So I'm working in 3D again in CS6 and find myself wishing to "scale down" my image based lighting to give greater detail to my reflections. It seems like all I get with IBL is very large and blurry reflections. sharpen up and focus my IBL?
when I am trying to use the lighting style scenes (such as old warehouse) I get this message "Cannot find the source Oldwarehouse of the image based lighting" and the background image does not appear I only get the same old gradient backgroud. (see attached file)
I know the IBL files exist and know where they are but I have moved the folders from the default location on my C: drive due to space reasons and changed the respective filepaths in the application options. However it seems inventor has not understood that the path to these IBL background files has changed... is there some filepath setting somewhere that I have missed?
I have a block that i would like to scale based on the plot scale when plotting.
We set up our drawings full size and occasionally we want to plot them at half size. We do this by setting the plot scale to 1:2 (custom) in the plotting dialog. We have a few blocks that we want to print at the same size on paper, essentially become twice as big.
Is there is a way to fix the size or just set a few scale states and have them automatically adjust based on the plot scale (not drawing/annotative scale)?
The Lighting effects in CS6 are really nice but im having some difficulty with scaling the lights.
When you mouse over the handles on the lighting area, a small tool tip appears to say "scale width, scale length, rotate, move" The thing is I am having a nightmare to get "scale width, scale length" to show up.
I have to mouse over, twiddle about, wait, move the mouse away, shake it etc before finally it decides to show "scale length" It seems like the 'hot zone' for move & rotate is large but scale is just one invisible pixel you have to search around for.
I have a drawing (attached) with the following settings: LTSCALE = 1, MSLTSCALE = 1, PSLTSCALE = 1.For some reason the linetype is not scaling based on the annotative scale. It will update correctly if I change the LTSCALE but for some reason it wants to ignore the MS and PSLTSCALE variables.
As a note, the drawing was converted from a Microstation drawing and the linetype is a converted Microstation linetype. Is there something in the linetype that is doing this.
My Stage is set to 100% w/h. I'd like to center a div, and have it scale based on a percentage of the Stage's size. The div contains animated text and images.
I've seen some similar examples but the Stage always seems to be set to pixels.
Illustrator cs6 - I have used image trace to create a 3 colour image of a photograph. Is there a way to create layers based on the three colours? (One layer for each of the three colours)
It is clear air brushing and skin toning was used to create the somewhat surreal skin surface. But I cannot figure out if the lighting is from the Render / Lighting Effect tool, or air brushed to emulate lighting, or something else?
When I use the PS lighting effect tool, everything turns dark in the photo outside the lit target area. Notice the shadowing on the arm and breast. It appears the light source is coming from two opposite directions. Like if this is a multi-layer process, etc. Not asking for a hand-holding tutorial.
How would you remove traces of a shadow in an image?
e.g. Let's say I have an image of a sheet of metal with a hole in it. Obviously, in a 2d image, it looks like a hole because part of edges of the metal will be shadowed where the hole is. But how would you edit the image to remove those shadows?
The reason I would need to remove those shadows is because I am importing the image into a game engine, and the bump map will be handling the shadow effects.
So here's the problem. I managed to delete a photo from my digital camera. Now I need it back. I recovered the file, but strangely, it's not actually recovered.
Now, I know file recovery is hit and miss, and since this was a photo from the camera itself (not a memory card), things get more complicated. Anyway, I manged to get back the photo...sort of.
The file I now have is 160x120, instead of the 3040x2288 it should be. Now, if this was an actual thumbnail, I would expect the file size to be pretty small. Instead, this little 160x120 image is 2.16MB. This leads me to belive that somehow I can get the real photo (or at least something better than the little image) back from the file. There has to be a reason for that much extra data, right?
Does anybody know how to do this? I figured Photoshop might have some advanced sort of raw file reading or some sort of rebuilding/recovery. Alternatively, someone could point me to a good recovery program (or even some other way to do this).
If it helps, the camera that the file came from is an HP Photosmart M627.
i'm having trouble creating image based slices and rollovers... where the frick is everything? i can make slices just fine but then how do i manipulate the rollover states (over, click, selected, out)?
Any method or script that enables generation of an image based of all the colors currently in the swatch? I would want it to fill a grid, with a patch of the color with the colors name underneath it, and with the name of the swatch as a header on a black background. Maybe even with the lab, cmyk and rgb values underneath each color. The colors need to be arranged in the same manner as in the swatch.
I have been asked to produce a large text based image to be printed on a gym floor with a size of approx. 2m squared. I am using a Collegiate style font and then rasterising the text to allow different coloured parts and blending the letters in to each other. I have produced the image in small scale, but now need to redo the image suitable for printing at such a large size. I know I will have to start again from scratch but am concerned that it may be pixelated at such a large size.
Apply filter > Lighting effects to an image (300 ppi RGB) and when photoshop renders the lighting, there is a horizontal line through the image. It is not a screen or video issue, it is in the image and has to be retouched out like corrupt image. not a transparency issue, tried different file formats, flattened image first, etc.
WHY?
Had this happen before, but now in Cloud V6 is really aggrevating. People have been posting about this for at least 3 versions with no answers.
I want to re size them based on document sized in 'inches' to be set by resolution say for example: If the width or height is less than 4.72 inch the image resolution should be 150dpi; if the width or height is less than 1.33 inch the image resolution should be 300dpi; and the last one if the width or height is greater than 4.72 inch the image resolution should be 75dpi.
I'm trying to combine a monotone image onto a grayscale image to use in my Indesign file. The whole job has to print two colors.
How can I easily make the diaper a PMS color and add it to the grayscale baby and still maintain two colors (PMS + K)
Right now, I'm cheating and combining the PMS diaper onto the grayscale baby in Indesign..... but I really need to have this in Photoshop so I can add shadows to make it more convincing. I tried converting the grayscale to CMYK and deleting all channels but black, didn't work as it took away all the information from the image.
We have 1 machine in the office that when using super hatch it will not "hatch" the entire area as one hatch, it breaks it into separate image based pieces. The rest of the office, it hatches as one entity so it can be changed easily. Even if we use the group command, it will not group them.
I have created a drawing of a floor plan. If I were to print it now it would print at a scale of 1/8"=1-0". If I'm wanting to change it to a different scale (ie. 1/4''=1-0'') is there a quick way of doing this rather than just trial and error?
I am trying to Scale an image layer. Edit>Transform>Scale, is not bringing up handles on the image but insteat creates a small rectangular box randomly on the image!
I like the option of doing an IBL Lighting effect, but when I add a new texture image it is scaled so LARGE that I don't get any of the details of that image in my reflections, etc.
Is there a way to scale that image (texture) down?
I pasted an image to a signature that I'm making. It had to scale down A LOT before I could fit it in. Now it looks all pixelated and crappy. How do I sharpen it like it was when it was regualar size?
I need to know how to select an image from a PDF file in Photoshop, and also rescale it so that i can put it onto Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 for a video with 720x576 PAL settings (its for a DVD!). Also, i have to make sure the image is not pixelated on the video.
