View 2 Replies View RelatedAttached there is a picture made through PhotoScape where big outline rectangle is rounded. I am trying to do similar one through PSP. Drawing I found some difficulties:
a) How to create a rounded rectangle? I tried to use “rectangle tool” but I couldn’t find adjust to make it “rounded”.
b) Considering the possibility to create a “rounded rectangle” and applying “shadow drop” on it, will the shadow appear “rounded” as well? Or is there something to do?
c) In some tests I made applying “shadow drop” on a normal rectangle (as a new layer) the only adjust I could make after that was on “shadow size” (dragging the mouse). I couldn’t find a way to access effect properties to readjust attributes as “opacity” or “blur”. How to come back to “shadow drop” configuration panel (attached) to readjust settings as opacity or blur?
I have a rounded corner rectangle in a template that I am working on..I would like to extend the vertically but keep the rounded edge dimensions the same as I extend vertically.
Right now I extend the rectangle but the edges also extend.
Within gimp, I selected a portion of one image, copied it, and pasted it on another image. Now I want to take the pasted selection and increase/decrease its size. What tool does this? 'Grow' and 'Scale Image' doesn't work.

For instance, can I have it go from 1x to 3x over a period of 2 seconds or must I jump directly from 1x to 3x (or manually break the files into dozens of super small chunks and manually increase each one... which will still not look smooth)?

View 17 Replies View RelatedIs there a LISP routine in Civl 3D 2013 that would add a specific numerical amount to text? IE: I have a sewer label as "Top=100.00" and I wanted to add 0.30 to the text so that it reads "Top=100.30".
There used to be an old R14 LISP known as ADDTXT that I used that worked great for this.
I have 4 layers (background, layer1, layer2, layer3-text). They fill all 300 x 600 pixels that comprise the .psd/future image. What I want to do is use a rounded rectangle to encompass all of the other layers, so that the surrounding pixels (around the rounded rectangle) are transparent.
I want all of my current layers to be the content of a rounded rectangle.
I saw that the Rounded Rectangle properties were not available on the regular rectangle (to change corner radius).
View 5 Replies View RelatedI’m a PS user new to Illustrator (CS6). In PS, using the bracket keys [] to increase/decrease brush point size will simultaneously update the data displayed in the tool panel at the top.
While I can use the bracket keys in Illustrator to change the appearance of the brush stroke, it is not being updated in the tool panel input or in the stroke window…so I can essentially have (2) 3 pt strokes created with the same brush that don’t visually match but whose display properties DO match. Because I will be doing lots of editing I certainly don’t want to work this way.
Google suggests that there is no option other than to delete it and then redraw..

Is it possible to modify a rounded rectangles radius in Photoshop but I find this a big time waster as I'll then have to redo all the colors and strokes and all other changes i've made such as perspective and so on.

I have made a shape with the Rounded Rectangular Tool (U) with a radius of 7 px. How can I change the current button to have a radius of 10 px?
I can manage to get the Transform Controls to show, but cannot get it to change the radius.
Is it possible to adjust the radius of the rounded rectangles after you have placed the rectangle on a layer?
am moving from Fireworks. In fireworks, you had a drag handle to quickly and easily adjust the radius for all or individual corners. I can't seem to find that funtionality in Photoshop.
I have found how to create the rectangles and adjust the radius before I place them in a layer, but not after.
how to increase the radius between the Web and Flange it is currently 7.6 I also need it to be 10.2, 12.7 and 15.2 without the properties of the beam changing. I know I need to use a linear parameter and use scale, stretch and move actions but It never seems to do what I want.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi'm trying to design a layout using slices and such for a website. i'm using the vector objects and layer styles inside Photoshop CS4.
Problem is that during resize, all rounded corners get distorted and do not maintain shape or radius, is there a way to prevent rounded corners from distorting during transform?
otherwise this seems way too tedious to be an effective method of creating a layout that may need adjustments later, since things will need to be recreated.
I'm used to working with parametric CAD (inventor/solidworks), so i'm like a fish out of water without geometric constraints or ability to re-spec existing objects without remaking them...takes me back to the days of autocad.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat I do not like is that I draw a rectangle and then add the radius corners and it is fine.
If I then drag the box taller or wider the radius of the corner changes too. But also I have noticed that it does this even if you drag the box to size first then add the radius corners.
example: I make up a rectangle and add start adding text. Then I have to make the box bigger so I do that, finish adding my text. Now go to add in the radius corner and they are all skewed out of shape. This seems to be because I have dragged that rectangle bigger that what it was when I first dragged it into place.
Is there a way around this so that I can make my rectangle say 250 wide by 50 tall. Then later on change it's size and add radius corners and make it so the corners are all even and not all out of proportions?

It does exactly what i want. Changing the corner radius of a vector rectangle after drawing. I can change it again and again and define the radius of the corners independently too.
I don't use Photoshop a whole lot, but just wondering...
I've created a rectangle with a different colour stroke. I decided that I wanted a slightly different size of radius and an entirely different colour of stroke. Do I keep having to make new ones, or is there a simple way to edit the one that I have already made?
