We have a drawing that has been exploded purged, overkilled, audited and we still cannot decrease the size of it. Theres no blocks, theres no 3d, its a very simple drawing but I feear its corrupted. I've tried copy/blocking the information out of it but that just makes it crash. I cant attach it its too big! (16 meg)
View 9 RepliesMy picture’s original size was 108.2 MB in tiff. After I developed my photo in Lightroom and exported the new image, the file decrease to 50MB in tiff. Why did Lightroom decrease the file size to more than half the original size? Is there a way to increase the exportation file size to that I may develop a large size print?

I have a graphic that I use for rounded corner effects in a website. For border and shading reasons, I am using images that span the whole width of the element, not using individual corner images. So, my image would look something like this:

I've had to create a number of these images in varying widths, based on whatever element it is to accent. What I'd like to do is have my base PSD image be, say, 1000 pixels wide, and when I need to create a graphic that is 200px wide, I would just remove 800px of width from canvas, but from the center, and have the sides collapse in together.
Within gimp, I selected a portion of one image, copied it, and pasted it on another image. Now I want to take the pasted selection and increase/decrease its size. What tool does this? 'Grow' and 'Scale Image' doesn't work.

(c_not_use_batch.jpg) If I produce the new file using batch convert, the screen size is reduced (c_use_batch.jpg) However, the setting for producing the files are the same (c_setting.jpg)
The files and settings are the same. The only difference is using batch convert or not.
This happens to Video Studio Pro X3 and X5.
I am currently working for pepsi factory with huge machines in their factory building. My problem is that these drawings are very big and not loading quite well even in high performance systems. My current drawing size is about 120MB, without any hrefs.

Does this mean that we need to have different title blocks each time we print in an A4 paper size with different scale?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI’m a PS user new to Illustrator (CS6). In PS, using the bracket keys [] to increase/decrease brush point size will simultaneously update the data displayed in the tool panel at the top.
While I can use the bracket keys in Illustrator to change the appearance of the brush stroke, it is not being updated in the tool panel input or in the stroke window…so I can essentially have (2) 3 pt strokes created with the same brush that don’t visually match but whose display properties DO match. Because I will be doing lots of editing I certainly don’t want to work this way.
As an engineering company we have started to convert hundreds of our drawings from AutoCAD to PDF using a batch utility.
However every file that is converted into a PDF file is opened by a PDF Viewer. We want to prevent this.
I opened my *.pc3 file and removed the check from the appropriate box. See below
I press OK, then save the file and close. However when I reopen the file, I see the box for Openining in PDF Viewer has been rechecked. No matter what I do, I cannot permanently remove the check from this box.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwhen i bind the xref's the file size is increasing up to 50mb. the size of the file before binding is 4.5mb. i tried all the options whic ppl given in the discussion here. purged(all regeapps,zero txts etc.),wblock even some lisps. but all in vain. even i tried to audit but it took 2hrs and nothing happened. this dwg containing only lines poly lines, blocks, txts etc. no images and not even dence hatches also. 1500 drawings like this. i have to submit the softcopy soon.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing that has a filesize of 10meg even when there are no entities in the drawing.There are about 1000 lietypes in the drawing but it wont let me purge them out.These are what are most likely causing the bloat.Some things I have tried without success...
Erase all then purge 3x and audit then purge 3x then audit. Qselect shows no entities in drawing.Save back to acad 2007 and repeat above
We use LT 2012, and recently we started having issues with file size.
Some of our drawings went from 1.5MB to 12MB after saving.
We tried saving as DXF then PURGE, -PURGE to reduce the size but always comes back.
Now, in one of the drawings I did PURGE, AUDIT, -PURGE and erased everything in the drawing, file is still 1.8MB.
How I can reduce the file size in AUtoCAD 2011.

I don't know what happened, but my autocad file doesn't open up with a message "drawing file is not valid". I opened it at home once in Autocad 2012 - Student version and I open it at school usually every other day in Autocad 2012 - Educational version and it opens up properly at both places. But this tuesday I tried to open it, and it didn't open. I really need this file to be recovered because this drawing was complicated and I finished it. So, it will be a real pain to do it all over again plus the time I will waste. I am going to attach that file here.
