View 3 Replies View RelatedIn using Lightroom 5.2 Slideshow (current version), I can export PDF and Jpeg versions of the Slideshow which look good. When I add music and Export Video slideshow the exposure goes up by +1.5 to +2.
I have gone to "Preferences", "Presets", "Store presets with this catalog" (checked)
I use lightroom to edit the timelapses I shoot and it works brilliantly with the sync setting. But my problem is I use presets that call for the slideshow to move at 24 fps, 26fps, 30fps etc. and some of these time lapses contain over 300 photos and whenever I try to export the timelapse as a video from the slideshow module about an 8th of the way into the progress bar it stops and a message comes up that says "unknown error occurred" So my question would be: Is there a maximum number of slides you can have in a slideshow and is that what's causing this to happen?

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I have decided to give client viewings of their wedding photographs rather than an online gallery as I feel it's more personal and has better impact on a large TV screen with added music. I really like the simple LR interface and have gotten around the well known music feature issue by splicing tracks in Audacity. However, the last time I tried to use the 'export to video' function it took about an hour to create 25% of it (370 photos), so I had to abandon it and take the whole PC. This time I left plenty of time and it was running overnight, and yes, a lovely MPEG-4 is now sat in my video files.
I've just played it back and it seems to have lost all the timings that I meticulously spent hours perfecting. The 2.6 second duration I have set is much shorter and now all the slides don't fit with the music. I've been back to check settings when exporting and there are no options at all. Am I missing something or is export to video still in it's infancy?
It is convenient to add each image name as a text on each figure by Slideshow. Could I use each image name as the exported file name?

I have a 66 image slideshow sorted from a collection.
LR will only export 11 images.
I have tried from the original images (not in a collection), have saved a slideshow, have previewed and played, everything works fine on screen but I can't export the slideshow as jpegs.
I have exported a slideshow in LR4.2 , w7 64bit, the html preview file works ok but the swf file just shows a greay screen with a ciurcular arrow flashing on a grey screen.

I have never been able to export from slideshow and never knew why. Missing video files seem to be the culprit but I don't know how to confirm this.

View 13 Replies View RelatedInstalled Lightroom 5 upgrade. On LR 4 I can export a 55 slideshow as MP4 with 1080p preset using all four cores on a win7-64 (Intel I7) in about 6-8 min (used 70-80% processor). In LR5, the CPU never goes above 15% processor and takes 45-50 minutes. I can flip between the two (not at the same time) to test. Luckily, no catalog changes other than what the automatic conversion did.
Interestingly, I see a ".aac" and ".m4v" in the destination directory during the rendering process (they eventually goes away and are replaced by the ".mp4" at the end of the rendering export process).
Why LR5 is not taking full advantage of the multi core CPU? How to improve performance in this area?Overall, its very disappointing. I have to go back to LR4 to re-render the slideshows that eventually get exported to a DVD (but that's another story).
Additional information, when I render the slideshow, it looks like LR4 exports using the native executable (no spawned subprocesses), but LR5 spawns a separate process to handle the export/rendering process.

I had this problem before, thought I had cured it, but it has come back. At the end of a slideshow, I always add this slide.
Slideshow will hang up on export encoding the frame for this image, or the last one before it. Before when I had this problem, I had always stored it as a jpeg and just coppied it into the folder of images to be included in the slideshow. Thinking it must be a corrupted file of some sort, although it will open fine in CS5, I created a new image and stored it as a tiff. I then would open it in CS5, and 'save as' a new jpeg in the image folder. Now, no matter what I do, sometimes it will work fine, and sometimes it will hang up. LR 4.1 just sits there. No error message. Just will not complete the final frames. Very frustrating to wait an hour or more for it to create a slideshow and it hangs at the last image. I am on a Vista Home Premium machine.
Is there an add on, or any way to export a slideshow to a DVD format, instead of an MP4? I use a 3rd party program to do this conversion now.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem exporting slides to video using the Slideshow tab in Lightroom 3. I have a folder of images that I am trying to export to video. The folder contains 290 or so images. I have successfully exported folders with more and less images before, so I know that the number of images is not the problem.
When I export the folder of images to video, Lightroom will consistently freeze on the last frame and refuse to do any more work or complete the action. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to this occuring, as I have closed all other programs to free up as much memory as possible, rebooted my machine, and restarted Lightroom. I have used identical settings to export other folders with success. FWIW, this same bug affects LR4 beta.
I'm using a Macbook Pro with a 2.66ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 4GB of RAM.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI would like to export a LR4 Slideshow into my website that was coded entirely in Flash AS3. I have tried the LR4 Slideshow "export options" but I can not seem to make this work. Since I edit most of my photos in LR4, I would like to be able to use LR4's slideshow option on my website without having to reload my photos into an external slideshow program.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my own website coded in HTML5 which is supported across all platforms and iDevices. I also use LR4's Slideshow module and I find very easy and intuitive to use. I want to export LR4's Slideshow to my website. What I can't figure out is if I can export the Slideshow into my HTML5 website. Is LR4's Slideshow module coded in Flash? Is there a way to export the Slideshow as an HTML5 file?
View 7 Replies View Relatedin LR5.0 one can export Slideshow as video to file in 1080 p quality . However , unlike in ather ADOBE products like Photoshop elements , one cannot export to Disc . So what is the easiest way on getting the exported .mp4 file burned onto a blueray disc preserving the HD quality.
I can see that Adobe offers ENCORE in the creative suite, but that seems overkill as I just want to burn the file onto disc. A plug-in for LR5 would seem the best solution to me , but I have not found it.
What is the easiest way to achieve a burn to disc out of LR5 in HD quality ?
PS : of course there is third party software that does allows blue ray authoring and disc burning ; But they all seem to come with photo or video editing software which I do not need . I want to stay with Lightroom , just burn the slideshow to disc
I have tried twice to export a slideshow of 373 photos from LR4, using the 1080P preset. An mp4 file of 3.21 GB is created and it opens in a Quicktime player screen. The player shows 40 minutes of playtime and appears to start, but no images come up on the black screen. The images were created from Nikon raw files, and I am using an iMac running OS X 10.7.5. I am using QuickTime Player 10.1 for playback, but I've also tried QuickTime Player 7 with the same results. What gives?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am exporting a 32 image slideshow to PDF (30 photos and a Intro Screen and Ending Screen). I add Sequence as a Text Overlay and it looks fine in LR; the first photo slide, after the Intro Screen, shows as 1/30 and the last, before the Ending Screen, shows as 30/30 in Preview and in Play.
The problem is that, after exporting, viewing the PDF (on my MacBook Air running OSX 10.8.3) shows the first photo slide as 2/30 and the last as 31/30!
I have tried creating the Sequence text overlay manually (by editing Custom and inserting Image and Total fields) but the same thing happens on export.
Will I have to export the images and create the slideshow outside LR? I do hope not - I much prefer staying in the LR environment until the workflow is complete.
When I export my slideshow in LR5, then view it in Quicktime, it looks washed out. Even the opening screen which is pure black in Lightroom, looks washed out. I've never had this happen before.
