3ds Max :: Decrease Particles Over Time Operator?
Sep 13, 2012In particle flow, I am trying to make the particles emit 1000 particles at frame 1 and 10 particles at frame 150.(basically an emitter that decreases over time)

Illustrator :: Illegal Or Misplaced Operator
Feb 26, 2014So I've created a document with 2 artboards each in size 297mm x 210mm. I've added texts and pure illustrator created vectors. I deleted the swatches pallette and added 13 Pantone C colors. Saved (after a days work) and accendentaly closed the file. When I try to reopen it it gives me this:
Can’t open the illustrator file. The illustration contains an illegal or misplaced operator.

I chose to open the file anyway and all the elements are gone. Pretty frustrating when you're working against a deadline. After panicing I opened the file in Acrobat, saved it as EPS and remade the file. This for some reason saving a EPS from Acrobat split the text fields in non understandable way?
Now, is there a way to get my file to work? Why does this happen and what can I do to prevent this from happening?

3ds Max :: Mentalray Fog / Particles With Opacity
Feb 19, 2012I have a mentalray scene with a fog atmosphere effect that's giving me some trouble. I'm trying to render some particles with a Standard material that has a gradient opacity map applied...the material also has Face Map enabled. The resulted render gives me a black background around the particles (see image 01.jpg) If I disable the fog it renders fine (see image 02.jpg). Also, it works fine with scaneline.

Jul 31, 2011I am working on a file (see attached) where I am trying to show a machine spewing out a stream of diamonds. (It is supposed to be a carbon purifier for the air, using nanotech to break the Co2, release oxygen and make diamonds as a waste product) Anyway I can get it to work to the point where i want the diamonds to now pile up on the ground. I have tried to get massFX to make the diamond particles interact with the ground plane but have had no luck so far.
I have tried to put the rigid body on the Super Spray and also on the diamond model?

Example: When I zoom out with the camera in CC particle world, the particle (energy wave I create) goes blurry. Is the depth of field a default option? Feb 24, 2014My mesher from particle system has trashed the material ID's from the particles. Is there a way to use mesher compound object while keeping the material ID's.
Also mesher object seem to crash Vray. It'll render in scanline, but again the ID's are gone.

Illustrator :: How To Decrease Spacing Between Shapes
Jun 18, 2013I am trying to create an outer border for some tires.
I have created a solid shape and then, with it, a pattern brush. But I do not want all of this spacing between the shapes, so is there a way to DECREASE the spacing or get rid of the spacing altogether. Currently it is set at 0%.
Also, is there a way to raise the shapes so that the shape baselines are resting on the OUTSIDE of the ellipse that is drawn? See first image below where the middle of shapes intersect with the outline of the drawn ellipse.

i'm using the trial version for corel videopro x3 -. when i try to trim the clip, the output is not as good as the original clip. Why would this be ?
i selected the "same as project settings" option when creating the file. is there some other option i should choose ?
or is this because i'm using a trial version ?
i used to edit my clips in windows movie maker and it irrespective of whatever editing i would do, the clip quality would be exactly the same as that of the source clip.

I have a graphic that I use for rounded corner effects in a website. For border and shading reasons, I am using images that span the whole width of the element, not using individual corner images. What I'd like to do is have my base PSD image be, say, 1000 pixels wide, and when I need to create a graphic that is 200px wide, I would just remove 800px of width from canvas, but from the center, and have the sides collapse in together.

(c_not_use_batch.jpg) If I produce the new file using batch convert, the screen size is reduced (c_use_batch.jpg) However, the setting for producing the files are the same (c_setting.jpg)
The files and settings are the same. The only difference is using batch convert or not.
This happens to Video Studio Pro X3 and X5.

Aug 22, 2007I'm sure you know you can convert a photoshop path in to a direct selection, but did you know you can convert a selection into or back into a path?
It's as simple as making a selection via a lasso tool, marquee box or magic wand, open the path window from windows and press the "make work path from selection" button on the tool bar. It is as easy as that. However the toolbar button defautls to a tolerance of 2 pixels which can give you a loose fitting path in places.
