Can I add more Image based lighting images besides the one come installed such as (old warehouse, dry salt bed)?
If yes how could i do it
when I am trying to use the lighting style scenes (such as old warehouse) I get this message "Cannot find the source Oldwarehouse of the image based lighting" and the background image does not appear I only get the same old gradient backgroud. (see attached file)
I know the IBL files exist and know where they are but I have moved the folders from the default location on my C: drive due to space reasons and changed the respective filepaths in the application options. However it seems inventor has not understood that the path to these IBL background files has changed... is there some filepath setting somewhere that I have missed?
I am using inventor 2013.
So I'm working in 3D again in CS6 and find myself wishing to "scale down" my image based lighting to give greater detail to my reflections. It seems like all I get with IBL is very large and blurry reflections. sharpen up and focus my IBL?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering, would it be possible to make 6 images of an environment I made in 3Ds max that would represent front, back, top, bottom, left and right sides of where my camera is positioned?
I would need the lens angle to be 90 degrees so that every image would connect with each other.
I'm pretty sure I could do this, but I never really adjusted the lens angle and I can't access my own computer at the moment. So I'm asking here!
The whole purpose for it is to make an area I can look around in, as my dad is doing this with photo's, using a little program to convert 6 images to one spherical environment. We were discussing it and came to the idea of making something similar to what he does with photo's, but instead of using photo's using a scene made in 3Ds max.
I want to use Refine Edge to move a person from one image to another. That part I can do, however, once the person is placed into the new environment, I want to adjust the person so he looks like he actualy belongs in that image. I want to adjust the lighting, shadows, etc. Is the Levels Tool the best tool for matching lighting?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow would I go about matching these images, i would like the two on the left to look similar to the two on the right (so I can cut out the images on the left and place them in the photo on the right).
I have had a tinker around with the lighting effects but the pictures still look quite different.
I am using ImageList to store a group of images.
I would like to read the image name from the imagelist based on index value.
I would need a function to sort images based on GPS position, north to south or vest to east. Is that possible or an function that will come in the future.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to use existing PainNet program or plugin features to solve the following problem? Sometimes in publishing of medical research, we need to show the changes in a patient's appearance over time. Inevitably, the two photos will be in different lighting. For example, the current photo may be in the flourescent light of a hospital while the older photo may be in the incandescent light of a patient's home.
I have tried a method to identify the darkest pixel in a feature common to both pictures (for example, eyebrows) with the following results:
New photo: R:48 G:34 B:30
Old photo: R:45 G:43 B:40
So, how should I adjust the old photo? Simply add either the relative or absolute difference between the channels above to the entire photo? Is there a plugin that supports this? I looked at ColorMatch and ScriptLab, but did not see a solution.
I have never used the slice tool. Well i load an image jpb
I select the slice tool and i create 3 slice box. How can i cut , trim in short have 3 image of these 3 slices?

I have been using Gimp for a lot of "tile based" images, which feature layers composed of several "tiles" pasted into those layers. However, I just recently started creating transparent tiles, and pasting them.
One of the strangest things I have run into here is that I don't seem to be able to move my selection ( Floating Layer? ) if the opacity on the source pixels is 0.25 or less. Specifically, I do not get the usual "drag box" when I hover over the transparent pixels. Instead, I get the "anchor box" ( which seems to crop the pasted area before anchoring ). I tried this on a composite image with some more transparent pixels ( 0.25 ) and some more opaque pixels ( 0.26 ), and the "drag box" appears only over the more opaque pixels.
Why this might be happening? It could be that this is just context-sensitive cursor behavior which varies on transparency, and if so, is there another way to move the pasted selection?
I am completely new to gimp I have an image that is 8in x 6in. It was previously edited in Photoshop on another computer thats how I know the actual size. When I load it into gimp, the image size is in real life the same, I can take a ruler to the screen and it measures 8in x 6in at 100% zoom. However, according to gimps rulers, the image is over 11in x 7in. So I measured what is one inch on gimps ruler and it is actually 3/8in in real life. When I create a grid to overlay the image, through Filters-Render-Patterns-Grid and I make the settings to be 1in x 1in, it too shows up based on gimps ruler measurements. I have the ruler set up in inches but a gimp inch is not a real life inch, and this shows up when I scale the image to 8in x 6in it actually makes the image 5 1/2in x 3 3/4in in real life when printed out. How can I get gimp to display a real life inch and how can I get my images to print out based on real life inches.

My problem is when I try to get the iProperties I get this error. "Plugin not available or not properly installed. Notify the System Administrator that the installation is incomplete. DTCP"
We tried to repair/reinstall 2011 and then removed it and reinstalled, to no avail. I have not tried 2012 yet, as all our files need to be migrated to 2012.
Ist it o.k. or recommneded to have both the 2012 and 2013 versions of AutoDesk Product Design Suite - Premium installed on the same computer? Our design engineers would like this so they can learn the new version while still using the old version, but I'm concerned about the two versions conflicting with each other on the same PC.

There is a value for XYZ angle in iProperties of an occurrence but how to get using VBA.
Any program how to get the property or how to convert XYZ Vector to XYZ angle?
when you have an view in shaded mode, there is automatically some lighting from the rightside. This gives the model/view some shadow look ( white turns into light gray by example).
The lightning style in the assembly/part environment has no influence on the shaded view.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOur team is doing program customization in Inventor 2011 that extract drawings based on 3D model. When the program runs and reached the line that has either open, close and save method, Inventor program automatically terminated and “Inventor Send Error Report” appears. When we tried to debug the program and when it reached the line that has either open, close, and save method, we force to exit our customized program but the same case, when it is totally terminated, Inventor program also terminated and “Inventor Send Error Report” appears. When we investigate the problem, we tried several solutions such as setting the active document to new variable, added a method to pause the program for few seconds, etc but still no effect.

We have 1 machine in the office that when using super hatch it will not "hatch" the entire area as one hatch, it breaks it into separate image based pieces. The rest of the office, it hatches as one entity so it can be changed easily. Even if we use the group command, it will not group them.

When I use the PS lighting effect tool, everything turns dark in the photo outside the lit target area. Notice the shadowing on the arm and breast. It appears the light source is coming from two opposite directions. Like if this is a multi-layer process, etc. Not asking for a hand-holding tutorial.
