I have always left my ltscale @ 1, but I ran a cross this question on a test."What is the Ltscale fact for a drawing plot size=200x150 and limits=(0.00,0.00) (600.00,450.00)
on the test it is multiply chose 2, 3, 4 and UCSVP..I don't want the answer just how do I figure ltscalt factor?
Using ObjectARX2013, I have to solve problems.
When I plot PNG or JPG file, its paper size is needed to edit according to drawing size.
I want to know the source code or function(or method) - C#.
I've always been taught to set the LTSCALE to the scale of my vport, and set psltscale to 0 (Civil Design). And it has always worked great until I came to work at an Enviromental Consultant frims, that likes to mix units and do stuff the hard way. But thats beside the point.
I've read multiple post about setting the LTSCALE to 1 or .5 and leaving PSLTSCALE to 1 or whatever. There are TONS of post about it.
The reason I'm bringing it up is because EVERYBODY in my drafting department sets the LTS to 1, then manulipates the linetype scales individually threw the properties. This drives me absoutly insane!
So if I have a drawing that the vport is to 1:80, what should the LTSCALE and PSLTSCALE be set to?
I've picked up someon elses drawings and for some reason in paperspace the ltscale is set to 10. i've tried changing the global scale factor to 1 in the linetype manager but it keeps changing back to 10 when i tab through the different sheets.
i normally have both my ltscale and psltscale set to 1 in paper space (and celtscale=1) and have a custom macro asigned to a button for my modelspace views ie 1.100,20,10 etc and a macro/button setting the ltscale back to 1 when returning to paperspace and this worked nicely.
why the global scale factor keeps reverting back to 10?
why when i try to plot a scale drawing my profile loses it scaled size and all texts and images are huge.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to plot a drawing with a viewport (of a 3D planview) in paperspace. The viewport has the "3D Hidden" shade plot property applied. The plot preview shows all the entities color-by-layer. I am plotting with a plot style that assigns all colors to black. Typically the plot preview shows all linework black when plotting with this plot style applied. The resulting plot (from an Oce tds700) shows the linework in a "grayscale" quality, not the normal solid black linework typically associated with a 2D viewport plotted on the same plotter with same plot style.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAmong about a dozen ACAD users in my office, one is missing the "Arch D (landscape)" paper size that accompanies the PC3 file we generally use. I have checked that the roll size and other settings in the machine in question and all of that looks good. I don't want to edit this PC3 as it works for everyone else and don't want to create a new PC3 for this one user.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using ACAD 12 and am trying to obtain a TIFF image of my drawing, but the linewidths do not seem to be registering. I know this because if I change the output device to PDF or to our printer, they show up (and show up in the preview), but when TIFF is selected, all linewidths seem to revert to 0.0000. Any thoughts? I am plotting in B/W exclusively.

Does this mean that we need to have different title blocks each time we print in an A4 paper size with different scale?

We have a drawing that has been exploded purged, overkilled, audited and we still cannot decrease the size of it. Theres no blocks, theres no 3d, its a very simple drawing but I feear its corrupted. I've tried copy/blocking the information out of it but that just makes it crash. I cant attach it its too big! (16 meg)

View 9 Replies View RelatedWe do most of our drawing in 2D – quaint I know, but that’s the way the office works. On occasion we’ll do something as a solid model to guide a client understand a complex roof or a clearance problem. We started a model for a project we are working on and ended up using it as building elevations.
The problem is with plotting. If I use our standard office CTB (which is set to print as black), I get color printouts no matter what I try. I have tried using an STB and changing all our layer colors to “7” in an attempt to make it print black, but I'm getting extremely undesirable - seemingly random - line weight results.
The client wants the next project done in 3D as well and I’d like to be able to have the elevations look right.
Is there a way to apply plot styles and line weights to a dwg file like 'dwf ePlot' does but keeping the results in .dwg format?

The lineweight is a half of the original. I think i have tried everything.
It shows correctly in the Plot Preview but when printed there are no dotted hatches and lines are much thinner.

When I use the pdf plot drivers from AutoCAD or the export to pdf option the resulting pdf is not available to the other computer trying to access it through a shared folder.
When I plot to pdf with batch plot or export the drawing to pdf and save the file in the shared folder, the other computer can not open the pdf (file not found) or attach the file to an email (you do not have permission)
Why is this? All other files share and open fine. Only pdf files from batch plot, plot to dwg to pc3, or export to pdf. This is a pain and I still have to use another plot driver (cutepdf) to get a fully useable pdf for our office.
AutoCAD - Why does the Normal plot style plot in color? Black seems to make a lot more sense. Almost everyone in Architecture uses black prints most frequently so that should be the default. And you can't adjust Normal to all black. So what was AutoDesk's reasoning?
View 9 Replies View RelatedOur supplier sent us some wierd size pdfs that are not full size or half size. I am trying to resize them to full size pdfs (Arch D) but am unable to figure this out in Acrobat.
My work-around is to insert them in AutoCAD and scale them based on known dimensions, then print to pdf. Unfortunately the resulting file is collosal and the quality degraded.
I have tried numerous times to make my paper size and actual plot size the same. My paper size is 24 x 36 but for some reason it rotates the paper and the output is 36 x 36, every time! When I look at it on the preview, it looks correct but then the paper comes out with a foot of paper at the top of the drawing. I've created new page sizes, etc.

Opening an old file LTSCALE every time resets to 100 instead of 1.
We tested MEASUREMENT and MEASUREINIT but this problem keeps coming back.
It happens on my colleagues computer not mine!
Is there some system variables set locally causing this only on some computers?
I am setting up a template for my company and have noticed that I can't change the line/curve/spiral LTscale:
I have chosen a layer with the CENTER linetype for my line/curve/spiral in the style editor. The Alignment appears correctly with the CENTER linetype. However I want to make the dashes a bit bigger, so I change the LTscale in the style editor to 4, but then nothing changes.
When I change the same setting for the "line_extensions" element to the same layer, these WILL update when changing the LTscale.
All my LTSCALE, PSLTSCALE, MSLTSCALE are set to 1.
All other lines, such as polylines and featurelines, as well as the line extension lines of the alignment update correctly. Its just the alignment line.curve/spiral elements that do not.......
Are these locked somewhere?

Can I change the LTSCALE in paper space and in model space interchangeably?
I am struggling with the batt insulation big time. I get it looking perfect in paper space and then I go to model space and move a piece of batt insulation and then when I go back to paper space the LTSCALE of the batt insulation has changed. It's really weird. Batt insulation is killing me. I set the LTSCALE globally as well as each individual batt insulation but it keeps changing without me messign with the LTSCALE. Killing... Me...
I want to print my CAD drawing, but when I select DWG to PDF, the largest size it provides is A0. Is there a way to make a custom size within the plotting manager?
