same time have installed v5.3 on my laptop also running windows 7. On the laptop using a few new images: the smart preview, exporting and web functions work fine. On the original PC which has my original catalog of c17K images these three functions do not work. As far as I can tell the association between the masters and the images in the library has not been lost. The library and develop functions in v5.3 are working on all the c17K images in the original catalog.I've set the Export dialogue box up using recommendations from answers I've gleaned form other discussions in the forum eg; making sure the 'do nothing' flag is active in the post processing section and reducing the quality of the JPEG image. Still when I export nothing happens.
I've been trying to export jpeg images from LR 3, and sizing them to 1110 x 525 pixels, @ 72dpi, the dimensions of my blog header. However, despite inputing these values, the exported jpeg image is sized at 793 x525. Quality is set to 85 and nothing else is checked. Am I missing something? I've also tried the "dimensions" and the "width/height" box choices, but it always outputs at the same 793 x525. Â The files are from a Nikon D2h (a little old), RAW.
Lightroom fails to export to jpg most of the time. The application creates the desired subfolder, and displays a progress bar, but does not create the file.
