Looking for the link to download a DWG to TIFF converter that:
Can convert big sizes (up to A0)
Can use high resolution (600 pixels)
Can use plot styles with Lineweights
Can convert to black and withe or gray scale.
Can convert embeded TIFs (logos)
Preferentially working within AutoCAD
I'm sending tiff files to GIMP (version 2.6.7 for Windows) from a raw converter. The tiff files contain a lot of EXIF data such as Fnumber, FocalLength, ExposureTime, ISO. and so-on. When I save as jpeg from GIMP, most of the EXIF data is discarded. In the "Save as JPEG" dialog, the checkbox "Save EXIF data" (under Advaned Options" is unchecked. It is grayed out so I cannot check it.
In Chapter 6 of the GIMP manual, it says
Although GIMP uses the “libexif” library to read and write EXIF data, the library is not automatically packaged with GIMP. If GIMP was built with libexif support, then EXIF data is preserved
Here are my questions: (1) Is the Windows version of GIMP packaged with libexif? (2) If not, is there a workaround?
I am cleaning up the Hard Drive on my Mac G4. My scanned images are taking a great portion of the 80 Gig drive. I finished clearing my external drive by removing nearly 60 gigs of images by storing them on DVD. I will do the same for the Mac drive.
My trouble is that all my images are stored in TIFF format which takes up enormous space no matter the storage. Since I output images in various sizes, mainly prints, to 30 x 40 inches, I need a master image archived in the best format for such. However, I do not want to fill my drives, or DVD, with large files. Code:
I have a tif background that shows up in my pdf plot preview, but it will not actually print. All I get is a pdf showing the linework. I've recently switched from 2008 to 2010 and am wondering if that has anything to do with it as I had no problems in the past? While the tif file is large, it always plotted in 2008.
As I can't bind a Tiff file (X-Ref) within AutoCad 2010, Is there another way to fully embed a tiff file into drawing file, so I only have to email one file to my client?
When attach image (tif) with no path. is saved, de image will be saved without a path. dir. Only when we change the image (with RasterCAD) when we now save the drawing the hole path dir. will be saved.
When we used AutoCAD 2006 this will not be the case. The tiff. will stay no path. We move/copy drawing with image to other dir. very often.
-Originel ... dwg/tif
-To-Built ... dwg/tif
-As-Built .... dwg/tif
Problem is that the image will be saved in the wrong dir.
I am using ACAD 12 and am trying to obtain a TIFF image of my drawing, but the linewidths do not seem to be registering. I know this because if I change the output device to PDF or to our printer, they show up (and show up in the preview), but when TIFF is selected, all linewidths seem to revert to 0.0000. Any thoughts? I am plotting in B/W exclusively.
I am having trouble with my tif files coming in with a white background (ala pdf) vs the black with white "lines" I prefer. I think it is because I converted pdfs to tifs, then edited them in photoshop to remove linework, then saved. Perhaps a setting in the saved options is wrong?
Or a color option in photoshop? I thought I had it all set but only the 1st one worked as desired...can't figure out what changed. We insert the plan sheets as a layer that is grayed out with our linework dark so using the white background won't really work.
I am using PSE 12 as an external editor for Aperture. When I ask to use an external photo editor, Aperture creates a .tiff file in my Aperture folder, launches PSE 12 and tells it to edit that .tiff file. This all works great. When I am done editing in PSE 12, I ask it to save the file and it saves it back to the original Aperture folder with a .tif extension. I can instead say "save as" and then it suggests the file name with a .tif extension. When I correct the extension to .tiff it warns me that I'm going to overwrite the file (exactly what I want!). I say yes and then I find out that PSE did not overwrite the file, but wrote it as a .tif file anyway. I have to go to the folder, delete the .tiff file and rename the .tif file to .tiff and then everything is fine - but what a hassle.
I have been ask to supply a PDF to DWG converter on our CAD network. I wanted to ask around for what others are using for this and which might be the best one out there.
Looking for a pdf to dwg converter that works very well. I am recreating some old drawings with Inventor that are currently in pdf format and would like to convert them to dwg's simply so I check the missing dimensions using AutoCAD. I've seen several converters out there and have tried one. However, the converter I tried resulted with the dwg being created with short polyline segments.
Problem converting with DWGgateway PDF converter for autoCAD 2002.
Every time I try to convert my drawing in paperspace to a PDF, the objects in the model space do not show up. However everything on paperspace appears. The layers are not set to do not plot.
Any program to convert 3D solids to a mid plane surfaces? We need our models in this form to do FEA work on them. I wanted to ask this question before I took on the task of trying to create one myself.
I downloaded and Installed Adobe DNG Converter because Lightroom 4 would not recognise the .NEF raw files from my Nikon D3200. When I subsequently plugged a card into the reader the PC produced USB sounds repeatedly. I had to shut down the PC in order to safely remove the card from the reader.
I am a sim racer and I used to use a DDS converter when I had Win XP. Now I have Win 7 and the converter no longer works. So..... I am using Paint.net now. It opens the file but you can hardly see the car. It has a checkered cover.
How do I remove this so I can see the car really well ?
I cannot figure out where to put the new DNG Converter. The download is installing itself in a folder (within PS5) but it is not recognized by the program at the time of use!
I have CS4 and just bought a D7000, realised it won't convert the RAW images to DNG. I have downloaded the latest converter but it is not seeing the images on the SD card or from a folder on the laptop. Have downloaded several times.
I just installed DNG converter 7.2, which is supposed to work with my new Lumix DMC-G5. However, DNG converter does not see the Lumix rw2 raw files when I open a folder containing the files.
Accepted File Types: The Photo Center accepts JPG (.jpg) and TIFF (.tif) files under 6 megabytes (MB) each. You may add up to 200 MB at a time. (Quote)
This is what i can uploading for 8x10 prints from my PS "creations" i have several photos with many layers and some are less, and i was able to increase or decrease the pixel in each photo,to match the allowable (under 6 MB) tolerance.is there a way to calculate the ratio from pixel to MG to my Max.allowed? (basically i want 5.99 MB)
I am looking for a function that will convert my 20.000 TIF pictures (working on an grafical animation movie) to j.peg pictures. (same time its also going to be converted from 1280 x 720 to 720 to 405) Is this possible with Photoshop?
As musician I use a program called Spark, in which you can import eg a folder with aiff files in 44.1 kh and then you create a new map and all the files are converted to e.g wav 22.1 kh...well...this function I would like Photoshop to have...
