I`ve attached two screen shots - hovering over the main screen I get the options and data showing like the correct thing is happening - just nothing visible!
I installed AutoCAD Inventor Professional Suite 2011. I have a problem with its content center. When ever content center is used, student version banner comes on my 2D projected drawings. This makes my drawings worthless. How can I remove this student version banner?

Our design engineers would like this so they can learn the new version while still using the old version, but I'm concerned about the two versions conflicting with each other on the same PC.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI cannot save my previous files created on a student version to an upgraded 2014 version. I tried changing the save as path in the options menu, but no luck. I am able to open the file in the upgraded version but it states that it will open as a student version. Also I cannot copy and paste anything from the student version to the upgraded one. Not sure why.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just loaded the student version of AutoCAD 2012 onto my brand new HP Pavilion Notebook which has 8 GB of memory - Processor AMD A8-3530MX with HP Graphics 1.90 GHz - running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I have created a file in Adobe Illustrator which I converted to a vector image and exported it to AutoCAD. I have loaded the image and have cleaned it up. I am now trying to re-scale it and my session keeps freezing. When I look at the task manager I see that the program is not responding. I have ended the task many times now!
Wiped my whole computer clean, reinstalled Windows 7, Can't reinstall Autocad 2012 student version.
Installation failed and this is the line from the log:

i completeley uninstalled civil 3d 2011 off my laptop and trying to download either 2012 or 2013 but it wont give me an option to download either...I get the product keys but nothing else

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've just downloaded AutoCAD 2014 Student Version, and I can't seem to make my status bar on the bottom work. It's pretty annoying, as I couldn't manage to find the solution yet, did the access path to it changed compared to previous versions?
It's just blank grey (where OSNAP, DUCS, and other fun stuff's icons should be).
I've got a machine designed that has a couple hundred parts - originally built as one main assembly (with a number of weldment subassmblies). The problem is that the BOM is too large to feasibly have on the drawing and still show assembly detail. I'm trying to avoid a multi-sheet configuration.
So I've grouped certain items and demoted into subassemblies. The problem is that all the subassemblies are attached to a main frame- and I'd like to show this frame in each of the subassemblies as a reference. Is there a way to add a "phantom" copy of the framework to each of the subassemblies to that it can be seen? (and the assembler can see how the subassembly is mounted on the frame) Otherwise all these parts are just floating in space on the subassembly (and constraints are lost on the subs).
I'd like to keep the frame on the top assembly, as it may be customized for future machines, while using the same subassemblies.

Although the part, marked in blue in the picture, has, to my opinion, degrees of freedom, i cannot rotate it round the main assembly axis, the Z axis.
Maybe it's connected to the 2 holes underneeth it, which i projected?
Or maybe because of the axis i made through the M24 thread?
I use Adobe Master Collection CS6, but when i open Photoshop, i don't find the option to have 2 or more images on the same screen on the same time ?
I never had problems before, and still use Photoshop Extended CS4 with the option into the menu bar !
Autodesk making a student version of Maya available, it's really a wonderful tool for learning the software, however...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a part that refuses to display properly in orthographic drawing views. The image below shows how it renders in a drawing. The drawing view to the left is the problematic one, the iso view to the right is just to show what the part actually looks like.
when the drawing view is updating (with the green brackets around it), the lines show just fine (see below). But they disappear as soon as the drawing is fully updated.
I have attached the offensive part and the drawing shown in the images. I tried turning on tangent edges and interference edges, but no luck.
I would like to save my inventor Part and Assembly model file in a lower version. Like in our company we use both Inventor 2012 and 2010. Once the file is created in 2012 and when shared to 2010 users they are unable to open, is there any possiblities to open 2012 files 2010 like how we do in Autocad.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to take a 3" sq 11 gauge tube that will have a pie shaped cut out of the tube leaving only one wall remaining. The tube then will be bent until the two sections are mated and welded. The tube is going to be processed on a tube laser to have the features cut out.
The problem is when I bend the tube in inventor I need a straight version of the tube for cad/cam programming and fabrication and not have it affect the bend feature that is placed in the weldment. I do no want to derive a part and save a separate version in the vault. I would like it all to be in one model.
I try to create a view representation and name it "straight" and suppress the bend feature in the new representation but it changes in both representations of the part.
Is there a way to have two different view representations of the part (suppressed bend feature, unsuppressed bend feature) that I can switch between?
An IDW view is showing a second iteration of a part instead of one of each. I have tried turning the visibly on / off in the ipn. I have also toggled the associativity on / off. The view shows the correct image during its preview, but when the view is done being created, it shows the wrong part again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have created a parametric, multibody master part file to derive parts from it, and then put them in an assembly. See attached file. Now, I need 3 different versions of this setup (with different values of the parameter 'bending_angle').
What is the best way to do it? If I derive parts from it, they always follow the *actual* status of their master file. Is there some method to do this: "derive from this file, with parameter bending_angle=55deg", but keep the dependency relation, i.e. if I modify something on the master file, the derived part fill follow the modifications (with the value of bending_angle=55deg)

I go to the Parts List, Insert a Custom Part, click Apply, Click Ok and nothing shows up. I go back in to Edit the Parts List and the Custom Part is not there at all.

Is there a way I can show this so that the manufacturing print sees exactly what they need to do and nothing more but then on the unit assembly the assemblers see that the unfolded tab needs to be folded down?
Can this be done all in one part file?
Having problems with parts lists not showing the correct part numbers of the parts included in the assembly. In some cases I've made a new part by renaming an existing part but when I create a parts list it shows the part no of the original existing part used to create the new part, even though the new part is the one in the assembly. Also I have just had a number of similar assemblies and needed to produce parts lists for them. I created the first one and then used 'save as' to rename the drawing including the parts list. Then when I re-opened the newly renamed drawing I assigned it to it's new assembly. However the parts list did not update to show the new part numbers included in it's new assembly.
Is all this a glitch in the system or is there something in the set-up which is causing this problem?
I tried to download this SP but got a message "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The set up will now terminate"

I can see everything that I'm doing in the layer preview thumbnail, but all I see on the main design screen is the 'transparent' background. The cursor shows up and looks the part of whatever brush I'm using, but nothing happens on the main screen. I haven't even got a chance to use this version
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have been using lightroom 4. At first it decided that the center image just wouldn't display on some photos. The previews look fine, the selected photo preview seemed to work, but the center image would just gray out like there was no photo at all. I tried to uninstall several things, updated my video drivers, even changed virus protection just in case but nothing worked.
I have the creative cloud, so I uninstalled version 4 and upgraded to version 5. Went into my catalog and almost exactly the same thing started happening. This time, I can see unedited photos, but if I apply a preset the image disappears again. If I click off the photo and click back I can see the image unedited in the main window and the previews show it with the edits. Sometimes I can see the edited photo but at low resolution, but it will not sharpen up to the full image. I even cleared my preview cache just in case but nothing seems to be working.
I don't want to have to re-install windows just to try fix this.I should not that the only thing that changed is that I installed a new Epson printer in windows. I have now uninstalled all but the driver for that printer and still have the issue.
I need some 3D prototype, but there should not be nothing more. I mean any Autodesk logos like in drawings. How to print something from Inventor Student edition?
