I am using ACAD 12 and am trying to obtain a TIFF image of my drawing, but the linewidths do not seem to be registering. I know this because if I change the output device to PDF or to our printer, they show up (and show up in the preview), but when TIFF is selected, all linewidths seem to revert to 0.0000. Any thoughts? I am plotting in B/W exclusively.

When attach image (tif) with no path. is saved, de image will be saved without a path. dir. Only when we change the image (with RasterCAD) when we now save the drawing the hole path dir. will be saved.
When we used AutoCAD 2006 this will not be the case. The tiff. will stay no path. We move/copy drawing with image to other dir. very often.

If you draw in decimal how do you plot in a 1:100 etc scale, i.e. how to plot a metic, scaled drawing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to plot a drawing with a viewport (of a 3D planview) in paperspace. The viewport has the "3D Hidden" shade plot property applied. The plot preview shows all the entities color-by-layer. I am plotting with a plot style that assigns all colors to black. Typically the plot preview shows all linework black when plotting with this plot style applied. The resulting plot (from an Oce tds700) shows the linework in a "grayscale" quality, not the normal solid black linework typically associated with a 2D viewport plotted on the same plotter with same plot style.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am new to 2013 and having issues when I print files that have pdf underlays that are set with a border of color 8 but still print dark on the sheet. I have the same issue with TIFF files that want to show the white background and everything dark. Is there an easy fix to plot it greyed out so you can see what you are proposing over what is existing?

I have drawn plans and am trying to send them out for printing on 24" x 18" paper. I used the add a plotter wizard to get the Tiff version 6 plotter added to my plotters, and the tiff it puts out is only 4" x 3". I have tried scaling the picture, changing the paper size, looking through all the options in the layout tabs and plotting tabs. I can't get anything to work. My only options in for paper size in the plot menu are pixel sizes, I can't select paper size. I am using autocad 2005.

On occasion we’ll do something as a solid model to guide a client understand a complex roof or a clearance problem. We started a model for a project we are working on and ended up using it as building elevations.
The problem is with plotting. If I use our standard office CTB (which is set to print as black), I get color printouts no matter what I try. I have tried using an STB and changing all our layer colors to “7” in an attempt to make it print black, but I'm getting extremely undesirable - seemingly random - line weight results.
The client wants the next project done in 3D as well and I’d like to be able to have the elevations look right.
Is there a way to apply plot styles and line weights to a dwg file like 'dwf ePlot' does but keeping the results in .dwg format?

The lineweight is a half of the original. I think i have tried everything.
It shows correctly in the Plot Preview but when printed there are no dotted hatches and lines are much thinner.

When I use the pdf plot drivers from AutoCAD or the export to pdf option the resulting pdf is not available to the other computer trying to access it through a shared folder.
When I plot to pdf with batch plot or export the drawing to pdf and save the file in the shared folder, the other computer can not open the pdf (file not found) or attach the file to an email (you do not have permission)
Why is this? All other files share and open fine. Only pdf files from batch plot, plot to dwg to pc3, or export to pdf. This is a pain and I still have to use another plot driver (cutepdf) to get a fully useable pdf for our office.
I am trying to obtain a GIF image. I have JPEG image and on top of it I added a layer that is a flame made out with Fire Animator plugin. Saving as a gif will left me with a JPEG file only and no animated GIF.

View 9 Replies View RelatedOur local agency has come up with a requirement that CAD-generated drawings be submitted to them as 200 dpi TIF files, of between 300kb and 900kb. They do not accept dwg, dwf, or even pdf.
When we create a new plotter in AutoCAD, using any of the raster file formats, setup for the format only allows 100dpi. You can create larger numbers of pixels, 1024x768 vs 1600x1200, for example, but that is not translating into higher resolution.
We have tried the route of printing to pdf, then converting to TIF, but the file sizes are coming out far too large.
If we are unable to find a solution, I guess we can always print to hardcopy and then scan to tif. In 1996 I would have been happy to do that, but not now.
Our specific version of AutoCAD is AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013, but I am sure this is more a generic AutoCAD issue.
Is it possible in VBA to change the linewidth and type (dashed ...) of a SketchLine3D? I am looking for the parameters in the 'format' menu (Sketch3D!) of IV2013. I found a color override but not the other parameters.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have found that when I Publish, the drawing comes out shifted about 1/8" down and 1/8" left as compared to when I use Plot. Which of course is just enough to cut off the sheet border which is 1/2" from the paper edge. I am using the same Page Setup for both Publish and Plot, same drawing.
This is to an Oce TDS600, and it only happens with 15x21 paper size. All paper sizes are set to 0" border. Probably an Oce issue, but have any of you seen this before?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm referencing in a WMS image (a momochrome LiDAR image) which shows fine on the screen. However when I plot, the image won't -- all other aspects of the drawing come through. It's not on a non-printing layer. I've fiddled with RASTERPERCENT, RASTERTHRESHOLD, and the plotter properties (currently using a PDF plotter but I have tried others with no success) but can't get the image to come through. Adding to the frustration, other images on the same server (i.e. color aerial) come through and plot without issue. Why this particular image won't plot? According to the WMS administrator, there is nothing on their end that "locks" the image prevening it from plotting.
